The rattling resolution... Long story short, I got 2 different diagnoses. One Nissan Infiniti specialist said that it was the high pressure fuel pump causing the camshaft timing chains to rattle and tick. He suggested a new engine. Probably around $11k for replacement. Infiniti said it was the timing chain and sprockets. Replacement chains, sprockets, guides, and while they were doing that, they would suggest a new water pump. Total would be around $8k. We took it to another Asian auto specialist which said the same as Infiniti. Their cost was $6k with a 6 month warranty. We opted for this one, but the parts were on backorder indefinitely and Nissan could not give them an expected delivery date after a month of waiting. We wound up letting it go...🍻

That, to me, is the real gangster mobile. I never could look at a man under 30 as gangster because when you're in the room with mature men acting really strange ,then it clicks. You didn't need to be told you're surrounded by gangster's in the 70s. They always showed up in a car like that one. I was a kid, and that impression is stuck in my mind forever. I featured the gangsters because of what Grandma told me. Grandma had a 69 Lincoln, and she was very careful not to give the wrong impression. I watched those cars get shot up on the news and was terrified to ride with Grandma.

Wow! That's a great idea to put that Godzilla engine into a pre-catalyst Lincoln. Nobody can complain about emission standards. What a great project! All the 7.3L projects I've seen with these great engines have been race cars and trucks. Which begs a question. How are these in land yachts? Thanks for finding out for us! I just commented on one of your other videos, but i may double check to see my sensors are clocked correctly while im at it. I dont fail calibration, but i always have 1 side front that doesnt go to the correct height and causes errors. To find your mid way point i assume you just took a measurement to your fender aired out and max height then manually aired it to half way before jacking the car up to check where your sensor sat?

Interesting, I've been chasing the same issue but it's my fronts that are doing it. I might have to unplug the sensors one at a time tomorrow and see if that's the cause of my issue

Okay guys I was on another channel ua-cam.com/users/shortswYLtG-tT8sQ?feature=shared and his mechanic found the rattle in the bearing of the cooling fan (replaced problem solved by replacing cooling fan) right in front of the timing chain cover, hence sounding like a timing chain or camshaft issue. Here you take a listen, This is exactly the sound my QX60 is making. Remove the air conditioner and ALL the smog stuff. It's easier to work on. Will run better. Sounds like you got a timing problem. Check your distributor and your timing mark and throw some sea foam in it.
