I apologize, I hope you only used this video as a guide, it is meant to only be a process video. thanks again! Hey guys welcome back! Here to show you how I ch...

Hey dudes and dudettes! I'll be showing you how I changed my Diff seal and the Diff oil on my truck. It's different from car to car but it should be a very similar process. Take this video as a guide! Oil I used in my differential is 80W-90 Castrol Axle Limited slip since my differential is actually an LSD! The Miatas first cruise after a year+ on jack stands!
Переглядів 854 роки тому
Met up at a parking lot with the rest of the people cruising to Salmon arm, pretty much did a mini car meet beforehand which I think was pretty chill, then I just went to cruise and stayed at the Salmon arm mall parking lot for about 20 mins then went home. Story: The Miata was on jack stands for the longest time, you can see that in the video she's still mismatched and primed/fiber glassed in ...

I just changed the fluid on my 1997 D21 with Redline MT-90. Worth it! ALWAYS USE GL-4 OIL IN A GEARBOX THAT REQUIRES GL-4. GL-5 will eat the syncros.
Are all 95 pickups same rear if 2wd
not all are the same. mine is the H233B specifically. check if you have an open or LSD
@piesgarage9351 how do I check mine also has a leak I gotta fix
A good thing to try is to clean the leak area with brake clean and shop towel or anything to wipe with then drive around, get a good lil highway action then inspect again to see if there's any sign of leaks/sweating around the seal.
You clearly saw that it was overfilled. Why didn’t you overfill it like your shifter and filling from the top? I hope that’s your truck.
thank you mate
Pies, I am doing the same wheel bearing grease packing on my D21 but how can one tell if the bearing seal was all the way down?
I got it with a rubber hammer as shown in this video.
Isn’t there a spec for how you reinstall the bearing retainer? You’d have to press it in “overtorqued” first, then give it a few rotations to seat everything, then back it off so you don’t axially load the bearings. But I can’t find the spec anywhere. Great vid. Thanks for all the other little tips.
pure bliss
Nice but i'm confused as to why the game looks like 1000 fps yet the 3rd person video is like 12 fps... Old capture card?
lol i just didnt know how to use OBS properly
Bro put the bering in backwards then skipped lol
Do you have a video or diagram on how you wired the ignition for push to start with no key? Thank you
Definitely don’t get thread lock! Then you won’t be able to do this every 3 years or whatever it is, also I read instead of the pump, you can just use a long hose and a funnel to save yourself the trouble, that works I hear, I may make another video for people like us. Thanks again bro!
Thanks for making this! I couldn’t locate the fill hole but was able to find it thanks to your video! Helped a lot! And I wasn’t sure how much oil to use. I have a 1997 hardbody, cool trucks! I’ve am had 2 now…first one lasted me 14 years!
Thanks a million. I thought I was stretching it with my 1997 PU. Why do they keep running?
Just get a long hose and run it through the engine compartment into the hole. Stick a funnel on the other end and stand up and pour.
Thanks
Hell yeah, finally a good DIY info video on this. Gonna refer to this video when I do my bearings on my ‘88 pathy and ‘02 xterra. Thanks man.
Whats the torque ft-lbs you used and whats the part number on the seal..i cant get to find this seal..i install a new 2 years ago and its leaking, due to the leak ruin my bearing..
Appreciate it man
Thank for video bro!¡
96 here,...What is it you put on the bolts before putting them back in?
He used Thread Sealant, he says everything you need in the beginning
My tack and coolant temp is also broken. not yet sure what is causing it, but will look into it to the next inspection
Would it be ok to run 75w90 Delo GL-4?
Is this the same procedure for the rear?
Thank you for the great video. AT 5:57 where the hub is connected back to the rotor, do you know the torque specfication on those six bolts?
49-69 N•m
It's there a way to simply check transmission oil beforehand? I see brake fluid, steering fluid and obviously the engine fluid, but no transmission 🤔
I filled my 1993 D21 with clear hose and gravity - push the clear hose down from the engine compartment, attach a funnel to the hose, then fill the funnel.
Was this a 2wd or 4x4
This was a 2wd right?
It's a 4wD
thats so funny my odo stopped at 202k
5 quart's you need
Keep at it man definitely helped out big time thank you!
Did it take all 4 qts?
Is this a v6 or 4cyl ? I have a v6 5spd and it seems like my drain plug isnt as high as yours is in this video ? ........
Tankyou for making this video is very important
I have a 92 but i remember removing the gear shifter inside to add the oil
That’s the correct way he knew it was overfilled because he removed the fill plug first and it drained for about 10 seconds yet he didn’t overfill it when he changed the oil hopefully that wasn’t a customers vehicle
Ummmmm……you have the front end jacked up only. The vehicle suppose to be level when you refill the gear oil.
Gravity is your best friend. Fill from above. Hello.
Hey do you have any videos on doing the valve cover on 3.0
Looking at this, I'm honestly thinking I should just replace my bearings while I'm replacing the rotors. Got the same truck (except in purple) so thank you for this vid!
Gotta make sure I'm on the same page now. I see you only replaced one bearing. I have two bearingsin the hub on the inside and outside of the axel. Did someone before me mess up or is your editing cut that out?
They are also available in stock Jeep sizes that many other top rated tires are not. Really surprised they are not at the top of more tire reviews.
My nissan d21 has 260k and I decided to drain the Trans (manual 5 speed) and all I got was a quart of ATF, not good! All I have is a bucket of straight 140 gear oil so I put that in it and it shifts nicely, I think after that many miles it deserves the thicker oil anyway.
Is yours a 4cyl or v6 ? I have a v6 and it seems like my fill plug isnt as high up as the one in this video.
@@jonathanhankins790 Mines the 2.4L straight 4 it prob is a different trans. Any oil is better than none though thats all I can say.
@@ColinCearley27 hows it holding up i found some 140 gear oil at oreilts for $20 instead of $90 for 4 quarts of gl4 online
@@mevin2002 shifts like butter
Awesome video buddy. I have a 1990 nissan d21 and i am from canada too. Sask to be exact
Now do the rears in 10 minutes.....
Damn that's all? I'll have to rock this out. Thanks for this video!
Nice racing. Very cool!
I've got a 97 d21... Please advice... When do I know I need to change the oil, and there any area on the car where I can check the oil level or amount of oil thats in the trans... PLEASE HELP
Change it every 3 years buy redline mt90.there is a fill check hole on the side of the tranny some years it's a square nut or a 1/2 inch plug. It's better fill from the gear shifter plate. It takes about 2.5 quarts 80w90 or 75w90 GL4 gear oil Only!!!!!!!!!!!!
But a repair manual, it will help with a lot of simple repairs. Pays for itself in it first use.
Thank you....@@leonmichael576
Is this micheal cera
bro thank you so much for posting this video, by far the most in depth video for this truck 🤙🤙
No bearing preset? Wtf. Didn't even tighten center lock nut
Whats the lock nut tourque spec.?
Nice dnf. Very cool!
