I don't think modern gospel singers know God for themselves. Their music, like their souls, is empty and dead. They repeat what they hear others do. But they never knew Him for themselves. "On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers'" (Matthew 7:21-23)."

I've always wondered this and never heard it explained...Did Mother Campbell have polyps on her vocal chords? I always found it so tragic that that beautiful voice was silenced while she was still living. But even after her voice was reduced to a whisper and she couldn't produce any tones, her stage presence was still 100 and I still enjoyed seeing her when she couldn't sing at all. That's an anointed PRO for you!

Thank God for Sister Albertina Walker and Dolores Barrett. These were some of the finest gospel singers, that sung from there hearts. Nothing is better than this real style of gospel. Yes I'm from old school as they call it. When your down and out, you have to reach back to the old gospel songs and call on Jesus. Thank God for them. Although they're gone on to that city of the heavenly choir.. All of the angles are blending there voices together. Thank God for these two ladies.

I love this song. I sung it Sunday at my church and everyone thought I had made it up because it fits what I've been going through. I wish it could be played in 2020 on (1340 W.L.O.K.am) and (95.7 fm )in Memphis TN.

She's so beautiful. I grew up watching the Barrett sisters. I hate I never got to see them sing live while Delois was still living.
