The Bureau, Glossop's Community wellbeing charity, seeks volunteer drivers and befrienders
The Bureau, on Henry Street in Glossop, works with the belief that all members of the community will have both support needs of their own and the capacity to support others at various times in their lives - in some cases simultaneously. They identify and link together community needs and solutions to enable people to live independently and improve the quality of life for local communities.
High Peak TV popped to Tesco to speak to Lucy Mallott, volunteer coordinator at The Bureau, who was there with a small team of volunteers, to promote their need for volunteer drivers and befrienders in the local area.
Lucy told us The Bureau doesn't just offer volunteering services, they also offer support to anyone who needs a helping hand.

Yes we definitely need a mental health centre and one for nerodiverse people or Autism centre. One other major issue is the hospitals being wasted and clogging up stepping hill or Macclesfield, which of both, we can't get to in the winter. Roads need resurfacing, vpuncils need to use their money much more wisely! And ask the people what they want/need for their town!
We have the same problems with housing, run down areas, community spaces, infrastructure issues, and council buying/selling off our historic places. Buxton.
