Its really good. Especially for a 101 proof $50 bourbon… I blinded it against a Kentucky spirit cn-e. They were so close but the 70th anniversary edged it out because of a longer finish… but the kentucky spirit was $10 more than the 70th. So being a limited edition and being super tasty its a must buy if you can find it… now would i go out of my way and pay over msrp for it… probably not. I would just get a good kentucky spirit pick.
Hey glad you guys scored one so soon! I love it on its own. I will admit it got beat up by some older 101s and Kentucky Spirits when I did a blind right away. Its got gentle, fruitier flavors that got overshadowed by the bolder spicier bottles. Might be that it hasnt had the months or years of air that the others did. I think its great on its own right now and got myself some backups. Cheers!
Been buying way too much juice, so passed on this so far. Been seeing good amounts of it over last couple weeks at $43.19 +tax. Seems like there's many better options; Found a WT 101 dusty $22.50, which is probably as good or better than this. Still Austin BP 116P $42.50 til end or month. Know a store that did a JD BP Rye Pick, that should be in by December. TW has JD BP Rye $75 that they try to market as a Pick, though pretty sure it is just a shelfer with their name tag on it. Gonna find out soon though & will let you know.
@@motohead077 yes let us know…. And I hear you on this one…. Was good for what it is… but did go out and grab another WT 101 so I can put it up against it and see if it is really twice as good….
Battle of the turkey's lets go this vs regular 101 vs 101 single barrel gobble gobble gobble.
@@Roman_Carter lol… added to the list
Great episode fellas. I'll be on the lookout for this one. Would like seeing it in a blind with the bottles you mentioned.
@@mattschmitt9924 ok sounds good!!
I had to pay the piper and got this for $60. I helped a small Mom n Pop store by me. I hope to get the same tasting notes
@@TheReal_DeanD let us know… love to hear what others get
Great Bottle bought it a couple of weeks ago. Opened it up what a great nose and flavors. Looking for a backup. Great price and great review.
This one perfect. Classic Turkey profile and so drinkable. I really hope this one still hits shelves because I'm grabbing another
@@GOTAisMe I hear ya…

@@PlazmaStone tough when you know you have the regular 101 in the low 20s… we will see what happens in a blind

Still looking for one. I hope I can get one. You are very lucky to get one.

@@javieracosta3439 love when whiskeys do that…. Going to have to put this in a blind to see what happens though
I would love to see the battle of the 101s. I am curious how this bottle, I really like, would compare with the Kentucky Spirit Camp Nelson F.
@@ScottW4631 I have that written down… we will make that happen… I am curious also…
picked up 2 yesterday crack one shelf other. did side by side with 101 and 70th has better nose and flavor imo and your right its way more mouthfeel.
