    Go ahead and attack me if you'd like but others have commented on your lighting situation and you give them pass. others have commented that you didn't really need to take the door panel off, They also get a pass for their criticism. all I was saying is your video is unwatchable with the lighting situation, and I really needed to watch it.

    Hi, may I ask? I have such a problem when I enter With Automatic weights, it jumps into loading and then blender doesn't respond.. I have an object made of several pieces, could that be it? Should the graphics card handle it? I have a 7900xtx 24Gb Thanks

    Thanks for the video! I'm learning 3D modeling coming from a programming background and knew there * must * be a way to do this. The reason you need to select non-color is because normal maps are not color data - the color values are meant to tell what direction and intensity light should show on that vertex, not what color it should be. Reading it as an sRGB map means you are adding the color values as literal color instead of values for light.

    so I tried changing the Roll value for the hand IK in edit mode, under N - Item - Transform to 180 for left hand and -180 for right hand. And now both arms work in the way that they both move into the hips symmetrically and out to his sides symmetrically BUT now instead one of the arms is twisted ( thumb facing backwards) WTH ^^ freakin blender maan :D

    • @klh_io
      @klh_io 2 місяці тому

      You probably already solved it, but in my case had to set the pole angle under IK constraint settings of both forearms to -90 and 90 to account for the flip on the right arm.

    Such a relaxed yet informative tutorial. This isn't my thing, but I wanted to understand a bit more about where these images came from, and how they are made. You have shed so much light on it, and without constantly zooming and rotating your blender POV - only moving when necessary. Truly excellent . Thank you.

    I'm having issues with hair particles. My children hair are far more spread out that the parent hair and often doesn't follow when modeling in tight places and looks horrendous even if settings are tweaked. Any advice?

    • @zyzzxander
      @zyzzxander 10 місяців тому

      This probably isn't the advice you want, but I'd recommend moving to the new, Geometry-nodes based hair system. It's much more powerful and easier after about 30 minutes of getting to know it.

    YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL. I just replaced mine on my 2018 M3 and once you get the access door off the switch is right there. A few tips: The plug on the switch itself is weird - there is a center tab but it does not push in easily. I got a thin flat head and wedged it in just under that tab and the plug pulled right out. it is helpful if the emergency open leaver is pulled up. A small screwdriver wedged in the gap after it is lifted will hold it up. There is very little clearance on the far side of the switch to get to the tabs that hold it in place. The near side there is much more space. If you use a thin flat head on the near side and release the two tabs (put some downward pressure on the switch) - the switch comes loose and just firmly push and the 2 tabs on the far side will release. Overall it took me about 15-20 minutes to replace the switch!

    Was the replacement switch cluster the same as the oOEM (guessing it is OEM) but I mean are the replacement switches backlit like the original ones? My 2018 Model 3 drivers side window will go down all the way when I push down but in the upward auto mode, it no longer will. The drivers side switch stays slightly higher when I try upward auto than the switch next to it. It will go up if I hold it up but I don't like things not working. Too confusing to do myself. I think I will schedule an appointment for hopefully mobile Tesla service to fix and replace.
