Welcome to the channel! I’m a medical resident doctor based in Cincinnati. The road to get here was super challenging, and I feel like it was just yesterday that I was an anxious pre-med. So I started this channel to help pre-meds and medical students, share what it's like to become a doctor, and talk about some other cool stuff I like.

How I Scored a 264 on USMLE Step 2 CK
Not gonna lie, this video had potential, but truly an inspiration-for what not to do...
Most die post surgery. Sepsis, pnuemonia, transplant rejection, etc.
Oy handsome you r so good looking I love you ❤
Was not expecting to see this pop up on my feed. Both are my med school classmates!
Do you think is it sutible for first round of 2ck studying or just as the second review and in free time ?
Please tell me all of that effort wasn’t for a plain 22.
He looks like a hacker 😂 He looks like a hacker 💀
horrible technique and horrible editing
It would be awesome if he would share his notes to us
*Artery in leg or arm*
Was not expecting to see this pop up on my feed. Both are my med school classmates!
What is the name of the guy who passed with that high score?? Do he have social media ? I will like to see his notes
The USMLE exam is very difficult to pass, I can't believe i failed step 1after studying with so many materials😞
Mr Richard charged me $399 for Usmle Questions and answers I don't know how guaranteed that is
If that's it then I'm doing it, thanks
Without Mr Richard brown I would still be in abject poverty struggling with life. that’s the greatest testimony gotten so far after years of great loss here on UA-cam, I do thank him and I am grateful
+1

So many things and 19 subjects subjects to study and this dude just writes the differential diagnosis..this brag it out with no real applicable knowledge videos are just always worthless and decieving from the cause🥱
There’s so many better choices for Venous access that are not immediately next to an artery and nerve.
When you said you don’t expect your early podcasts to do well, I know you mean it in terms of views and watch-time, I just want to tell you this podcast was amazing. I’m so much grateful for all the things you guys discussed, so much so that I was taking notes as if this was a lecture. Thank you (I think you are going to do great in UA-cam)
We need more doctors looking into differentials and pathology. Far too many use a compartmentalized approach pushing symptoms off to different specialists or associating symptoms with the first diagnosis and prescribing meds. There are too many doctors gaslighting patients due to their incompetence.
What time do you sleep and what time do you wake up? How do you have that much extra time to work out.
I wish I would study like this style after my first exams
Can you share your one note files???
Guy kinda looks like Young Grandpa Rick
😂
Can we get a video or example of how he made these notes! would like to try similar technique! that would be an amazing video!
“for polite i think”😂
Hey Dr. J i would love to see a detailed document as i am starting my 3rd year soon.
Hey Dr. J any update on the notion link? just finished step 1 and want to start getting organized.
Dude is smart smart
Yep. Then he will probably do derm, forget it all and treat acne for the rest of his career.
Thank you for the very informative video. If possible, I would like to know your opinion on using the CMS forms for Step 2 prep
i wonder how he listed out his differential? like in excel or something? anyone have any ideas
Just a notebook or word doc would suffice.
I recommend just doing the entire podcast section of the DIP deck. It took me about 12 days to go through it and it covers every podcast.
Thank you for the video. Can you share your onenote, It will be very helpful
Would you watch all pathoma videos ? Many people said chapters 1-3 are enough for the high yield pathology concepts. I used a lot of boards beyond till now for for Organ Systems review but I’m wondering if I should catch up with pathoma before I go into uworld. I plan to take it 4 months next to my uni schedule you think that’s doable?
pathoma vids are mostly just reading the info, prob not necessary for all organ systems unless you do 1.8 speed or something
No probe cover used for insertion, palpated after cleaning and again after placement with contaminated gloves, no chlorhexadine or sterile technique, all supplies including uncapped syringe laying in the bed, catheter in a deep vein next to the artery which should not be used for peripheral iv insertions. If this video is what not to do when placing an usg piv you did a great job.
that's actually very doable
Thank you so much for nice guidelines. Love and respect from Pakistan 🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰💐💐💐💐🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
Thank u for bringing great value through your content❤️
Pets have unconditional love for the owners...nothing can replace that❤
Wow 🤠
Awesome content. Thank you doctors
Thank you so much for this valuable information. Not offense but you speak so slow it kills me but thank you for posting this!!!
Then just speed up video 1.5x speed in video settings
Love the content! but by the end of the video, the background musak was as annoying as your neighbour mowing the lawn while you are having a cute brunch outside in your cute garden with guests.
Is doing a qbank like usmlerx before using uworld a good idea?
Sucks how OME isn't free anymore.
Seriously, 280 ? That's not a human
One guy has 283
@@DrGauravThakur38 who, to be honest I'm not interested in working in usa because of the tax stuff but I feel that I wanna ace this exam for no reason other than to break records lol
@@abdoalraimi4424 good luck with everything man :)
@@DrGauravThakur38 thanks, you too
@@DrGauravThakur38a girl just posted her 283 score too🤯
Thank you so much for this video! Just wanted your advice on something I got through Uworld and I have of avg of around 50%. I only have a couple weeks od dedicated and I am wondering should I go through my incorrects or should I reset Uworld? Thank you!
Thank you for this incredible video, Dr. Jalbert! About to start rotations and this has been a tremendous help with developing a game plan for my first rotation. Just wanted to ask if you are still okay with sharing your Notion notes for Shelf & Step 2? I'm an avid Notion user and would really appreciate being able to see how you used Notion as part of your workflow throughout your third year. As clicking the link in your comment still directs to an error, I believe that you would first need to click "share" in the top right corner of the Notion page and then click "publish" to allow the link to be shareable and accessible to us. We would all be truly grateful if you could please update this :)
Hey Tim, thanks for the cool video. curious about the metric you talked about to target your weaknesses, do you mind sharing whatever formula you used?
Hi.im in year 4.so i have around 4 years until my step 1.do you think its a good idea that i start reading kaplan books in these 4 years؟will it ensure my pass؟
Thank you so much for this amazing podcast! It deserves a lot more views, I hope your channel gets more traffic with time.
Who walks your dog while you're away? And feeds him/her?
My wife. Thanks for your concern
@@timjmd Do you think it would be possible for a resident to have a dog if they live alone? or is it too hard?
If you’re a resident with roommates or a partner that visits the house to walk/feed the dog, it’s manageable. If you live alone you might wanna ask a friend to stop by for the dog or hire a dog walker on your long days
A probe cover would do a much better job protecting your pt from whatever was on that probe last.. and there are well documented recommendations to use catheter's that ensure 2/3's of the catheter is in the vessel. Lots of study showing that ac and above is putting pt at higher risk for infiltration and extravasation.. you could probably ask a vascular access RN for help.. check out AVA.
