No offence dude. But the background music is slightly drowning ur voice. But a great video
Hey did you have to upgrade the brake line or clutch cable ? If so what did you go with thank you
I believe I did. I just bought the one clutch cable for a streetbob/standard
No need bushing for that riser?
How did u feed them without de-pinnin them suckers
Hi mate Can i ask, i get fatbob 2019 and i think already installed cam chest kit, it is a normal if the sound its more noisy i dont know its come from primary or at cam, please i hope you reply and give me suggestion, thanks a lot
If it has a can it might make a little more noise but not a lot. Some bikes have more noise than others. U can use a screwdriver like a stethoscope to try and listen to the engine and see where it’s coming from
Fast qestion the head light install my stock head light wont fit correctly and what did u half to do to make the windshield work ?
hello there I have a question do you lose height in the front with these cartridges ? I have a fatbob 2021 and the shop did install the front 43mm axeo .now it looks lower and feels lower in the front.
I don’t believe I lost height but you might if it’s softer than your stock set up.
Great video bud! Just please on the next one turn the background music down.
I just bought this same cartridge kit for my 2021 fxlrs. Are you still running 15wt fork oil? I also heard these run super stiff. I also wanted to know if you are still running these at 0 preload, or do you think they would run better at 1? I know they have the recommended settings based on rider weight. But I have heard some people think they ride better at 1.
Hey brotha, I bought all the same things and just tried installing it on my bike. I got a Sport Glide. I ran into an issue though when trying to put my headlight back in. The cooling fins on the back are too tall, so the headlamp stands off from the bezel too much to make up the screws. Wondering if you had a similar issue?
Amazing, boss.
When u order this riser, digital speedometer came with it right
Did you like that speedometer? Is it easy to see in night and day
This isn’t my bike but I believe my lady likes it
How much altogether
Great work…thank you.
where can i buy the Softail mounting bracket for my 18 fat bob, the link doesnt work anymore
I got a Softail slim tank that I’m putting on my street Bob… 5gal tank… excited.. I might put fxrt fairing too
You covered the most unnecessary details and skipped over the important details. Wth
Great Video content... but WTF is up with the horrible and I do mean HORRIBLE, MUSIC TRAC ... F*#@ ME!!! What did I ever do to you? ... oh my goodness 😳
I see in one of your comments that you switched to the deviant fab fairing. Why is that?
I hoped it would be better, sadly it was one of the worst fairings I ever owned. Had a new crack after every ride and awful customer service
I gave it to my dealer to do it but not sure if the mechanic adjusted to 0 for some one under 250 pounds. Drove for 10 miles my bike back to home its raining 2 days non stop. Didn’t have chance to drive more but the suspension feels very firm than a stock. I am afraid they messed up the adjustment. I am only 184 pounds. How stiff it should be ?
It might be slightly firmer than stock. I didn’t notice much of a difference honestly besides in the corners. I’ve since switched to GP Suspension which is a night and day difference in my opinion
Will this faring fit on 2022 Softail street bob if not where can I buy the mounting bracket
Yes it should, all the necks are the same so anything meant for a 18+ softail will work
What do you suppose would need to be changed to fit the OG Moto 10.5" risers and ODI bars? New upper clutch cable, wiring, brake line?
Ya that should be about all you need, gorilla cables makes some nice wiring extensions, I might be good with the clutch cable if you have a street bob though
@@TheMrJHSN Let me rephrase, what do you suppose are the minimum extra parts I would need to do the job? I know for sure the gauge extension wiring. The less I have to spend on wiring, cables, and lines, the more I'll have to put toward a fairing, bags, and a cam.
@@crvzer it’s really hard to say, each model softail will come with different length clutch and brake line. For the most part wiring is the same I believe. Really depends on what’s more important, downtime or saving money. If saving money then get at least a brake line and clutch line then see if the wires reach, hopefully they do, if not be ready to order wires. Or buy everything u need and make sure u can return what u don’t use is another option
@@crvzer assuming u have a streetbob?
@@TheMrJHSN Correct. 2019. Thanks for the reply. 👍🏼
Do you know if it is possible to use a super thin wrench to remove the lock nut in order to remove the top cap for the left fork? The reason I ask is I have the bare knuckle fork extension and it is basically a kit that you just add new top caps to the existing suspension.
I believe so but I can’t say for sure
When looking at the left side the space between the top cap locking nut and the rest of the internals is super small. I have seen aftermarket cartridge kits installed on the stock forks and they use a special compression tool to disassemble the left fork. My thought was that if I used a thin wrench to break loos the lock nut I could remove top cap without buying this crazy tool. You seem to have way more knowledge on this from watching the vids you have so wanted to get your thoughts on it.
That setup is sweet. Thanks for the vid!
I just bought the same setup for my FXBBS and I would like to know what happened with the gauge extension? Did you find one?
Gorilla cables makes a set
What did you use to widen the holes on the bottom of the bars that connect to the risers? Just a big drill bit?
No I have a mill at my work I used
A dremel will work though
Good video but I didn't see that you checked for pinion shaft runout. If it's not within spec, you would have had to continue with using chain gear setup. Hopefully everything turned out okay.
