A bit (way) too late, but I had the idea of taking a page from Sauron's book and have the Dark Master appear as a charming charismatic leader? You could even have him play the role of an understanding father who reprimands an unruly child to Cynder? Of course, it's all fake, but this would give him a very stronge manipulative and abusive edge while being more subtle than what we had. Heck, when he possesses Cynder again, Malefor could drop the act and go back to 'visible darkness mode', with his as of then normal voice becoming distorted (although not as much as you'd need subtitles). Sure, it could bring him closer to LotR's sauron, but it would fit him imo. Lastly, his motivations. I feel like Malefor is doing all of this knowing that it will bring untold ruin. But it is his destiny. The purple dragon has to bring in a new age, and that is what he wants to do, regardless of how many eggs he has to crush to make an omelette. Fate is inescapable to Malefor's pov, so why would he question himself? He is the Chosen One! Spyro and him are destined to 'change things', as in 'wipe the slate clean'... It could make for a good opposition between Malefor and Spyro, as in Spyro would be what he could have been and Malefor is what Spyro almost became. Anyway, I thouroughly enjoyed this series, even if you didn't go as in-depth as with the other two games. Good lick for future projects, and _stay safe Loreteller._ ;)

Man, I can just picture that final ending shot with Cynder leaving her shackewelry behind Some real Megaman 2 imagery but more contextually emotional This was an awesome community project, I only wish I could've been more part of it! But that's on me for missing out!! Oh, and it is pronounced [roo-z-mah], haha! (I cannot escape Ramza Final Fantasy Tactics!!!)

It is actually a dark backstory for cynder, but being a game made for us when we were younfer, they only touched it

Personally, if I were given the option to remake/remaster TLOS, I would go down the Destroy All Humans route. Leave the story as is, but modernize the graphics and gameplay mechanics. Make no mistake, all three games’ controls are rock solid and the graphics are serviceable. But they are a product of their time and are showing their age.

A distant WALL-hahaha, good stuff. Everyone's contributions were great, and there's always more to add. Like, I'm now thinking of how the crystals in this world needed more emphasis and explanation. Aren't they the residual spirit power of ancestor dragons or something? Malefor's dark crystals? Spyro's time crystal?In DotD the planet's core seems to be made of crystal as well, whereupon ancient spirits emerge and take a confused Malefor ( who was just as confused as I was)... inside the core? I wish the game explained that better. Ignoring my tangent, this was a fun reimagining of these underrated gems. I'm glad there are still some that care about this version of Spyro.

If it’s ok, personally I feel like the end of the catacombs level has to be change where Hunter does something to help Spyro because arguably he wouldn’t have survived that situation Tbf and honest ( with evidence throughout the trilogy) like a great suggestion is have Hunter shoot the golem in the eye again otherwise it wouldn’t have ever let go of Cynder due to its size strength and mass. Which yes Spyro wouldn’t have been able to survive that. ( the fail in that is the more logical outcome which I can support that claim if given the opportunity) so Hunter doing something as Spyro is barely or nearly being pulled off the ground , and the arrow in the eye again makes it let go of Cynder. And maybe have a funny line from Spyro like “ phew that could have ended badly “ or something as he comforts Cynder, who is in terror and shock at a near death. ( would make it more emotional and would essentially remove the arguable poor writing via (plot armor) in that scene) just my opinion and possibly suggestion. XD. Hope people liked my thoughts and I did try to make it sweet in the end 😊.

Think one of my fav things about a reignited legend is how passionte the community is about it. So many ideas from so many people. And you were able to make this series of videos taking not only your ideas for a reignited legend but other peoples ideas as well and compile them into a series of videos. Ty LoTD.

I'm happy we got here, I'm sad it's over, but I'm happy This series deserved more than what it got and it got royally shafted by time constraints and budget constraints I'll never forget this series, I'll take my love for it to my grave with the unpopular opinion that it should be remade Call me Pyra because I'll die on this hill

I first encountered this book series via someone’s review of the first book, how is it for kids, it sounded like someone saw samurai Jack season 5 and said not dark enough, then tried to out do it, the result was me becoming traumatized by the review as an adult and me being unable to see the series as normal.

It's probably a good thing that Cynder has yet to make an appearance. With the way things have been going recently, they'd probably change her from owning up to her fuck ups and working to help fix things, and instead have her deny and deflect the whole game, and expecting everyone to just do a complete 180 and welcome her in, no questions asked.

The ancient grove has ost that can be translated line about how the grove filled with corruption and hatred for dragons Mainly because of the war that dragons started how damaged the grove

Just starting arc 3 now, reading Lost Continent as this was uploaded! I'd like to point out that the hybrid thing was wrong, there ARE a few characters who are hybrids between tribes. Sunny is a Sandwing/Nightwing hybrid, Darkstalker is a Nightwing/Icewing hybrid, and there's even a once OC turned guest character name Typhoon who's a Seawing/Icewing hybrid. Interesting thing to note too, the hybrid's main race seems to be from the mother, as Sunny's was a Sandwing and Darkstalker's was a Nightwing. They mostly inherit secondary traits from the father, with Sunny having no stinger and eyes that aren't pitchblack like most Sandwings are.

I'm surprised Legend of Spyro didn't become a TV series

Idea: purple dragons of ages past are relevant in some way (memory missions, mentions in the lore, some aspect of them from the past coming to the surfce now, etc.)

I like to imagine cynder is well once was a wind dragon and she wasn’t intended to be in the war like maybe ignitaus gave his words to her citizen parents that she will be safe only for him to not able to keep his promise like a parental gut feeling that something bad was going to happen and it ended being true. I like to imagine cynder finding her parents and she learned of her birth element but is never able to recover because of alfoys magic. While she never stays with her parents she does visit them when everyone has recovered as she is Spyros mate. 🤔 but that’s my idea.

Perhaps the idea of aether used under influence of either love or hate? In the second legend of spyro game, spyro was hit by a beam of aether, but i think it would have made more sense if it came from himself, from the hate that he felt. I hope I'm making sense... Edit: What i mean exactly is that there is no dark Spyro or Cynder, but instead it's them feeling hate, and expressing this hate through Aether, using it to destroy. The idea could even be extended with Malephor - at the end of the original DotD game he could use Aether to take control of Cynder and try to make her attack Spyro. Thus dark aether would only be directed at somebody you hate, and as such Spyro would never attack Cynder, and vice versa, unless they were being controlled.
