Reel Cast Charters
United States
Приєднався 22 бер 2014
Reel Cast Charters is a Connecticut-based fishing guide service specializing in the waters of Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound. Our guide service is unique in the fact that we do much of our fishing in shallow water with light tackle. Reel Cast Charters has carved a niche in Northeast sport fishing, providing an experience to anglers like no other by doing most of our fishing under the cover of darkness for trophy-sized striped bass with spinning gear. There is no trolling, no deep water and no oversized conventional reels-our clients cast live eels and artificial lures tight to rocky shorelines where big fish hunt after dark.

I install two Dakota Lithium 135 amp hour house batteries in my Conch 27 boat. I am replacing the lead acid batteries and adding a Victron DC to DC converter to protect the alternator. Per the outboard manufactures warranty I am leaving the lead acid starting battery.

How to tie a Loop Knot for Fishing
Переглядів 184Рік тому
Quick, strong and easy way to tie a loop knot (non slip loop knot) This is a great knot for tying on lures and flies to allow the lure to swing freely and not be bound down by the knot.

i can read the brochure. do a real review. break something or catch something with it.
Great video. What type of swivel do you use for these applications?
How you like it so far
What ratio is the tranx?
Do you have trouble keeping the spoon down on a fast drift
Great, but i couldn't see the buttons you're using which is the main thing i need to know
I have an Ulterra on my Ranger I’ll never own another one ! It’s ruined 2 trips so far by doing what they’re known for and that’s not deploying or stowing. My friend just got done taking his to the service center 3 times and it’s the Quest version. They’re wonderful when they work but totally screw you when they don’t. Never again 👍
Sick center console man!
Awesome boat. If you dont mind me asking how much does a bare hull run?
To many moving parts to many problems
Thank you for video! Can't wait to get mine out on the water next week, just finished the installation!
That’s great but they discontinued one of the best striper lures ever made. Lost the only two I had on 30 lb braid
Wouldn’t want anyone stealing your spot, good blur on the chartplotter
Amp. And amp hours. Different.
What State was this ?
How long do the 3 batteries last?
They last me a full 10 hour day on the water and I still have power left at the end of the day.
Great demo. Thanks!
To bad that it weighs over a hundred pounds. That's gonna suck on smaller boats.
It's a big boat trolling motor, there is the ulterra and terrova for smaller vessels
Have you ever tried just a treble in the belly slot and left off the rear hook? I’m wondering how that would affect the action of the JM?
Yes I have tried it. The rear single inline with the treble hook on the belly has been the best hook up percentage.
Nice rundown, thanks for posting.
Don’t buy one! When they work it’s nice. But always issues. Again in for repairs now. 3 years old and 900.00 in repairs plus ? This time.
Where’d you get the little holder for your trolling motor remote? Or, what is that holder?
Totally agree on t-top size vs casting! No idea why so many t-tops are too big.
woah you must be a pro rigger. Nice job and boat.
We know better than to mow the part when it’s moving, it would help if you showed buttons your mashing on the remote to do the work. Thank you.
Is the trinidad 14a available as a left hand crank?
No, the Tranx 401 is available in left had retrieve
Best line, even a Jon boat runs well in calm seas…
Good stuff 👍👍
I would drop the parallel connection and have each battery to a busbar then pull from that busbar for inverters etc... It's proven your batteries will last longer as every amp doesn't go through each battery so 1/2 the work with 2 and 1/4 with 4.
Great video! Did you keep the existing plug in battery charger when your at the dock?
Yes it is the Minn Kotta Precision charger that is made for both lithium and traditional batteries. It works great.
whats a better rod, this one or the Teramar in the same specs? (you also reviewed)
Great video thank you bro
If you make a living fishing tournaments and such, then yes it might be worth it. If you're a weekend angler out with the family, I highly doubt it. Imo the industry is pricing itself out of reach for those, who have kept it alive for generations. The working men and women simply trying to send some quality time with their families.
The Reel Seat has now made a legal circle hook snag &drop rig. Well, legal here in NJ anyway.
Good video except for all the moving/jerking movement of the camera.
Love Albie Snax! sup Mike!
Cool tip🎉
Got to be the most exciting lure I’ve ever used!
Does it have GPS?
It does.
Two years later this motor is going strong ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBZWgzfpS2Jj7JqIHyaSZjyVHNUgCKCBf Just uploaded a video of it after 2 years. We use it probably a dozen days each year on our small raft.-original review- We got this motor the other day and tested it out. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems good to me. It has all the features advertised - the motor housing is metal. We will see how it performs longer term and I will revise this review if needed. Some initial observations:- Good thrust, moves our boat around really well- It comes with a circuit breaker but no switch - so there's no way to kill the motor other than yanking the connection off the battery. I installed an inline switch.- The mount bracket is plastic and I worry it might break- There are a number of plastic parts that I worry about, but the most important ones are metal or some kind of composite
Upgraded from my 30# MK that maxed out at 3mph. This pushes my pelican pwr 100 at 4.5mph which is nuts since the pwr is a slow yak
Why doesn't G Loomis list the Lure Rating for these rods on their website?
They used to at some point. The 2 powered rods had a max of 1.5 oz or about 45 grams. The 3 powered rods maxed out at 2 oz or 60 grams. The 4 powered at 3 or so oz.
Tactical clip or direct tie to those Owner hooks?
How to use the trolling motor? How about showing us the remote buttons you are hitting? Why not walk through all the buttons and show us what they do? Not helpful.
It would be really neat to do a side-by-side comparison between the IMX-pro blue rod and the Teramar NE XX 70 MH. I am really torn between these two lol
Good idea. I was in the same spot and went with the imx. Hbu you??
@@robe997 I have one of each lol, found used. I am leaning toward Teramar XX though (lighter in hand IMO). Both paired with Penn Spinfisher VI 4500s and balanced out well, actually can't see putting a much heavier reel on....but that is just personal preference.
Subbed
Given the condition of the seas, they are real nasty. Your the only boat out there and appear quite calm in those conditions which tells me you have 100% faith in the Conch build quality. A real tight, strongly built boat. About time there was a real world test drive of a 27 footer in a snot soup ocean. Cudos to you bro!!!
Thanks!
Mike and Andrew thank you so much for this video. You have further opened up my eyes about what I can do with my new Humminbird Solix. And I have been studying a lot of HB videos all last winter!
If I've only got a rod for 1-3oz and a 3500 spinning reel with 30lb braid with 50lb leader, what size doc style lure you recommend? I've got a 9" doc at 3.5 oz I think but bought a 10ft rod to handle 1-5 oz I think or 1-4 oz lures and never fished large lures in my life like this. So what can you suggest? Budget won't allow me to buy anything new and that 10ft rod has a 6000 penn battle with 50lb braid and 50lb leader for that specific lure and larger metals.
Try using the smaller spooks like the 7 inch version or the Shimano Hi-Pitch walk catches like crazy and is 1 1/8 ounces and just over 5 inches long.
what's the reel with left hand retrieve?
Shimano Tranx 301hg or 401hg, the “1” means it’s a lefty and the hg is the high gear with the power handle
