As I got older it was seen that if you were a single man without kids you were a loser and wasn't wanted enough by women that they want to have your kids and that was how you got value but now at 35 and seeing the stress those guys with kids have to go through I'm the one that's laughing now at having my freedom to do as I please being child free.

Childfree here. Made my choice at 17. I like kids, just didn't want the responsibility or expense. Now at 63 - no regrets. A lot of people my age are financially helping their adult kids or raising grand kids.

I’m conditionally child free. I love kids enough to be mindful of who I choose to father them. I’m happy without kids, and if I had kids I’d be happy WITH them . Life is what you make it. You’ve gotta do the best with what you have. I don’t judge parents unless they’re putting their kids in danger.

My mom was abusive and treated my dad like garbage. She weaponized his children against him. I don't want to end up with the wrong woman who does the same thing to me.

Make sure you don't end up accidentally getting pregnant. I've known a lot of gals who have said they don't want kids and end up having kids (Ooops!) then saying "Oh, I didn't realize how wonderful it is" Gag me!! Don't be one of those!!

I don't want kids either and I'm 31 years old. People have given me so much backlash over not wanting any children. I can barely afford myself.

I'm experienceing the same situation right now minus the kid peeing everywhere(?) And a few other details. But i don't think im in a position to really complain when my family is as nosey as the neighbors upstairs... Honestly, the whole situation has given me PTSD and severe anxiety problems from both sides. Edit: I might end up deleting this but I just wanted to get this off my chest. Kids can be a nightmare tbh. People assume that if you do all the "right" things: being healthy, positive, present, affectionate, encouraging, providing opportunities etc that you'll end up with a happy, well-adjusted kid. Too often this just isn't the case. There are many parents who have done a really good job & ended up with constant problems, disrespect, their kid on drugs or being promiscous, getting pregnant & not taking care of their child so the baby ends up at grandparent's house constantly.. It's always a risk.

It's not affordable. Period. We're out here doing traditional men's jobs working hard using our skills and can barely afford to live unfortunately. So it not that we don't want kids. It takes 10 years to even figure out how to make a real living these days.

I did want kids when I was younger but with the job and dating was so crappy; it never ended up happening. Now that I'm a bit older that whole wanting kids thing and even getting into relationships is pretty much behind me, I just enjoy my peace too much these days

Kids are just too expensive. I'm finally at a point in my life that I can pretty much do whatever I want. I'm not going to let anyone change my mind and trade all those years of hard work just so I can I can live comfortably to dedicate the next half of my life to someone else.

when i made it very clear i had no intention on having kids my parents didnt even blink, they were in complete agreement and acceptance because of their own struggles...they wanted better for me.

The special parent love is technically a lie - you can see that by how many kids end up neglected and abused. Woman naming their children directly after the father in an effort to make them more invested in the child. Pass. So many other beautiful ways to live a life and leave an impact if that's your intention.

After a few failed long term relationships and 2 divorces AND WITNESSING thousands of other people catch hell with having kids with people that they're not with anymore .. I was turned off from having kids .... It's really about me not wanting to raise a kid without a wife and we're all in the same home like I was raised and I don't want to pay a woman I'm not with anymore any child support..so I took precautions.... when a relationship is done I'm done with that woman entirely... If I see her in public I won't even say hi unless she says hi to me first

There is no compromise with kids … because it’s not like you can parcel it out or give up this to get that … either you’re going to have a WHOLE kid or you’re not. When people say compromise I realize they don’t know what that means … in this situation one person gets what they want and one person doesn’t. There is not compromise.

The stigma about ‘if they don’t have kids, something is wrong with them’ is kinda annoying. Not interested by choice.

People who are always trying to convince women to have children should offer or prepare to help financially. Also, it is not a child's responsibility to "retire their parents". Sitting at home all day is not as wonderful as it's made out to be (though that's not the main reason that children aren't responsible for their parents' retirement).

I am a guy who is childfree by choice. When people ask, I always bring up what happened to me when I was 14. When I was 14 I was in class taking a test me and this girl were the last 2 left and I unfortunately finished the test before her. My mom was waiting for me outside and she was talking to a girl who had a child with her. It turns out the girl talking to my mom was the sister of the girl back in class and the baby with her was her nephew(The girl in class was the mom). So my mom and the girl kept talking and the child got hungry. The sister tried giving the child a cookie and something else, but the problem was the that the type of food the child wanted was still back in class taking a test. The child started crying and it kept getting louder and louder. When I started to see glass crack, I said to myself "I do not see how adults can handle this, let alone someone my age. I am never having kids".

I've never been interested in wanting kids. I think it is probably a turn-off for most women who are sizing someone up as a potential partner. I'm also not interested in Marriage either so that seems like it would be quite the double-whammy for them.

It's not about wanting/not wanting kids. It's about not wanting your assets stolen in divorce court.

Comming from experience as a single father, absolutely run from women wanting to be the Stepmom, they are highly likely to abuse the children, or turned the kids against you

I have 2 daughters i dont live with them or their mothers, (i dont allow animals in the house) i find modern female behavior quite disgusting and choose to live my life without drama, i have also found a single father raising daughter makes men a target by rude angry women, and they will conjure up all sorts of false allegations out of thin air, women subconsciously hate single fathers raising kids without any women around, and will create a bitch mob to destroy it,

Child freemale of 65 here. I never got any stigma and would have coldly humiliated anyone giving me grief about my choices. The best kind of boundaries to set are those which intimidate other people into minding their own business and not daring to meddle in yours. Their failure to do so terminates my respect for and obligation to be polite to them. I mind my business and damn well expect others to mind theirs. My late wife was the same and one reason I married her is she took zero excrement from anyone.
