@@Bohdan_HI-TECH kind of unbelievable, initially i hope they could rolling out a mainstream kernel and fully optimized system makes lxc performance at least in comparable to 10iii as a good reference for hardware adaption, but yeah, that's more of a dream at least for now😭

@ It should last all day. The battery is not as big as in C2, and there's also known issue with Sony binaries for Xperia 10 III and its energy efficiency, but in my experience there's no critical problem. Just make sure to check in AIDA that your battery health status is 'good'

@@andreass4165 Well, you'll see Sailfish OS is much more usable than any other mobile Linux distro 🙂 I also recommend using Situations app for automations (can schedule energy saving mode at night, for example) and disabling android app support when boot. Android app support is the biggest battery hog, if you enable it manually only when needed, you'll have much more battery life left

@@UlyssesZopol It's simple: Sailfish OS is not android 😁 Jolla developed a compatibility layer for android, which allows to run android apps, but it is completely optional to use. LineageOS is just an android fork, which does not allow to install Linux programs from CLI, for example. On the contrary, Sailfish OS is a fully independent mobile OS, it's not just android without google

@@BookWyrm114 Sailfish OS is partially open source. Jolla indeed has some proprietary components (like 'lipstick', which is home screen, UI, etc), but I think it's a good balance between business and openness

@@Bohdan_HI-TECH Fair enough, I think the main reason that I'm against using it is that it's also subscription-based, and though they do offer permanent licenses, plenty of companies have also offered permanent licenses and stopped honoring that eventually, and Sailfish could very well do the same, they might not and likely won't, but they could, and so I'd prefer an alternative that's open-source and not subscription-based. (Also I don't like the idea of a subscription-based OS in general, if they included good software exclusive to their OS that was subscription based, like a linux video editor for mobile, photos app with some advanced features, etc. I'd be fine with that, but I really don't like having the OS itself be subscription-based. As users will be forced to pay a subscription just for the latest updates and security patches, which I think is something you shouldn't have to pay for after you've already bought the device.) So overall I'll likely go with the FLX1, but if you don't mind that I suppose Sailfish is a good option, but it's not something I would personally use.

These are Urbanears Plattan 2 wired model, a very decent sound for the price, actually. I love them as they are somewhere in the middle between open-backed and closed-back type

@@kleuternul9310 As I said in the video, it depends. With microG installed the majority of android apps should work (Jolla C2 has pretty modern Android 13 compatibility, by the way), but there always will be some problem apps. In my case, banking apps work correctly (installed from Aurora Store). One government app lamented about sideloading, but it works when installed from Huawei AppGallery (Huawei doesn't require Google services for apps, so they are optimised to exclude them). Overall you have a decent apps choice, if you use all stores at once: Jolla Store, Storeman, Chum, F-Droid, Aurora Store and/or Huawei AppGallery. So it's not like it was in 2013, but it's not perfect, of course

ну это ж уже второй девайс от Jolla, первый был в 2016 если не ошибаюсь. Так что для поклонников этой ОС это просто обновление железа. Софт для первого девайса обновляется до сих пор.
