Judy Garland- Stompin' at the Savory(1936)
The world was a different place when this song was written and when these two wonderful performers sang it... "...a world gone away," to quote an old Chicago song...
I love their harmonies on this song. It's so good!
This heart of mine
Great tune to play bop over 😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Judy I love you so much you gorgeous 😍 woman ❤
What a Singer ! ❤ Her voice was perfect ❤ Rest in peace !!
Everything she sings is sublime!
What a talent! Sublime.
Amazing that she sang like this, after she was told her father was gravely ill.
Porky Pig did it best!
Lucy & Ethel brought me here
Still the best!
17 years old and she already had that deep husky, smoky voice. What a singer!
After reading about Judy Garland's life (including the countless marriages and extramarital affairs she engaged in), all I can think of is that she was for the streets.
Kelly could not sing and their voices do not gel. Song is lousy too
Awesome tune. Johnny Mercer had the Midas Touch for a nice spell of hits.
I love this so much that I cry every time I listen to it.
Like so many of her songs this deserves at least a million views!
The live version she recorded for her TV show in 1964 is spectacular. It's fun to compare her vocals from nearly 2 decades apart.
Same old question can we give them a million views for this beautiful song!
atrapame si puedes
Judy Garland got destroyed by midgets. Poor thing
The lyrics are the true telling of England s cruel rule of beautiful Ireland
The gorgeous fabulous Judy Garland
Don’t know how as a little girl i found and fell in love with this song. I used to (at 5 years old) go into our living room get up on the hearth and perform for all my IMAGINARY fans lol. Why this song? Can’t tell you but i smiled from ear to ear when this post somehow made its way to me!
I thought this was created by Mickey and his friends... But this is great!
She seems like she was just a very sweet and pure woman, love you always Judy ❤❤❤❤
I so love you sweetheart ❤❤❤❤
😍😍😍
So hard
Why can't I share this via messaging?
The legendary adorable, beautiful Judy Garland and the very handsome Gene Kelly performed this classic song perfectly!
Judy Garland first originally recorded Somewhere Over the Rainbow for The Wizard of Oz in 1938 when she was just 15! Judy Garland was just 16 during the entire filming of the beloved, excellent, fantastic, magnificent, wonderful, 1939 MGM classic movie The Wizard of Oz, it is my all-time favorite movie with the perfect cast! Thank you for posting and sharing this beautiful Academy Award winning song that belongs only to Judy Garland!
Yummy !😊
Contrary to the description, I believe this was recorded on October 16, 1939, not 1940. With Victor Young's orchestra. (Decca DLA 1869). Young had just conducted Decca's album of songs from 'Wizard of Oz', so he was the musical bridge between Garland the kid and Garland the 'torchy' young woman.
Judy's singing voice sounds different in this song
Tucson Arizona over here
The “Golden Girls” brought me here.
