Great video! Thanks for this, just what I needed.
Thank you for this video. I needed this. I am feeling overwhelmed and not so confident after getting a new job. I want to quit but I know I need to give it time.
My boss continously ask me how, can it be that difficult, to have anxiety.
Thank you for your great info!
Thank you for this video. My confidence was shaken at my previous role, where I was bullied and ousted out of the workplace. I am starting a new role tomorrow and this has helped me stay calm and motivated to succeed. Thank you 😊
Because you know the relationship is they have power and you don’t
Finally someone who knows what I'm going through.
My primitive brain is apparently telling me I am always in danger...work and relationships...Gd help me
I started a new job two days ago and never went back for the second day. I knew it was a mistake half way into it.
Love this! So many of yr vids and content is relatable for me xx
My orientation is in 3 hrs and i had 4 hrs of sleep because im sooo nervous
I have spent two month obsessed over this presentation and dreaming of the moment I will get it done with and how I will just lie down besides my desk feeling joy and even though it went fine I didn't I absolutely didn't have this much wanted experience I just felt a mild relief and start thinking about what I could have done wrong with out noticing and how I could have done it better I can't say this doesn't actually lead me to better work but it absorbs all the joy from the experience and I am doing what I love I am in my dream work
Oh my goodness I'm watching this in 2024 and it's so accurate. Thank you
Golly, 2nd video I’ve watched by this lady and she hit the nail on the head again
This is spot on what I am experiencing, it’s terrible and very difficult to fix!
Otw to work and watching this. Gosh i hate anxiety
Wow!! You have me perfectly described on my new job, I was going through that on the last company I was working for..
Lady.. stay at your field .. coaching whatever that would mean. Are you a neuroscientist or a psychologist or a psychiatrist to really know how brain works. Because people with their wall full of PhD diploma in this field.. bc they are scientists.. they admit we as a science community we know so little. Also real therapists started to argue that many life coaches or coaches of some sort.. start interfering with real treatment. Pls stick to your coaching.. whatever that would mean: acquire new skills... Set realistic objectives, whatever is that you do.. but don't pretend you know how the brain works. This is dangerous and might put people in danger.
The best explanation for work related anxiety I've ever heard. Liked and subscribed. Will be checking out your other content very soon. Thank you.
Listening to this just reduced my stress a shit ton. Thanks 🙏
Whew thank you for using these words to explain this mind warp
I’m going through this right now. I just started a new job 3 months ago and I have been stressed and crying. I finally had a breakthrough last night when I completed a complex schedule in about 4 hours vs days. Your video will help me as I move forward. Thank you!
You're welcome!!!
This was great insight!
Excellent
I don't get where shes going with this. Yes people have ANXIETY. Everyone thinks differently, some people have a inner monologue some people don't. Those that don't can get through work easier than someone who doesnt
If you don't feel successful making 2 million a year you are completely delusional lol
Going through this right now. I feel so stressed out and I be having anxiety, they’re not training me right now they just put me to work at my new job . 😥
I know this is an old video but just wanted to put me two cents in. Whenever I was young, I was under extreme stress. Especially when joining the Marines. But I was able to handle it and didn't stress about it. What's different now,is that I have a family and a new job and it feels overwhelming. I thought about it and I think its because people are counting on me and I don't want to let them down. I can't fail. Need figure out how to deal with that.
You are an angel talking in my ears of all the good hope and clarity Thank 🙇
I am working on a degree and i have to do an externship and feeling really nervous about the whole thing.
How did it go😊
Thankyou ❤️
Thank you for this video 😭
I just got my first job at a bio genetics lab. I am “the new guy” and I’m making little mistakes here and there every day. To my credit, they are all new kinds of mistakes, because I feel like a baby in such a new environment. I’m 35, I’m not a new worker, just new to the field in a real life application. Everything is new to me, it’s like I can’t tell a spoon from a fork sometimes (sampler vial tube, auto sampler tube, microcentrifuge tube with or without filter… 😢). It’s so much to learn and every step is so critical and precise… it’s so overwhelming. I started to make little mistakes like fully filling out details on the worksheet, or using the wrong kind of pipette style for certain liquids… And today, the gasket of the microcentrifuge imploded when I set it off. Thankfully it is not a difficult part to attain, but we are down one small centrifuge for a bit. I am definitely on my boss’ sh*t list today. I can only hope that the work I did today reads well tomorrow morning. I literally just shed some tears over this video. #Impostorsyndrome indeed…
My colleague (a catering manager) and I (the chef) were overwhelmed at this service. It was just us two, as no caterer from work could help us. A couple were out of town, a few were preoccupied with personal stuff, and the rest had other shifts to work. There was one particular guy we thought we could count on, but no. It was a TIRING night for me and my colleague, and you know what? We deserved it. Turns out, the said caterer chose to not help us, because we were too hard on him for some mistakes he made. And I'd say he was right.
This was exactly what I needed

Thank you.
A close friend told me she's been losing jobs after about a year and a half mark, never due to performance. She doesn't know why except that people tell her she looks nervous and scared most of the time. And the official reason for her being terminated is usually 'reorganization' or 'lack of fit". She's had a tough childhood and by the looks of it, might be suffering from CPTSD. I'm empathetic, but really don't know how I could help her, paid work is such a basic need.
damn,,finally a video i was looking for :-)
Oh wow. On point. Just like another writer. On my first week, it is a new field and terminology. I have really debilitating anxiety right now. Physical anxiety is so unpleasant. Your right we have other history where we became good at our job.
Going to work……..
2 days of horrible training by condescending people who thought we were in elementary school apparently. Along with having to out how old all of us were to each other and discuss personal things about ourselves when the job had nothing to do with any of those.
Thank you! This video really helps me a lot on a stressful week 🙌🏻
Thank you for this, it helped put things into perspective 😭
Seriously called me out. You said when you rehearse what you are going to say, overthink it and then miss out on the opportunity to even say it - 100% me. I have found that I worry about a certain coworker or the entire group and them judging me based on my idea or suggestion that I never even get to even say it.
Fantastic advice! I needed this
I was in a position for over two years that I liked and was settled into. HR made a decision, out if need, to mandatory transfer me. I’ve been there about two months now and I hate it anxiety every day nerves every day sick to my stomach every day cry once or twice a week no more and all I wanna do is go back to my other job part of the reason why I hate it is overwhelming and there’s a lot to learn but a great deal of it is my supervisor. She doesn’t want to really train me. She doesn’t want me to ask questions. She’ll say things you’re already asked that question I’m not answering that question, I was thrown into. I didn’t want to flea.
Lol...Thank you for this, i actually suffer from this
I never had a mom that truly helped me with tough emotions. This left me feeling scrambled when something major happens and I feel insecure and depressed. I changed jobs one month ago after being an expert and the top of the ladder at my old one. I'm totally uncertain and very depressed. I've been internally beating myself up for not being as confident as I wish I was. Thank you so much for this video, I can't express how much this has helped me right now.
I have just qualified as a nurse and start my dream job in two months. This time off inbetween a busy uni schedule to starting work has allowed my imposter syndrome to flourish. It’s so severe I’ve considered quitting nursing before I’ve started. Thank you for this video
