You couldn’t give away 70s and early 80s Fender and Gibson until about five years ago. Both companies made their worst guitars during this era. I started playing in 81, and i have an 85 of each, by then they had sorted all the cost cutting multi piece and (maple neck on a LP? WTF)

Tim Shaw PU's are way superior to 490 498T pickups. I have seen vintage sets going for 800 dollars recently. I'm surprised for a custom shop they didn't put better humbuckers in the 2023.

Great video and both guitars are fantastic. My only criticism is that for the comparison parts keep them shorter, it’s a lot easier to compare the tones when you only have to remember a short snipped of each. You could just do more comparisons but shorter if you wanted to play more on each. But other than that nice video
