WHAT WILL WE DO WITHOUT THESE PERFECT ARTISTIC PEOPLE...
Thank you for watching Marthie!
It’s fun to look back to when Arne was less comfortable with English. He’s grown so much in his fluency and ease! I think the world needs to just adopt Norwegian crochet terminologies. Stav?
🇺🇸 💜 🇳🇴
You guys are precious, I'm so glad to have found you. Thank you Arne for your craft and thank you Carlos for you patience in explaining, most of all thank you for the laughs. I've sent your link to my two daughters :) xxx
deathcouchma It’s wonderful that we can see laughter and fun instead of stress and angst with yarn, needles, and hooks! I agree. Translating must be even more complicated! Thank you, thank you! Poor teachers!!! 👍👍
That room is beautiful..deep colors are my personal favorites..so cozy and safe looking. I don't know if you have ever done a 'house tour' video, but if you haven't I hope you'll consider doing one. I watched your garden tour..so beautiful. Amazing area you live in
I really love the banter between you guys. Arne, your work is beautiful and I feel inspired to crochet!
Actually, I kind of like the idea of picking up a little Norwegian as you go along.
I love you both!
I love how absolutely kind to each other you are. So refreshing and fun. 💖
More patterns of these kind of clothes and mandalas would be awesome 🌞
Thank you, we will take a note of that!
Yay ARNE!
I just love spending time with you guys.... you bring so much inspiration and fun 😘😘
Just love Arne's jacket. Can't wait until my skills are good enough to try something like that.
I agree with Arne, just use one term. BUT now I know a tiny bit of norwegian, so I have won the Double - how to crochet, and the norwegian for dc. Excellent.
Good!
denne videoen er bra for oss som kan hekle fra før, på norsk. nå blir det mye lettere å forstå engelske oppskrifter:-) Tusen takk!
Love your videos! So charming! My mom was Norwegian and taught me knitting at a young age. I have loved Nordic knitting and working with fiber ever since :-)
Im confused now. I like knitting more, but father was an avid crocheter. He did some awesome work too. Like you two guys he was always looking for another great pattern. He loved doilies so much.
Your father sounds like a great and interesting man.
Your home looks very cozy. And I appreciate the two camera angles that capture the work as well as your personalities! Look forward to more videos.
Such well done videos. Fun to watch and so clear. Great camera work too! I’m jealous of your gorgeous scenery. ❤️🇳🇴
you are both so fabulous to watch, thank you for the informative videos, I'm new to your channel and kind of new to crochet, you make it fun 😊
I can finely understand! I have such a hard time transposing patterns ! I need to see it made and then I can make it!! Thank you!!
The beginner videos are excellent, thank you 💐
You make things so easy.....Thank you!
My crochet class fell through this summer so I'm glad I found you. You've just taught me Norwegian knitting (just needs practice) so I think I'll do well in this class. ( I think I prefer "starfish" to double or treble crochet :-)
Guess I'm late to the party. Just found your videos. LOVE LOVE LoVE them!!!!! Please continue making them. Oh and I LOVE your yarn.
Kelly Olguin me, too! I’m even MORE late to this 🎉!! Party on!
Brilliant, love you both great videos.
Great job! Enjoyable to watch!
We could learn the Norwegian words. It might be easier for all of us!
You All Are Marvelous Love Your Channel. Very Informative Charming Videos. Thank You
You guys are funny! I see myself in this situation! I learned to knit in Canada but I live in Brazil. I am always confused by the different names! Lol
Thank you very much! It's super lessons!
Love your sweaters🙂
your sweaters are so beautiful!
Good to see Ur videos and conversation s
A very enjoyable vídeo. I think that Arne taught me how to speak Norwegian in this one. "Stauvich" is that Norwegian for double, or treble, crochet?
That snowflake is lovely. You both make me laugh with the confusion of stitch names. 🤪
you two are very cute together, fun to watch
I love your videos I like to watch them while I knit!!
Quick correction though
U.S. U.K.
Single. single
Half double. Double
Double. Triple
Triple. Treble
I love the video. We are in our 3rd week of lockdown so I decided to learn to crochet. I can knit well including Estonian and Shetland lace patterns. But I never learnt to crochet. I can understand everything that is being said. Congratulations on your excellent English. My problem is once I make a chain where exactly do I make the next stitch? Is it through one of the circle chain stitches or through the centre of the circle.? It may help if in future beginners videos, the camera focuses on where the hook is going through the work.
Suggestion? If you know how to do this....let Arnie say it in Norwegian and have printed on the screen double/ treble for other viewers? I would learn your language and translate in my brain eventually😄 and be so happy!
Just FYI... crochet terms in Canadian English are the same as in American English. Thanks for your great tutorials!
We will learn Norwegian for double crochet.
Arne which yarn and hook size to start this project with been so interested in crocheting,,,Now I found you to teach me....I learn knitting on my own with You Tube how handy
What is better holding your crochet as a pen or a pencil? My right hand thumb tends towards inflammation.
I am setting a goal to learn to crochet this year. Since I am a finger pointer when I knit, I’d like to start off learning how to hold the crochet yarn in a more relaxed way. Do any of Arne & Carlos’ videos show how to hold/tension the yarn? I’ve looked, but may have missed that lesson.
We only have on knitting and tension
@@ARNECARLOS Thank-you for getting back to me. I am doing a pretty good job with my crochet, right now specializing in valentine hearts. ❤️😊. I will continue to practice relaxing my index finger.
What type and brand of yarn do yoou use for crocheting?
So funny! What do you have instead of doubles and trebles?
Hei, takk for fin oppskrift, men den er litt forvirrende, kunne dere ha oversatt den til norsk? Det hadde vært veldig fint :-) Uansett tusen takk :-)
Poor Arne! Easier for us to learn Stave and loop the yarn twice around the needle! 😁
Would you redo this but with a much bigger needle and yarn?
Maybe one day!
Thank you guys,..
I really enjoy your tutorial ,
And your company , too.
I wanted to count the stitches
But Arne you moved your left hand , too much.
Anyway I love to follow you
How can I get your book?
And I would like to know if you have a tutorial
Showing your book, before I buy it
Thank you
God bless you! ALWAYS.....
You are welcome, thank you for watching?
Hej Arne og Carlos. Har I lavet et diagram over denne krystal ? Den er super flot. Det er svært for mig, at forstå de engelske udtryk. Men norsk forstår jeg fint. Der findes måske allerede en opskrift på svensk eller norsk?
Hi I am taslema, i am Bangladesh. Can i talk about you. I like also Kushi Kata.
3mm hook used by Arne. I am writing this here because I'll not remember and the guys never seem to mention hook size. Lol

ARNE & CARLOS - Knitting, Home, Garden and Lifestyle thanks guys. I simply forgot about your blog. Have a great week. I do love and enjoy your videos. I just ordered 2 more of your books which I believe I now have 5 books. Thanks for all your shares. Hugs from Canada.
I think I should learn *stafid* it might be easier 😂🤣
Maybe,
Zig suggest you teach us the crochet terms in Norwegian and we can translate our various and confusing words.
Norwegian lesson staver
♥ + ♥
:-)
Please consider creating a pattern for us: a crochet cardigan. P l e a s e?
Thank you for your suggestion
Please give us the spelling for the double chrochet (USA). It sounds like stavits??? I'm all for learning some Norwegian! Lol
Stav - Enkelstav for a double crochet and dobbelstav for a treble crochet.
No way, 😅. Leave it alone. I think it is Carlos, in blue top makes me so confused. 🤣
😆
I'm so confused :)
You can slow it down with the UA-cam little wheel that is on the side.
