Those misaligned panels on the doors are bothering me more than anything else
Awesome job, I have 13a and c18 / wonder why did you choose naim over others ?
@@Kam87GT its not my setup, this is in a store in Leiden it was their choice for this setup.
@@verdiodh thanks for sharing/ what do you got ?
@@Kam87GT no problem. My own setup is not that big: Harbeth P3XD’s, SMSL AO300 (chifi but pretty ok) and an Argon TT turntable with a Ortofon 2M Red, wiring is Audioquest Slip 14/4, Supra Anniversary Phonocable, Supra powercable. I will buy a new streaming device asap.

I have one for 14 years and loving it! How much watts power is your amps driving it.
@@melllave6024 it is not my setup, this was at Final Audio. They used a McLaren amp but dont remember further details.
Finally one of these videos with a well treated space, fantastic
@@philipw7058 they specially built this room within a room and proper sound treatment. Alas this shop moved elsewhere, another audiostore is in this location.

How hot does this pure class A setup get? How much does it warm up the room? Thank you for posting, was great to have a listen!
I wish i knew, it isnt/wasnt my setup. This was a listening from the dutch distributor. You could ask them: Puur AVD
@@verdiodh Thank you for the reply :)
Should use higher cable lifters. That way, the sound would be more above the noise floor.
There is almost no sound
Wow! Awesome.
My only issue with ESL is the lack of attack. It doesn't really "slap". Rather it smooths out everything. That's great for classical, jazz, reggae etc But for rock, I still go back to my Klipsh's. The accuracy in reproducing grungy guitar sounds and metallic percussion is out of this world. With ML ESLs rock music is just too smooth.
Maybe your components are warmer than you thought, because from what I can tell, these speakers are very revealing and transparent.
where is this systom? dealer demo?
This is at the dutch distributor of Blumenhofer
Large and dynamic sound . I have MU2 on order waiting patiently.
Which song is this
I will have to ask, but i think its from a special LP from Rhapsody audiostore or used by them.
You can tell the quality even through UA-cam despite it being overall lost its SO GOOD
I will buy a pair of the current gen Blades before I die, I hope.
I hate those trick song ... just put real song that people know so you can actually hear the speaker
Well thats years too late for this reaction. I just had a short moment to record this system
@@verdiodh no worries it wasn’t anything against you but more that most time there’s demo video it’s always those audiophiles song that sound good on almost anything so it’s hard to actually judge a pair of speakers on them.
This sounds pretty amazing! Can you upload more videos with the Grimm MU2? Much appreciate it!
I will have to look if i have more of this setup. But this is one of my favourite systems i have listened to
@@verdiodh That would be awesome!

