My phone dialed 911 3 times in one day by my thigh accidentally pressing the power button 5 times. After explaining I was alright to the emergency operator and apologizing, I found the option on my Android to change the emergency SOS call from 911 to a phone number. I changed mine to my wife's number, much easier to explain. I finally bought a phone holder for my backpack to reduce the chance as well instead of carrying it next to my Johnson 😅. Maybe change your SOS number to your dad's?

With the ferry closing, could you walk across if needed? Is it very deep?

44:44 That stream crossing went a lot better then another UA-camr I watched a couple of years ago. Her mother was picking her up from that trailhead, so she was completely 100% out of supplies. When she got to that stream, it was a raging whitewater rapid. Like something you would see in the High Sierra. So she was stuck there, less then a mile away from her ride with no supplies, no service, and to top it off her SOS device was malfunctioning. Talk about tough luck.
