I have a 2012 PX1 Ranger with a 2.2l Duratorq diesel in it. It’s a very strong engine. I always wanted one of the old American rangers either the Perkins in it though. Don’t know how I’d get one of those over here to Australia.
Great music the lovely gal on the fiddle is awesome and he's a good guitar player too !
Who is the fiddler? She is awesome.
Can't see most of what you were doing.
I’m looking at Les Andrews’ mechanic handbook. He shows two bushings. Why didn’t you replace both?
That guy cant swing a hammer to save his life.
Hello, I just found your channel. Looks like good stuff. Thank you
You might have to retap the castle nut. Do not pound on a castle nut
Should be call wait till i finish putting it together start
Nice job Randall. That's an impressive machine. I have managed to cut a flathead head on my relatively small milling machine. I have to make multiple passes, though as it does not have the capacity of that big old machine you have. All the best, Mart.
Thanks Mart it's slow but does a good job
Nice job, Randall. It takes a good long lathe to do these. The A axles are easier to swing than the 40 type due to the length of the perches. Nice to see a machining video with early Ford content. What type of tip was on that first tool? It has to be good to get through the hardening. Well done all round. Mart.
thanks Mart , it's a brazed on carbide I picked uo somewhere , donn't remember where I got it,I will look and see if it has a make and number
I've heard that Ford used babbits but I didn't know what they were, I can see now that a lack of oil could really mess things up, Thanks for the video.
We tour Hegins Pennsylvania farm land and mountains with our 15 Touring. The Amish kids love seeing Model T and A passing by their properties. We love touring in October when the leaves are falling. We'd love touring the Smokies for sure. Thanks for the video!
Where did you find your pickup because I’m looking for one and can’t find any
I've seen several videos installing the Mitchell overdrive. When you remove the rear-end, that seems like the idéal time to remove and restire everything onthat rear axel. Your all over it! Ya got'r done.😊
What a great car! Just maintain the mechanical aspects. Repair as needed and keep the rest original. Enjoy the hell out of it!😊
Ok so you are removing shims and not adding. I’m so confused on this part of the engine .
@@darrinwi yes remove shims to make the bearings tighter,
I'm asking this question out of shear ignorance. After a block is no longer servicable, is it junk? Could it be used for anything, or is it dumpster bound? Thanks! Interesting video. 😊
scrap metal unless you want to sleeve it back to standard
Thanks glad it helped
Great video!!! Very helpful. I’ve searched high and low for information on how to replace the rear main seal only to find out that the Model A doesn’t even real rear main seal per se . Now I know what direction to go. 👍👍👍👍👍
This helped a lot thanks for making this
I hope their air bags are working, 'cause they're running pretty fast in those old lizzies. And I gotta say it: those are some real pretty legs on that fiddler!
Thanks a huge bunch my friend. I just went through the very same ordeal. I was stumped but your video pulled me out of it.👍👍👍
Where can I get a oil filter system for My 30 A.
most all the model a venders has them,I get mine from Synders
Outstanding musicianship. 👍
😛
I've listened to this several times. She has some very tasty bow work here that I've not heard before. This is just outstanding.
The person from the MS, are you from Nita Yuma?
Great video, you are a expert mechanic on the MODEL A FORD, I have a 1931 TUDOR, I have been trying to get it running, I have installed rebuild Zenith Carburetor, new points, condenser, plugs, set timing, I have fire from coil, points are firing, fresh gas, the car just won't start, it's turns over fine, it just like trying to start with switch off, I've owned this car for 19 years, it's only been a few months since it was running, any advice would be appreciated, also what are thoughts on Electronic Ignition on a MODEL A, enjoy all your videos, THANKS.
I’m not big on the electronic ignition, I still use points, if you pull coil wire out of dist. And spin it over do you have a blue spark?
I would also check the connection at the amp meter if they’re loose it will cause problems with starting
I would also disconnect gas line at carb and see if you have a full stream of gas flowing
And to eliminate a problem with carb squirt a little gas in the opening of carb and then try to start
@@randallstrickland8204 I will be working on it again this week, everything you mentioned I've done except for ammeter, good spark at coil and points, steady gas flow, I'll check the ammeter and let you know what I find, THANKS.
Hello there- Thank you for posting this, there aren’t many videos showing this process. Do you happen to know the part number on that reamer so I can better my search?
She's unique as it gets!❤ Naturally talented--
I got a book from the library titled - Eric Claptons guitar . It was a non fiction featuring Wayne Henderson during a build and commissioned guitar gift for Eric Clapton . It was more like a daily routine of Wayne's days while constructing a Dreadnought guitar for Clapton and then Wayne delivering it to Clapton. Interesting book . That was back about 2002 I believe.
Yes I have that book also my son was working with Gerald Anderson at that time learning to build and was there when book was being written
What a talent!
Impressive! These were sold mostly in Mexico. In person, I've only seen one in the US in my life. I actually never knew the engines were from Perkins. Yours looks to be in really nice condition. 👍

May I add.............SHE.........is beautiful!!
I always wondered how that works, thank you!
I absolutely love it. 🥰
This is brilliant. I was looking at doing this on my TA14 but this looks much better. I have all the Kwik Way tools to do it. What is the part number of the shell end mill and do you use the same one for A and B? It looks like you had to modify it in the gap under the cap.
Loved that bird.
Bet that AC unit blows fuses trying to keep the temp down on the hot pickin’ and playing in the workshop! Fantastic!😊
I’m in love 🥰
Beautiful and talented - not you Wayne. Cheers from the Mississippi Delta
85-140 gear oil
What type of oil/weight did you use in the steering box?
👌👌😊
Awesome video! Thanks Randall.😊
Another great model a video, think a for keeping on
As a fellow Strickland, I enjoyed your video. If you hadn't identified the location, I could have believed it was here in North Alabama.
Beautiful view. and great tour
