This video is completely different from the usual videos, as my family visited me in Japan for the first time! Fortunately, they did not have too many expectations, so I had free reign to design an itinerary that they would enjoy as first time visitors, and that I would enjoy as someone who has lived here for almost two years and done the "Golden Route" several times. Therefore, it ends up being a pretty unique itinerary with a good blend of both rural and urban Japan, and touristy and off the beaten path activities.