Hi, I am commenting here because I could not comment on your video where you described your beringer master cylinder . I have just installed a 4 piston beringer axial caliper on my triumph T 100. The stock bike came with Nissim 2 piston ones and i felt the brakes were woefully inadequate to stop a bike as heavy as t 100 that carries a lot of torque. I totally love the upgrade but I am now wondering if I should change the master cyclinder also . Do you think they will make it much better ?
Master cylinder usually shows the biggest difference, I would highly suggest it
Thinking about getting this on my 20 lrs m8 inverted fork. Do this legend raise front end little or stay same as oem?
I like this set up. Do the two brackets plus the light ring come with the kit? Thanks well done.
the question is: how heavy is the whole assembly ? Does anyone have any numbers ?
After installation, If you wanted to change the pre load, would you have to take the wheel and forks etc off the bike ? Or can you leave all that attached and the forks on the bike and take the cartridges back out to adjust the pre load ? Basically I am asking how hard is it to adjust preload once they are installed ? 😀
You would need to remove the cartridges
@@TheMrJHSN do you have any suggestions on how the cartridges can be removed with the absolute minimum amount of work? Is it possible to remove them to adjust preload without taking anything at all off the bike? Thanks for putting the vid up :)
Perfect video!!
How did you get the wires through the bars?
I just staggered them and slid them through. U may have to depin your connectors
Where and how did you install the amp in the fxrt fairing?
Up inside the fairing in the center. It's hard to explain
Hey Mate i have a Harley Davidson Softail Standard With Vivif Black Only and How Do You Put a FXR Head Fairing on My Harley Davidson FXR Head Fairing on My Softail Standard with Vivif Black Only Send Me The Commant VTWIN ENVY
i looveee this crash bar but how do I buy, the link to the guy's IG doesn't have any sort of link
Just shoot him a message
Can it be mounted on a sportster mines a 1993
Anything can be done. I'm not sure if there is a kit for that or not though
Hey brotha, I’m adding a beringer master cylinder to my 2001 dyna fxr super glide, I sliced off my original front brake light switch from my hand controls, and I added the beringer brake light switch, screws right in, but also has reverse polarity, with the new beringer brake light switch my brake light is on with lever unreleased, and off with lever pulled in, basically opposite of what I need it to be doing, not an electrician but if you could help me understand or fix the problem with the brake light switch it would be much appreciated, thank you
You have to order a different switch. That switch is for the newer models. If you call frog specialties they will get you set up quickly 🤘
@@TheMrJHSN fuck yeah man, I really appreciate the quick response, thanks for the help 🤟🏻
@@rileydrumm2081 hell ya man. U picked up one of the best master Cylinders hands down
Bro you got the stock wire setup to work?
Wires aren't much of an issue for 10 inch risers.usially it's the clutch and brake. But also depends how wide your handlebar is that u go with
I'm doing legend axeo kit this week on my 2016 FXDLS.. But I still watched this 😂 doesn't help me, but I still watch.
Haha I mean one side will be pretty similar. Enjoy the new suspension!
You didnt check the gear back lash
I did check it but it wasn't in the video
@@TheMrJHSN what was it , just done one and i need undersize gear
@@allan9584able ibelieve mine was 36 thousandths
Perfect for a Street Bob FXBB. I’m debating adding one.
I'm a huge fan. Once you go with a fixed fairing u never wanna go back
Would you put together the parts list u had to get that set up!!
8.5 inch OG Moto Risers and ODI bars. Guerilla Cables Gauge extension and you should be good to go
TBW throttle tube but u can save 5 bucks if u take the grip off your stock one
I noticed you used a dial-type torque wrench when torquing them down. I crack a head I had just ported when I was installing it using a click-type torque wrench while installing a pin for one of the tensioners at 18#/ft because the material was aluminum on my '02 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Really sucked and I learned to never used that type of torque wrench on aluminum, so good choice on your part.
Tell us about performance how much you gain over all. How does it feel at the seat driving with a stage 2.
At first it felt very fast. But now I have upgrade to a 131 S&S Stroker that's much faster. Still would like more power
@@TheMrJHSN I have same bike and now looking to order this S&S full Cam set up. How much better power than a stage 1 you would say ? Its not a cheap upgrade so I am curious go for stage 3 or stage 2 will be enough.
@@amg5795 I'd say go big bore. it's a noticeable upgrade but most likely you'll end up going to the big bore kit in the end
@@TheMrJHSN S&S ? What would be the price ?
@@TheMrJHSN By the way which cam is this 475G or 475C ?
Just wondering if your wife is still riding with this set up? I’m and about 5’ 4” and I’m looking to bring the bars back to me a little more.
Yes she still is. Love the set up
@@TheMrJHSN Thank you very much!!
Running rich code after this Have to tune afterwards right?
Yes definitely need a tune and tuner
@@TheMrJHSN Farting everywhere! Thanks for the response
Use women’s hairspray for your grips. Extra hold if you can. Works great for putting the grip on, sticks great, comes off if you need it too.
