My work boot review- Brand name vs budget supermarket.
Переглядів 6699 років тому
Is it actually worth buying the big brand names in steel-toe cap construction boots when we just get ruined after a year or so? I wanted to find out, so I purchased 2 pairs of very cheap boots from budget supermarkets, Aldi and Lidl. I compare and give my thoughts. I have NOT been sponsored by any commercial entity to produce this review.

Makita DTD129 impact driver/DSS610 circular saw first look
Gracias¡¡
I have had one of these for a couple of years and I think I understand WHY you have had a problem. Before drilling - YOU MUST PULL THE MAGNETIC HEAD COMPLETELY FORWARD AS FAR AS IT CAN GO OVER THE HEAD OF THE SCREW. Only then should you start drilling as the screw head is safely locked in place by the magnetic hood. If - as you did - you just use the magnet to pick up the screw and then start screwing you have failed to pull the hood forward to correctly lock the screw head in place. Hence you get movement and wear which you would have avoided if it was fully locked before all screwing.
I really wanted to know how it was assembled.
Thanks for the review. Looking at this type of tripoint ladder for my sons garden. The only negative for me is the lack of vertical adjustment on the two front legs. If your garden is relatively flat this shouldn't be too much of an issue. Cheers.
Didn’t workk
these cheap back pack sprayers are a health hazard - dripping weed killer all down your back. Waste of money
Personally I wouldn't use those two yellow bits on a small machine like that
Aligning these things is a game. That plastic triangle is from a xmas cracker.
Hi, thanks for the review! Super late to the party here, but is it at all possible to remove the black railings/extensions on the side?
Just bought one and they come separate, you don't need to install them. I didn't install them as I also got the miter saw stand which comes with supports.
Thanks!!
Put nails in FIRST then pull back the spring lever
The camping cooker cartridges don't burn hot enough. Pretty rubbish really.
Привествую, купил сегодня такую, но у меня тормоза нет, странно Спасибо за видео
Nah mate ... you just tortured yer plants ... that's about it ... its on the name... weed burner
but no blade change which i can tell you is a PAIN IN THE ARSE! :)
Just away to try my one if I can get it to ignite!!
Review of the sprayer was 1 minute at the end.
Love the accent!😁
I think you always get some particles shaved off the screws during use. But when using the magnetic sleeve they stay there and you can see them. 🧲
The sliding bars on mine have started rusting after only a few months.
Really! Mine is permanently housed in a garage. I haven't had anything like that.
Wood cut at 18:28. 3rd i watch looking for this tool in action. I cant understand these fckng reviewers that goes 20.. 30.. 50min talking BS and dont fck cut a piece of stick.
One problem I have noticed, and confirmed from your video, is that the laser line is blocked by the black plastic sawdust shroud when the saw is dropped to it's cutting depth. The laser is fine to align with your cut when the saw is up, but as you lower it the shroud cuts it off - watch the video at 17:00 onwards and you'll see what I mean. Obviously if your workpiece is secured that won't be an issue, but it does mean you have to line it all up, cut, then check after the cut that the edge of the cut aligns with the line of the laser after the cut has been made, rather than seeing any error during the cut. Probably not a big issue, but it's disconcerting when you first notice it. Aside from that, the only problem I have seen with the saw is that it does throw sawdust around rather than collecting a lot of it. The bag does need emptying a lot though, so it does work. Best advice, buy a cheap blower as well, and a dustpan and brush.
the Laser it’s just for reference it’s saves time when positioning your cutting marks. It’s really helpful to aligning with a angle mark when fitting skirting boards… always check yours cut line with the blade teeth and laser just for reference
Danke für's Teilhaben lassen. How many hours did You work on it?
Very good comprehensive, look at the DRT. Thank you! I’ve also watched your strap LOL video which was helpful indeed having not actually use the router ever before and bought the same kit as you have. When is part two out? I think that Makita should be sending you the dust extraction kit, so you can do a review of that as well. (I also use my vacuum cleaner, Charles rather than Henry., at least it’s blue like the Makita stuff a little bit ;-))
A good review. BTW the 4th base reviewed is the offset base, so the cutter is offset from the centre of the tool. Also, you can buy every variant of tool and accessories, with or without case, bag 🙂👍
Hi , Hope it's ok asking ...Would you recommend a Gas weed burner or electric burner ..xx
Never used an electric burner, so can't compare. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I am trying it on river rock gravel drive, mostly grass. Any thoughts.
