Oh my heavens y'all have THE BEST videos EVER. Gawsh, I was just thinking what a great Bible study book that could be put together using your videos and then playing each one for that week's lesson with it. I was listening to Pastor Rick Warren the other day and while talking about taking thoughts captive he said this: "I CANT CONTROL WHAT GETS MY ATTENTION, BUT I CAN CONTROL WHAT KEEPS MY ATTENTION" - Rick Warren I just wanted to share bc of how wonderfully and thoroughly you broke down temptation and how to resolve the issue. Many preachers/teachers/leaders guide us in what not to do, but not in "what TO DO." What a terrific set up this lesson is. Thank you for such a great program and great leadership!!! I LOOOOVE the proactive approach to combating temptation as well as other spiritual attacks!!!! ❤🙏🏻🙌🏾 - Pamela Mettler
Thank you for your kind words, Pamela! How encouraging that God lined up these lessons for you in your own personal journey! We love to hear it 💙 What a great quote from Rick Warren!
@@davidsmither95 Accountability with God is a given! That's why we made Step 1 the practice of talking to God about your temptations. Having Christian friends and mentors to help you on your spiritual journey is also a biblical concept (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; Proverbs 27:17).

I have a question, should Christian’s that are convicted from watching horror movies respect other Christian’s like me that like horror movies like Netflix horror movie called the deliverance and even if the director is lgbt. I wanna ask cause I seen and liked the movie and the lead actress is a Christian that made one of my favorite from Ben hur remake (2016) but I know that Christian’s are divided over the movie on social media like Christian UA-camrs. I also know that there is legalism against horror movies and the horror genre is involved because it’s getting close to Halloween as well and that these conversations can turn ugly. There are also a lot of Christian UA-camrs that are telling Christian’s that they can’t watch horror movies because it opens up “demonic portals or doors” when the Bible never mentions anything about portals even in 1 Samuel 8.
The movies we choose are all a matter of personal conviction and spiritual discernment (Romans 14). We ought to make personal choices in accordance to guidance from the Holy Spirit, what we know are our "triggers," how our choices might affect our relationship with God and others, etc. You are so right that there are a lot of "Christians" out there, shouting into the void about this movie or that movie and what is evil and what is not. This is a pointless endeavor as it only creates fear, shame, and anxiety. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide you (Romans 8:5). If you are truly filtering your actions and decisions through the lens of loving God and loving others (Matthew 22:36-40), then sin becomes much less of a "worry." The person who lives under God's grace and trusts Him is unlikely to get trapped by sinful tendencies--no matter what movies they choose to watch.
@@412teens I have another question cause it involves deliverance ministries…I know that deliverance is biblical and not deliverance ministries…do Christian’s in deliverance ministry have to cast out demons especially over horror movies or the horror genre and from past sins ? I do believe that true deliverance comes from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ thru the Holy Spirit and not from deliverance ministries and I also wanna ask is it ok not to follow deliverance ministries since they say that all Christian’s can cast out demons and not only that but some of them are UA-camrs that are in the deliverance ministries that believe in the marine kingdom and the whole open doors to demons or open portal to demons when none of it is mentioned in the Bible. I seen deliverance ministers tell Christian’s not to watch the Netflix movie the deliverance on social media especially a lot on Facebook and UA-cam and I really gotten frustrated over the whole deliverance ministers a few days ago over stuff like that and I was trying to remain calm but I wasn’t calm at all. I spoke about the problems in deliverance ministries because they are not biblical at all and that they were telling other Christian’s not to watch the Netflix horror movie the deliverance Do all Christian’s have the authority to cast out demons and are all Christian’s called upon to cast out demons? I wanted to ask cause some deliverance ministers do believe that all Christians can cast out demons but the Bible doesn’t say that all Christian’s can cast out demons.
@@412teensI have one more question. I have already seen the Netflix horror movie the deliverance when it came out on august 30 and I finished the last 20 minutes after I saw Deadpool and wolverine on august 31st. Is it ok not be frustrated about other Christian’s especially deliverance ministers opinion on the movie if I already seen the movie and liked it since they are telling other Christian’s not to watch it because I was very frustrated about thier opinion because i already seen the movie and some deliverance ministers on UA-cam were calling on Christians like me that seen the movie to repent when i liked the movie and I didn’t feel convicted from watching the movie I really like religious horror movies cause it’s my subgenre under horror and to me the Netflix movie the deliverance is a R rated faith based horror thriller based on true events. Some Christians were also doing the same thing with the movie Deadpool and wolverine on social media including tik tok over a scene in a movie where wolverine was hanging from the X sign when it’s comic book reference to an uncanny x men comic cover from the 1989.

You do not have listen to or take the "advice" or suggestions from any content creator if it doesn't align with the Holy Spirit's work in your life. Second, in regards to "deliverance ministries," there is certainly quite a bit in Scripture about Satan and his horde of demons. There is little said about deliverance from them, and nothing said about deliverance as a “ministry.” The offices of the church are found in Ephesians 4:11. First were the apostles and prophets, the foundation of the church-with Jesus being the Chief Cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). Next are listed evangelists, then pastors, and teachers. The ability to cast out demons is not listed as a spiritual gift or a ministerial duty. Third, the key to victory in the Christian life is to be filled (controlled and empowered) with the Holy Spirit on a moment-by-moment basis (Ephesians 5:18). The Father knows who are His: “Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God” (Romans 8:14). The Holy Spirit will not indwell anyone who is not born again (John 3:3-8; 2 Timothy 2:19; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 3:16), so the first step in spiritual victory is to place our faith in Jesus Christ. Then, rejoice that Jesus is in you and you have His power and His victory.
