My main guitar is a Warmoth Strat with stainless steel frets that I put together 15 years ago… After 15 years of heavy use I see no discernable fret wear. I’m pretty sure that those frets will outlast me… So, obviously there will be some miniscule wear, but you should never need a fret level.

Why do people say stainless frets never wear out? They absolutely do, sure they last longer than nickel silver but they do wear
