Haha! I’ve got a bag of 20 pairs in the truck, the palms are rubberized and last quite well but the backs are a fabric which burns from the slightest spark. They look shot but still work pretty well, I do change them periodically..☺️☺️

Hi Gary. I’m a newer blacksmith from Canada 🇨🇦 and have been slugging away with forging some tools and really enjoyed your videos. They’ve helped me with making tongs. So thank you for that! Unfortunately I haven’t had time to watch every video (you have a lot). But I do have a question? I seen that you’ve had a hard go with your left hand (very frustrating I’m sure) but haven’t seen anything on how you are doing these days? Have you had much progress?

The hands are pretty good at the moment, after my shoulder surgery I had to have my right wrist operated on again so I've now had them both done twice! My hands are generally ok if I keep them moving, if I have much time off they go very stiff. The surgeon said I was getting arthritis so keeping them moving was a good idea. I guess age doesn't come alone!