Buying it tomorrow. Thanks for the helpful review!
I'd go for the propane torch. These weeds will spring right back. I think they need to be fully incinerated for long term results.
Bought the 3/8 inch one yesterday. Does 1/4 inch bit work in it aswell. Struggling to find a 3/8 inch set
Yes
Does anyone know the run time?
It's not an exact science as it has three power settings, and will also depend on how hard the work is. Mine lasts most of the day on power 2 with light/medium use, working on 2x 5ah batteries.
@@tomreviews9668 Is that like 2hours worth of weed whacking?
@@FollowJesusNotME 2x 5ah should do around 1.5hrs full on, continuous strimming. If you're doing this commercially, or just have a large property, I'd still strongly recommend you invest in 2x sets of batteries (so 4 in total). Keep one set fully charged and you're be fine.
Very good, subbed. where is the saw made? the one I've seen doesn't have a brake.
Thanks. Interesting but more of a tutorial on how to improve a lawn using a sprayer rather than a review of the actual sprayer.
Do you disconnect the canister after use ?
hi again Tom, very good video. You mention that you adjusted the laser. I found the nut for moving the laser left and right, but is there a way of aligning it with with the 90 degree cut? The laser is not in line with the square line I mark on a board. Hope this makes sense. Many thanks again, JonB.
The bracket that holds the laser can only adjust left/right. It can only face at the same trajectory as the saw arm and blade. Use the plastic square provided to check alignment between saw blade and fence. I would go by this first, rather than the laser. The laser should confirm the same as explained above. If one edge of your board is out, so is the 90 degree mark you took from it, giving you a false reading. You may have to experiment to conclude which one is lying to you.
@@tomreviews9668 Thank you - you were right - I just corrected the 90 degree cut and the laser line is now fine.
@@mr.arcticson4076 glad you sorted it.
Nice. I looked long, how should I add the copy sleeve with regular base. And in your video you explained fast and well. Propably will not get the makita. Tnx
Is it still in one piece?
Yeah, still going strong.
@@tomreviews9668 Brill I'll get one ordered. 👍👍
402543 HIKOKI carrier (HIKOKI HSC systainers) using Makita MakPac boxes seems compatible fitting wise (tolerances in millimeters are ok from your video) also I have Metabo metBOX systainers (145, 340) which have a different base profile clipping barbs are present but I do not know if also is fitting that Hikoki carrier... Somebody knows ??? ... I want to buy 2 of those Hikoki carriers if compatible for MakPac stack and Metabo metBOX srack...
I got one and its garbage go on ebay and get the ls1080 awesome saw i did have one years ago and its one of the best
Hi I bought one of these but I found the best way was having to hold it longer on the weed and really burning it if you don't hold it on for a long time I found the weeds recovered and grew again
Yep, you need to heat the plant enough so that its cells, which contain water, boil and explode.
I can not get bit out, this is most bizarre design by Dewalt
Didvyou figure it out
nah don't go for the shitty butane one. Get one that runs off a bbq gas bottle. much hotter much better at instant kill for weeds etc.
Właśnie takiego materiału szukałem. Dziękuję;)
From the wear on the shoulder of the driver bit, it looks likes it may be just too short. The manufacturer probably keeps this length as short as possible so that you don't have to manually push the magnet onto each screw. Mount the bit in your impact and spin the bit against a round file to take a little off that shoulder. That should give you the bite you need.
Great review! Just wondering how it's holding up today, is it still tight and accurate fully extended etc? Thanks.
Yes mate. Appears fine. Blade cuts well and true. Hope this helps. Regards Tom.
Hi. I know the trim router allows for 6,8, or 1/4 collet size. Being metric, have you used a 6.35mm and know if this would work? BTW, DRT50ZJX3 is the same here for NZ and Aus versions.
Good review, you have to read the manual well before using, in rushing to use anew tool, ive missed some of there good points, cheers!
That does not look safe at all, Cheers !
Salut. La ce ajuta inelul de copiere?
great info bro
