Join me on a few little laps of Hampton Downs National Circuit, New Zealand. Just a few practise runs to see how we were going after a tuning session by Dave Moss. Awesome bike paired up with a Scorpion Red Power Exhaust. 2 years into riding, and my 2nd time tracking this little beast. Enjoy

Just a quick collab of some GoPro footage from some basic twisties on the new EX400. No Sliders = No Knee Down! Doesn’t go too badly on stock gear
Does that slip on have a baffle and if it does how many mm in length? The length of the baffle determines your A/F ratio thats why I'm asking.👍
zx10rr next
Looser😂
If you're gonna pass someone you need to downshift into a much lower gear than what you showed lol.
Hi, may i know where did u buy your seat cowl from?
Hi, may i know where did u get your seat cowl from?
Hi, just a little thing, please avoid using this camera in the future, it shows EXTREME levels of distortion and makes the video very unpleasant to use, maybe you can fix this in post, but pretty please do something about it Maybe it gets better later in the video, I am only 30 seconds in, but that's just something that immediately threw me off
It’s a GoPro, unfortunately for a linear camera they can tend to do this for a wider view 😅
Nice and throaty.
Kia Ora Amber another Kiwi here from Auckland. Just put a deposit on one today. Getting back into riding after 14 years at the age of 50! Very excited as I grew up with in line 4 and have been waiting for a new one for over a decade. Just wanted you to know I ordered a Yoshimura on Ali Express and it was cheap but I was told the guys in the states are buying it from the same place. Hope we have a specific club here in NZ for the in line 4. Anyway hopefully I will see you around on a ride. Please tell me how is the best way to get into track riding in NZ. In South Africa it was very much like Fast and the Furious in the 90s, very illegal. Not my thing here as I have teenage daughters a Dad has to set a good example too… btw let’s see if you get my personalised plate. 4TMNT 😊
Looks like you had a good time learning a new bike!!!
I'm.yhinking of buying this but I'm 5.3ft do U mind me asking how tall you are?
I can't wait to get one of these, not many canadian deliveries yet but i've been waiting for them to build this since I first got into bikes. I never thought they'd bring a small inline 4 back to north america. Great video quality, you deserve more subs!
Greetings from miami , picking mine up today, very excited , probably gonna wait a little bit for the tune since this is my first bike
Update?
@@SkankHunt42O hey , ive had a great time with it so far, already 518 miles on , tbh , powere feels great to me but im also not an adrenaline junkie speed demon lmao, but maybe i will tune it eventually this year, but man this thing is an absolute blast and I get compliments everywhere I go. I will probably never sell this thing and keep it and just keep adding things to it until it’s officially a track machine but until then I daily this bike because it’s that much of a joy to ride
Wow what an amazing bike absolute beast just a question for a total beginner would this be a good bike to start on bearing in mind I'm sensible and got a mature head would it be good to start on because I love this bike so much
I figured out how to ride a ninja. Buy a ZX10. Drive like a good driver and insurance stays low. Knock on wood.
I love this awesome 👍
Just an FYI... I have a 2021 ZX-6R, and a 1 inch lower seat and 1.5 clip-on risers makes the ZX-6R nearly identical to the ZX-4RR regarding seating position. Actually, my ZX-6R is more comfortable than my previous Ninja 400. I have the ZX-4RR on order. For street riding, a couple of easy to moderate updates will improve visibility, comfort, safety, and the overall riding experience.
Enjoy ride safe
Hey Amber thanks for the review. Had a ninja 400 a few years ago, I’m wondering how I would fit on this thing. Im 5’6 29 inseam 160 lbs. Regards from New Jersey United States!
Pretty comfortably. The 6ft guys have jumped on and said it’s not too bad, and me being so short, you’re lucky to be in the middle! Apologies for the delay!
Try a can off the z9rs...fits perfect.
Just got my zx4 here in Nz also and im feeling that exhuast struggle 😅
Saw some pop up on trade me actually!
Ah yep ill check out Tm aswell as ali for the mirrors, they look slick!
Nice initial review. I am looking at these in the UK and should get the full power version. If you dont mind me asking, what is your inside leg measurement, I am 5' 4" with a 28" inside leg and I wondering if I am going to be able to put both feet down. Balls of feet is enough. I tried an RS660 but that was a 1 foot only, which is why this bike appeals. More power than an A2 class bike, but I hopefully can fit on it and feel confident.
I'm 5'2 with 27 inseam and that's my current bike. I can reach both feet down though it's very tippy toe but doing 1 foot is very easy even with the traffic in the Philippines.
Hi. Just saw ur video. I bought the '23 ZX-4RR here in the U.S.. Look into Graves Motor Sports for their slip on or full exhaust. I bought their slip on and love it. Gonna flash my ECU this winter and possibly buy their full exhaust. I LOVE my 4RR. Here in the States, only 1 bike was delivered to each Kawasaki dealer in early '23, so roughly 1800 of them on the road here. Congrats. You'll love it.
How did you do the black stripe on the passenger seat cover?
The boys and some electrical tape as a joke 😂 literally hahaha
@@chaotic.blonde hell now I know electrical tape is the perfect width lol
Planning on buying the 2024 ZX4RR in 3 weeks, already bought the Impaktech crash cage before any exhaust, priorities people! 😅
Ooo exciting! You’re going to love it. Good idea re: cage haha!