It seems like these are not good for vocals as the vocals sound recessed.
The vocals are fine
Love Dream Theater with my Revel M16 and M106 speakers. Dial in a pair of $700 M16's with a $500 sub, and you have a speaker rig that shoots well above its price point. Give Liquid Tension Experiment - "Osmosis" a spin. Upper mid-bass texture from Tony Levin's Chapman Stick runs in the opening minutes of the piece are amazing. The aluminum dome tweeters really bring out the detail and sparkle of Portnoy's cymbal work and Petrucci's guitar strings at the beginning of the piece as well. It's audiophile nirvana...
How do the M16s compare to the M106? I'm a little confused on the model numbers. Which is the best for the price? And is it fickle with amplification?
@@MadLadsAnonymous - The M16 is the best for the price - the M106 is $2,200/pair. $1,550/pair on sale. The M16 are $1000/pair, but can be found for $700/pair on sale. Both need a sub to really round out the sound. Add a decent sub, and they shine. I believe the M106 has a bit more detail and sparkle at the top end, but it's not abrasive or fatiguing. I can listen to either speaker for hours on end. Doesn't have the bass bloom of the M16 if you push it closer to the front wall - so it's definitely a bit more refined in that area. Both are smooth. If you pull the M16 out from the front wall, the bass bloom is fades, and the low-end tightens up quite a bit - though not as much as the M106. Both have an expansive sound stage - to the point, if placed in the room well, compared to where your sitting (give them a little room to breathe, so don't game in the up against the wall, or bury them in the corners) - and they sound stage exceeds the width of your room. Don't treat the first reflection point off the wall. The wave guide was designed to use the walls. If you have a hard surface floor, add a thick rug pad and rug between you and the speakers. You want a little reflectivity to keep the sound lively, though not the point of being an echo chamber. For our HT, I didn't need/want a center channel with either speaker. They just fill that front sound stage beautifully. ...as in, "cinematically expansive"... with crystal clear dialogue. The fit and finish on the M106 is much better than the M16 - but the M16 is a nice - especially in the white. The black M16 is just too bland. At $1,500 for a pair, the M106 is a steal - and they're on sale right now. $500 more then the M16. Spend the extra $500 and get the better speaker. ...add a decent sub. I have a $500 REL HT1003. It doesn't need much, but it really rounds out the bottom end. If you're on a budget, and $750 is the high-end of that budget, then the M16 is a phenomenal speaker.
@@craigjohnchronicles2504 Awesome. Will definitely look into these. I saw the specs list 6 Ohms and 86 dB sensitivity. I take it that means these aren't great for low volume listening? If not, I'll add them to the short list for HT set up.
@@MadLadsAnonymous - oh shit. I got so wrapped up waxing in about the sound quality. I have the M106 hooked up to my Anthem MRX 540 8K, and the M16 hooked up to a Denon x2600H. They’re hooked up to AVR’s, but I listen love doing long music listening sessions with these - mostly my M106 speaker now. So definitely not hard to drive. I listen to them at all volumes. My personal sweet spot is around -70 on the Denon, and +32-35 on the Anthem. But we’ve driven them at lower volumes many times. If you do a buy/return with Crutchfield to test them out for a month, you might not return them. They have a detailed sweetness to their sound. The midrange is just butter… they are not hollowed by any stretch. I feel like I’m at my endgame, and have no desire to go further up the ladder. Feels like the diminishing returns begins here.
@@craigjohnchronicles2504 Will look into the M106 on sale if I can :) I'm also a fan of the Dali sound (Oberon 3 or maybe convince the wife the Rubikore 2 is "necessary"). And the Dynaudio Evoke 20. But I've not heard a bad thing about the Revels you've mentioned. Thanks for the education, brother!

the bass on the Martin Logans is not precise, but it tends to overfill even when there is no need. When there would be a song with an even more pronounced bass, the bass on the Martin Logans will definitely go down. I am always of the 'idea that less bass is better if it is not good than an inaccurate bass.
I recently purchase kef reference5 and I’m having a hard time choosing an amp. the Michi x 5 or the mark levinson 5802. I understand there are way better Amps out there but since the company I work for only has these two brands for a great discount I’m limited to these two. Any comment would be gladly appreciated.
They sound great !
I heard these the other day at Magnolia and was totally blown away by them. I now own Revel Salon 2 speakers and thought they would be my last speakers, but these really do make me have second thoughts about that. Over 20 years ago, I owned a pair of Martin Logan speakers, forget about all the old generation Martin Logan speakers of the past, these and the 15A speakers are on an entirely different level. I didn't perceive the sound as being blown out of proportion, and I did hear fine detail and was able to hear individual instrument within the soundstage. Huge, full sounding soundstage, excellent bass, fine detail and transparency, great dynamics, fine natural tone, plenty of air and holographic effect, not to mention the superb integration between the different drivers, which, in the past, was always a draw-back in their overall performance. I strongly believe that I could actually live with these for the long haul. These are absolute word class speakers.
I had hope, but alas, the mic is too far back if your camera is any judge. Ears, and by extention, the mics are supposed to fall within the innermost 1/3 of the panel. There was a proper listening position recorded with a set of ML Odyssey's playing, up on youtube a few years back but it's gone missing...
I just record it from near the seat and for fun. I just want the system to be shown on the screen. But i havent recorded anything in a year. Thanks for the comment
Even that wont do them the justice they deserve. You have to hear them in person. I've got old school models that pale in comparison, but still... they are fun.
Buonasera a tutti.
What color are those Wilsons?
I dont know the actual colour but they are metallic blue
