Have you seen the economy ? I definitely still have to choose which one to go with lol..... But i grew up with hyperstone heist because i had the sega genesis growing up... Didnt get an snes for quite some time after... The next systems came out and i prefer the sega version to this day.

My cousin's and I grew up loving the X-Men, the cards, the cartoons, the games way before the movies. However this caused more fights than Mortal Kombat playing it 2 player together. Still loved it, it's whatever. Gaming rule number one just like my brother, always blame the controller.

Umm no. It gets a lot of nostalgia points for the ability to ko Wayne Gretzky and it is one of the early NHL sponsored games. Those who know and like hockey say Mario lemieuix actually plays faster and would be more popular if it had an NHL license.

You are so right about the other two games being inferior. The Spider-Man and X-Men game was ok, despite that each characters level was just like a compilation of mini-games. I was never able to beat that game completely. The original X-Men game was cool, but not nearly as cool as Clone Wars, possibly the best side-scrolling X-Men game ever, only paling in comparison, IMHO, to the X-Men Arcade game, which I absolutely loved as a child.

It is much shorter than Super Metroid - about 5-6 hours of actual gameplay, where you spend 3 hours grinding for upgrades. The map is like one fifth of Super Metroid and the story was kinda predictible. I enjoyed it while it lasted, but it was way too short and artificially prolonged by absurd amounts of enemies.

Now this game is coming to the switch

The only change I've seen with newer NHL games is they've made them unnecessarily complicated with all the timed button combos and weak hits. That's just my opinion.

Damn, just gonna breeze past gambit like that? It was hard enough getting him on Deadpool lol. Nah Wolverine and Gambits my go to, then Nightcrawler. Gambits reach is further than cyclopes, in some cases reaching through walls. But also being able to shoot around the screen. His dash kick gets him across certain platforms. Although I will say I liked Cyclopes'. Used to spam his dash kicks kinda gliding your way down. Loved that game. And dope vid.

Do it have done tons of mods but I can't find a reason to spend $xxx.xx on an pixel FX or something. I got an adapter off aliexpress for 6$ shipped and imo it looks fantastic.

Yep, those controllers are garbage. The same thing happened to me when I tried showing my nephews how to play Sonic the hedgehog. I was so bad they made fun of me, and said I sucked. I was so agitated that afterwards that I went home busted out the system with a wired controller and played it start to finish to prove to myself that I still had it.

My favorite genesis game for sure

To me, this is the first sports game I could actually consider "good". A lot of sports/board games in video game format are known for soul-crushing AI, only controlling one guy at a time against a team of twelve unusually competent AIs, and unexplained rules. This one is actually pretty easy to understand, the controls are simple, and you'll find yourself in control at all times. This is hockey, not football. Let's also not forget that despite there being six teams, there are only three teams anyone cares about: USA, Canada, and Soviet Russia. I always go for Canada and its default team.

It is a great X-Men game, I always enjoyed playing it back in the day on Sega Genesis. Though it always picks a random X-Man (or woman) at the beginning, it was a stellar game at the time. And X-Men Legends 1&2 are fantastic also. I do miss the classic days of 16-bit gaming but, things do get revolutionized, as gaming consoles have. For the better.

So, i dont know how common this is because i never see anyone mention it, but if you dont press any button when the game starts. The tank won't kill any of the characters, and after a short time, the game will go to the title screen and then play a demo like most other games of the time. If you keep letting it happen, you'll go through like 5 different demos. It's a great opportunity to listen to the ballin theme of the game.

Damn…your Genesis collection kinda gave me an adamantium boner. 😂 BUT, I actually really liked the first X-Men game. I think it was because you could play as Gambit.

The eight bit version is better than the sixteen: both the Game Gear and Master System versions ARE OBJECTIVELY BETTER in terms of gameplay -not a matter of opinion. If you love the Genesis version, you'll love the 8 bit versions more.

The problem is that the arcade game was so much worse than the NES and Famicom versions. There should be a single ancient Latin term for whenever that happens. Give me ten years to work on it and I'll get back to you.

Fellow Devils fan here too👍Like many Jersey Hockey fans I used to like the flyers. After the Lindros Stevens thing i thought id always hate the devils. But then NBC-comcast bought the flyers. The woke fascism soon followed (getting rid of the kate smith statue, canceling Junior Flyer outings to Trump Golf courses, "pride nights". No more woke flyers for me. They can move for all i care now🙂

This game had a glitch. If you did a straight pass towards the goalie at Center Ice Emblem it would go right through the 5-hole of the goalie. It wouldnt work everytime but we had to ban it during games because it would happen so often. Great times😊

If you studied hockey by just playing NHL 94 you would think Jeremy Roenick is better that Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux combined😅 Great times😁
