Absolutely ridiculous protest. Making areas better for pedestrians is a nice thing. It's undermined by the appalling state of public transport in the UK, so how about you spend your time demanding better transport links instead of having a tantrum over minor traffic diversion. The problem is that the UK's only efforts to deal with ridiculous car traffic is to make driving a bit harder or more expensive. What you SHOULD be getting is opportunities to not have to drive as much.

Petrol Diesel or electric, you will not be alloud to drive your car for much longer, they want to take them away from you. MOVE THEM OUT THE WAY !✌

I cycled into bath thru lockdown. As soon as the traffic returned it was too dangerous. The danger came mostly from being passed by LGVs on the A roads outside the city. Reality is a that as long as we like shopping the roads are for vehicles and cyclists place themselves at danger by trying to use them. We can’t replace LGVs with bicycles so we need to stop this nonsense and accept that we need cars, vans and lorries until something better is invented. Embrace the automobile and get rid of fuel tax and our economy will start to boom again. Better for us all.

We seem to living in a democratic dictatorship, i.e. you vote someone into power then they tell you what your going to get, time to get back to people in power serving the best interests of the people who put them there.

I was in Bath recently ( not the nicest experience ,unfortunately) Thought , I know lets use busses to get about so went to the bus station . No bus routes shown . No time tables . No information . No one to help or advise .So based on this I can only assume the Bath Council dont want visitors to the city or want them to pay exorbitant car parking charges . Its a town I wont go to agian .

Unfortunately, residents of my former home city have a tendency to vote for virtue signalling Liberal Democrats. Vote for people who have a realistic understanding of how people want to lead lives including use of their own cars.
