We were so worried about having Murphy in the van as we’d never done it before. Frank our Frenchie was a van dog from day one of us getting our first campervan. Murphy loves being in the van. We lead trained him whilst we were in a house. That way he was used to it when we got him in the van. The second we pick up his harness he comes running 🤗. We have a space for Murphy in the van above where we sit and sleep so he’s got his own area and can get away from Frank lol. Thanks Stewart, we’ve just bought some new HT leads and a rotor arm. We replaced the HT leads, spark plugs and distributor cap last year. So just working through each part to see how we get on. I wonder if it’s worth us doing it all then we know where we are at. We really appreciate you taking the time to drop us a message. It really helps as we’ve been a little clueless 🤣. Haha, weirdly for a short video that we didn’t have a lot of time to put together this week it seems to be performing well. I guess it maybe the title 🤣🤗. We genuinely had gone out with a bang with the exhaust back firing and only just making it to our destination. One of the scariest drives on the motorway we’ve had so far. Thankfully she didn’t cut out on the motorway 🙏. I think if all goes to plan we’ll head to France first. Likely spring or autumn. Summer would be too hot we think. Kez melts here in the summer 🤣. We can’t wait to get over to France and eat some baguettes and cheese 🤗

@ Ye lives in France for a few years so I love it and yep it does get hot in the summer, I’m not a heat lover so I never go in the summer months, Feb, Mar and April I got to a little place called Montignac, nothing special but I love it…

I just googled montignac and it looks beautiful. So many places for us to get exploring once we’re over there. We’re also just as excited to go to a French supermarket and stock up on food 🤣. We’re simple people lol

@ I think there are about three places called Montignac, the one I go is called Montignac-Lascaux, which is right next to the Lascaux caves which is a world heritage site and a very very popular attraction, you know as many times as I go back to France and the years I live there still love going to a French supermarket, my favourite is Intermarché, which is like our Tesco’s if you like, a few good dog walks, great little towns very friendly and a really good Laundrette too…

Yep that’s the one I looked up Montignac-Lascaux. Next to the river. Yeah you can’t beat a French supermarket or the food in general. As I say a baguette, cheese and some meat is all I need 🤗. But we love seeing what you can buy in other supermarkets. We said it would be one of the first things we do going over to France 🙌

Mine was Glencoe in Scotland. I’ve got many more but that place just makes me feel something different being there. It’s hard to explain. I love all of Scotland to be honest. A new sight and adventure around each corner 🙌🤗

Thanks Sam, we’re going to do a service asap and replace a few bits. The issue we’ve faced looked like a faulty King Lead which has been replaced and she’s not making the same awful sounds. Turned out to be a King lead issue. It’s been replaced and looks to be working fine. Got a few jobs she needs doing to keep her tip top. One day we’ll be fully versed on how she works lol. Have an awesome New Year 🥳🎉

Looks like the AA has sorted it. We had a dodgy king lead. Which luckily they had a spare to get us going. We’ve got a few things to check and replace over time to keep the old girl going. Old Gertie keeps us on our toes for sure. Thanks for dropping us a message 🤗🤙🙌

@@TristandKez that's great news guys, I am sure the AA guy advised you to change all the HT leads to prevent further problems as they do suffer deterioration and resistance with age and heat. So pleased it was a simple fix. Hope the other issue will be as easy to repair, good old Gertie...

Yeah we’re going to get a new set of leads just to be sure. They got changed earlier this year but hey. Let’s do them again just to be sure. Gonna get a new rotor arm as that’s the only part of the distributor cap we didn’t change. Just think doing lots of little changes and fixes will help keep her going. We’ll get her serviced too. Thank you for dropping us an email too and the very kind offer of taking us through a few bits if we’re in the area. We really appreciate it. You’re the best 🙌🤗
