I just got the Ecstasy module today and it is PHENOMENAL. In a way, it's an even better platform to start the Synergy stuff with than the Friedman BE-BB, which is saying a lot...the BE-BB is where I started and I still hold it in very high regard. What nobody really seems to mention about the Ecstasy module is how much it represents so many different iterations of Plexi-based tone. It'll do the regular ol' AC/DC stuff, but it'll also do the modded, compressed, modern stuff ala Wizard MTL if you hit the red channel, cut the bass back a tad, "V" mode on the Shizo, and "B2" on the Pre-EQ. The only thing this module won't QUITE do is super-duper, pristine cleans. It'll get clean for sure if you drop the Blue channel gain really low, drop your pickup height, play with fingers/ pick really light (or a combination of any of this), but it's still more of a Vox-like clean...it's clean, but it has a HINT of grease on it. There's something very "tropical" about it and very much the kind of cleans you hear in world music. There's a couple of extra switches that don't get talked about: the 101b/100b switch, which only affects the red channel, and the Air switch which is global. 100b is exactly as the manual states--more woody, compressed, but also less gainy (I found that most of the gain will come from the pre-eq switches, while the gain knob mostly serves as a boost in low end in this mode). This mode is great if you like compressed crunch tones ala the crunch channel on an SLO-100. I like the 100b mode for that, and because it matches my Herbert module's high gain rhythm texture pretty closely, except as a crunch version of it. I get a synergistic progression of channels like this. 101b mode is more gained up, but more open too. Very easy to play. This time, the gain knob functions traditionally and this mode represents the more familiar Ecstasy sound. KILLER for leads, but it will chug if you drop the bass off noon or add a low gain od. On it's own, it's JUST shy of tight enough for chugging. Air just extends the frequency range and gains it out a bit more. I leave it on so it's more modern.
I was thinking about purchasing one of these specifically for home use. I was curious how strong is that master volume? Could I get some awesome tones at lower volumes? Also I don't know if I would get the 2x12 or 1x12
hi! the master vol is pretty good ! im sure it would work at lower volumes .. in general i always prefer more speakers compared to less speakers.. even tho a 112 will be a bit quieter than a 212. 212 sounding fuller .. if you get a 112 i wouldnt go smaller than a e.g. fender hot rod deluxe size cab. anything smaller sounds too nasal imo... hope this helps ! 🙂
I just ordered a Synergy Bogner Ecstasy and can't wait to start jamming. Incredible playing and demo!!!
thats awesome ! hope you like it and have fun with it !! Alex 🙂
Thank you @@AlexZilinskiGuitar

Good timing, I am just moving over to this platform. Great playing Alex!
Hey John , thanks a lot !! Which module are you using ?
You put the Bogner on this list as well.
@@ejaymo cool. It is pretty versatile. Lot of options. The new Friedman Be Dlx should be great too
After I saw a few videos from you. What do you prefer? Bluguitar or Synergy?

hello, do you still have the SYN-30? Would it be loud enough to play in a rock covers band?
hi! i dont own it anymore .. but yes , it is absolutely loud enough !!! :) 🙂
