    So, now I have a 2018 Pro1 and a 2023 roasted pine Pro2, and I can't say that I'm hearing any difference in the pickups, let alone any improvement. Have you been able to make that comparison, and if so, what did you think?

    • @AlexZilinskiGuitar
      @AlexZilinskiGuitar 3 дні тому

      @@donmunson4802 i hear ya ! .. what my conclusion is : single coils are single coils. I do notice a difference if they are wound hotter vs less hot , but in the end they sound like Single coils. The wood of the guitar / what bridge does make a bit of difference tho. But the same guitar with different pickups still always sounds like the same guitar. Different guitars have a bit different tonality. But no one in the audience would here that. Different Speaker cabs have way more impact on the tone I find 🙂. Alex.

    There is no such thing as a 1972 plexi. Plexi amps were stopped in late 69, early 70. Then Marshall went to metal panel. Slightly different circuits, with metal panels slightly brighter, and more gain.

    Is there the model called Super Lead Plexi in original Marshall amp head? Does it mean just Super lead? Do people call Super Lead 100W 1959 as Super Lead Plexi or SLP? It’s confusing with Reissue one. Never call it like that.

    After more than 2 years of abstinence, I went to the Music Station again and played 3 Fender American Professional II Strats, and again I noticed that the woods had little vibrancy, the maple necks were not very dense and responsive, there was little twang, little crunch , wiry-glassy, few overtones, sustain, attack, everything you associate with Fender guitars, everything is less than on my ESP 400 Series Strats and less than on my BLADE Texas models. This can be tested objectively and I can only say that I am extremely disappointed with this price-performance ratio. No, I can no longer objectively understand this adulation regarding Fender Strats. My first Stratocaster was a Fender American Standard Stratocaster and that was my worst guitar of all, a Fender Mexico Standard followed after that, but after I played the ESPs and the BLADEs everything was clear to me, and that proves itself again, every time, when I compare, the same result always comes out - what else can I say, it is true! The ESP-400-Series Strats and the BLADEs have objectively, noticeably and audibly better tonewood, the BLADEs even have a flattened neck-body-joint and covered fret slots and therefore much better playability!!! So, I'm done with Fender, I'm playing something clever, and at a much cheaper price. I don't want to talk anyone out of their love of Fender, I have nothing against you buying the (usually) worse guitars for a far too exorbitant price, you're welcome to do that. Then there will be more BLADEs for me, very simple! Thanks for listening!

      HI! danke fürs Kommentar! es könnte . ;) sofern man ne Endstufe und ne box dranhängt. fürs Recording gehts auch ohne. hier noch mein Kommentar dass ich grad jemand geschrieben hatte: "wirkt wertig verarbeitet. auch die Anbindung an die Software funktioniert ohne Probleme was ja oft nicht der Fall is. Plug & Play also ! Der Sound ist typisch Friedman . moderner fetter Rock Sound. mir waren es etwas zu wenig Reserven in den Höhen und zu viele Tiefmitten. Für härtere Musikrichtungen sicher gewünscht. Aber für Classic Rock / Vintage Sounds nicht ganz mein Geschmack. vor allem durch die Resonance/Depth Schaltung die auch die "echten" Friedman Amps (und viele andere HighGain Amps) haben klingt das ein wenig unnatürlich für Classic Rock / Blues / Funk. Es is einfach zu viel im Tiefmitten / Bassbereich. das schwingt meiner Meinung nach etwas mit was da "nicht hingehört" bzw ich da nicht hören möchte.. Trotz allem ein sehr nützliches Tool für Recording & Live , obwohl ich für live definitiv zu ner zusätzlichen Endstufe + Box rate um auch etwas Luft zu bewegen."

    • @SergeiVlassov
      @SergeiVlassov 6 місяців тому

      @@AlexZilinskiGuitar I have cruisers set in my MIM Strat and no, neck version is not too bright for sure, I am even thinking about changing pots from 250k to 500k. Real single coils in my MIJ start sound significantly brighter. Here in your video it is also clear that cruiser was least bright of all of the options. Andy Tommons on more recent albums prefers darker fatter tones, that is true. His guitar tone is significantly less bright than that of e.g. Satriani or Vai. So if you experiment further, I suggest you to try neck version of cruiser in the neck. I also had Dimarzio CHopper for some time in the bridge of a strat. Interesting pickup, sounds like a single coil with Tube Screamer in a clean booster mode. But the problem is that you cannot switch off that Tube Screamer thing in it if you want just a SC tone. SO I went with all Cruisers in that strat and I am happy.

      @@SergeiVlassov well what is bright and what is dark is all subjective .. but its awesome that you find pu's that you dig !! :) im staying with real singles + ilitch noise cancelling backplate for now..

      @@AlexZilinskiGuitar I was looking at that plate as well, but I am not sure will it be effective against buzzing? I don't have problems with hum, little hum does not bother me, but where I live I have buzzing on higher frequencies. This buzzing is eliminated if I use noiseless pickups or 2nd and 4th positions on a strat with single coils. Can you please comment on efficiency of that backplate against buzzing if you have experienced that?

      @@SergeiVlassov shielding the pu and control cavity helped me with high frequency buzz. noiseless pu's like lets say Dimarzio Area pickups or Fender Noiseless are a little more effective in the high frequencies . but it was enough for me. i was more concerned with getting rid of the low hum ..