@chaotic.blonde 😊
A slower right hand makes it more drivable also. Keeps the motor from being bogged down by throttle. As others have said, if you need a lot now, shift down. With time you’ll learn the ride and either enjoy it or hate it. As an ole man I apply this, learn the bikes strengths and weaknesses, use the strengths it has. I ride a 900RS also, I don’t expect the same ride from the smaller bike. Biggest problem for the 4RR is that right now there isn’t another to compare it to legitimately, it’s a good ride, maybe not the best but it’s fun to ride!!!
100%. Love the advice, thank you! I am finding the throttle in full power mode is rather touchy, but rather back off and work through the motions than full send and slip out 😅
Hi Chaotic Kiwi, you can buy a Yoshimura AT2 slip-on now, I got left behind too with Akrapovic, which apparently sounds stock 😀
Is this for NZ Market?
Yoshimura USA, perhaps they can ship down under?
zx25r accessories fit to zx4rr.
Have noticed that, but waiting on exhaust to be developed for it from Scorpion at this stage :)
Its just 400. Small pistons. U need down more gears for overtake.
Electrical tape just made the whole bike 'pop' 🤣
Hahahahahaha 😂😂 totally does
welcomd back! I got a zx4rr as well but currently in the sad U.S ver.
Oh very nice! Are you going to pop it through the tune?

Amazing sound. 🥰
You hit it on the head when you say it delivers the power like a 4 stroke. Thats what I noticed. I test rode mine in some boggy sand and it felt like it was going to bog down but it doesnt it just keeps pushing through.
What is your inseam ?
I'm 5'6 with a 28 inseam. Looking at the extrainer 300 as well. Can tell me what's your inseam is? Thanks
Welcome back 😁

Ótimo vídeo, parabéns! Kawasaki são as melhores!
I am 5’9 - 5’10 would like to see how I fit on one of these. Currently have a Suzuki RMX250cc and it wants to kill me too lol
I’m 5’8, and have this bike. I can touch perfectly. It’s a fun ride! Can’t wait to get back on it come spring time!
I bought a ‘24 last week. I am 5’7” with a 30” inseam. I am on my toes to touch the ground. I can’t see how someone 5’1” can touch without any mods to the seat height.

Got my wife one 2 years ago. She loves it. Check my vids if you’d like
Great Bike, great Rider. My wife is happy too.
What modifications have been done to the bike? I just bought my wife one and she is 5’2” and can’t come close to touching.
Stock standard bike with no modifications. A few shorter ladies have shaved the seat with good results though
If Geoff Ballard entered the A4DE on one,the bike is more than capable for most riders.
This is a valid point!
Awesome review and info. At 56 I still have that yearning to ride my first bike, doing a lot of research on what bike I like and considering for beginners like myself, I have loved Kawasaki Ninja line since the early 90's. Fell in love with the Green 💚🖤💚. Some day I will ride
I love my Ninja 650 too, I want to upgrade but waiting for Kawasaki to update their 636 with a TFT display and Autoblipper
Forgot the dead cat!
I can’t activate the turn signal with my left thumb if I’m squeezing in the clutch. Apparently you have to have a 9 inch thumb to do it. I literally have to reach over with my right hand and hit it
