Almost all cats have that problem, Leopards and Jags are Ok at climbing down trees but only the Margay who can twist their hind legs 180 degrees are true tree cats.

Mate that lion was never going to get that leopard. Leopards have incredibly sharp claws that can rend your face. If anything the Lioness saved itself by leaving that tree.
And yeah tbh that Leopard wasnt in much danger... the female was more likely to fall if it kept pushing it. Would kill a lion if she landed from there awkwardly.
The leopard can actually fight off and probably even kill a lion. It just chooses not to for whatever reason. I watched a vid where a small leopard fought off a lion and lioness at the same time.

Saved by the real queens of the jungle! The agility of leopards is amazing, even balancing on the thinnest branches! Even if she fell out of that tree, she would have survived, a lion would injure itself!
I think u can but u must have something in your hand ( a stick or something like that) to hit it or poke it with. I believe that might work coz a lion is not as agile upside a tree.
It is not that sad, it's still alive lol! As for Cheetahs, yeah that's the sad one, they get mauled by both leopards and lions if they fail to pay attention to their surroundings. Otherwise, no predator has a chance in the open savannahs to catch them (and they try) !
@@Xosidhethey can't though. They live because the heftier cousins allow them. A cheetah needs 5 minutes to catch its breath after hunting, and over 15 to reasonably recuperate. Lions, hyenas and leopards drive them off and often do not chase. Their kills are better than killing them. Dudes use hide gloves and overalls when catching cheetahs. They are properly weak cats. The mouth is only good on the backs of vulnerable smaller animals.
The thing that amazes me the most is how more people aren't killed by wildlife. That lion just run up and also jumped down from a tree. Surely she could've ran and jumped into one of these trucks and clawed someone's throat out before they'd even think to react.
They are smart enough to know that they would be killed afterward. They also don't see human as a desirable prey, it would seem we look ugly and don't look very appetising to them.

Lion has virtually no chance fighting a leopard who has the catbird seat in a tree 😂 leopards are more agile, weigh less and understand the tree better than lions.

Just like most cat kinds including domestic cats, lions can climb up the trees but they can't climb down. Leopard, however, can climb up and down the trees. This is due to the structure of their claws. You can see how the lioness tried to climb down once the meat went down, but she just couldn't. So instead she decided to fight the leopard because she didn't have better things to do lol
The lion didn't look down while climbing up, later he got scared.. then he focused back on fighting the leopard. The leopard was safe up there i believe unless the branch broke and it fell down. 😅. Amazing footage. Humans need to learn this lesson, dont steal from others or the weak, that's what animals do.
These are the 2 Othawa subadult lionesses ( the descendents of the famous Mapogo Coalition ), they just turned 2yo in march this year and they went through absolute hell, who followed them from last year to now saw the absolute best and absolute worst of lion dynamics, drama and plot twist after plot twist worth a full length documentary. Without getting in any of the specifics or the "poetic" part of the tragedy, they had 3 fathers, 3 mothers, and 4 siblings, all now dead, with the exception of one nomadic father. They became orphans in an insane series of tragedies and went to survive in their own for almost a year now, but they need 2 more to be old enough to be accepted by male lions and mate, hopefully rebuilding the pride.
Good for the elephants! People can learn from their behavior, do something instead of standing around and taking video, talking and doing nothing about the situation! 🙂

I've seen lions and lionesses so focused on trying to get something out of the tree that by the time they get to the top they don't know how to get down and sometimes fall off causing fatal injuries.

That's the highest and longest (in a tree) I've ever seen a lion go after a leopard. And she wasn't just interested in the dead impala, or she would have gone down after it when it fell. She seriously wanted to kill that leopard.
Man, I noticed that recently, Lions are beginning to climb trees more often and they're starting to get more comfortable with it by the day. Looks like very soon, it won't be a safe haven for leopards anymore because these lions are evolving into climbing trees comfortably these days.
Unless they shrink leopards will still be decently safe. Yes lions *can* climb trees but due to their size they can't get as high, nor are they as agile.

They might be smart but to say they are smarter than any human is a big stretch. I might be biased but I can't see how you can say the elephant is a greater creation of god over humans. They are nice animals and all but seriously they aren't even close to humans. It is sad about the poaching though. Killing them for food I could understand but just for their tusks or sport is wrong.
Looks like they wanted the leopard’s kill and one lion ran off with it when the leopard dropped it. The elephants wanted all the cats gone. They weren’t protecting the leopard.

Elephants have my utmost respect and love for being excellent animals who are family oriented, and for their amazing attitude and intuition they possess. Brilliantly done by elephants, love them all. They might be smart but to say they are smarter than any human is a big stretch. I might be biased but I can't see how you can say the elephant is a greater creation of god over humans. They are nice animals and all but seriously they aren't even close to humans. It is sad about the poaching though. Killing them for food I could understand but just for their tusks or sport is wrong.
Elephants are wonderful, but claiming they are more intelligent than humans is going too far.
Looks like they wanted the leopard’s kill and one lion ran off with it when the leopard dropped it. The elephants wanted all the cats gone. They weren’t protecting the leopard.
