Is the music at 5min or so Khrungbin? Lol. Anyone relate to this?
I enjoyed your video & helped me lots I have also Compass & the torque required.
I think it will be good to remove bearing rear seal to allow frequently lubrication. The issues here is that the bearings are districted to lubrication due to this seals.
Great viedeo, but pain about my Patriot 2008. I have issue make a lot noise driver side
Hi.. Thanks for your video! I have the same problem but when I put the 3rd and 4th gear I feel some problems like synchronization between gears.. Can you give a advice?? Thanks.
I currently have a 77 wagon. I love it, I use a walker to get around, it’s so handy to lift the hatch and put my walker in. Wife and I take it to church and on the way home stop by tractor supply and get feed for the deer. Mine is in great shape at 70,000 miles. I’ve added factory cruise control and factory AM/FM 8 track. Have lots of tapes and it sounds great. Looks like you have a nice car. Good luck with the sniper let use know how it works out. I have mine getting the seats reupholstered. You can get matching material at SMS or try Carol the Pacer Guru. She’s a good source for parts.Have fun with it you will get a lot of looks.
I had a 1977 AMC Pacer in college Mine had the 258 Straight 6 Automatic PS/PB Cold A/C Tilt wheel Cruise Control AM/FM Cassette Rear defrost Dealer installed Power Windows Power Locks. Mine had no rust paid 100.00 for it in 2004. I drove it for three years and sold it to a neighbor for 300.00
Hey guys new jeep owner first time and having this problem. Can anybody please tell me what to buy to fix this problem?
ive been racking my brain trying to figure out what causes this to happen before i put mine back together, the fact that those bearing have "seals" but theres a whole lubrication system designed for them is odd, both transmissions i have had too much silicone on the cover which blocked the oil from circulating, and this trans has a modular clutch so that bearing is actually taking thrust everytime you push the clutch in which isnt ideal for ball bearings, just a weird setup
any ideas on the cause and ways to prevent it from happening again?
Removing bearings rear seals might be the solution. As the bearings will be continuously lubricated
I know this is old. But…. I’m having a similar issue except my drivers side controls work for the driver side, but no passenger locks or windows. I can use my passenger side to lock and unlock, but can’t operator the window. Rear driver controls works, but not rear passenger
@@ronald_trunk1704 Most likely a broken wire in one of the doors, either the driver’s or passenger’s side
Where did you buy your gas tank from?
If I could post pictures, I have this jeep torn apart.. Man I'll be trying a passenger switch tomorrow
How did you remove the two outside nuts from the fuel tank plastic cover? The nut is just spinning the stud and there's not enough space on the stud head bolt to grip it with a wrench or socket. Assuming there's some trick to this..? Thanks
Sounds like your stud is spinning, unfortunately. I just spun the nut right off on mine, that simple. Sounds like you'll have to get creative to get the nut separated from it
Bring a friend! This is a super video that you made! I have a T-350 manual transmission (DODGE AVENGER 2.0 petrol engine) and the same noise problem. The reason is a leaking axle shaft seal. I only realized this late because the mechanic at the auto service told me that I should buy a new clutch kit, and I drove almost 1000 km on this noise. I'm afraid that the gears might be damaged. I forgot to say that I'm from Estonia. Thank you very much!
Thanks you You ate the best one leaving information. 2 days lookin for information. God Bless you
Sorry do you know all the sensor number? Thanks you
I still have a 1970 AMC Ambassador Station wagon.
Hey, just have a quick question. I watched your video with your AMC hornet really nice car by the way I have one and I’m wondering how hard of a job it would be to install a Chevrolet 327 in it is there a lot of modifications that would have to be done, as far as positioning motor mounts that sort of thing
Great video buddy
You could get a matador coupe with a 401 in the first year
I’d love to have a 79 spirit amx, since I was born in 79
Prestolite is still better than the ford duraspark
I can’t believe I missed this video. Good to see you fellers last weekend, sorry we had to be quick, we had another event to go to, but hey we finally got the fender for Grayson’s hornet
What needed to be pressed out?
@@Petethebuilder The hub needed to be separated from the axle shaft
Great Video! I was hoping the Starter would be easier getting out, but doesn't look to bad.
So, I had the problem of getting one loud click (and then nothing) on my 2004 4.7l. I followed the video and replaced the starter and then, the same thing happened. It turned out that going through, cleaning and tightening all of the upper battery cable bolts and connections did the trick. I used a wire brush to scrape and sprayed Dexoit D5 on any copper that was green or black. If I had to do it over again, the first thing I'd do is simple/easy/free stuff: Cleaning, looking, checking, tightening. Next, I would start testing voltages at the starter. Check the big fat red wire from the battery is always +12V hot (note: it is ALWAYS HOT so do not shock yourself or short it to chassis) and is STILL +12V with key in START. Check the little green wire is +12V with key START. I would check these voltages at the starter connections. You might need some long leads and alligator clips to hook up your voltmeter.Jjeepforum dot com has good information if you use their advanced search option.
Did you fully drain the transmission fluid before this job or did you just replace the fluid that came out when you took that cover plate off?
Drained the Trans Fluid out of the Drain Plug before doing the job, and then replaced all fluid. The video goes over the process...
Great video. Appreciate your effort to explain it all so clearly that even 6 years old kid would be able to understand 👍
hey man just wondering where you got your tailpipes from? or did you have them custom made? Looking for some for my 70 Javelin and these look similar to what i think i need
@@aaronhatfield4582 The car has custom-bent 3” exhaust from front to back WITH electric cutouts after the H-Pipe. It’s overkill for the little 304…😂
@@AmericanMadeClassics oh that’s cool man. My javelin has the 304 too but it’s got a cam, intake, 4 barrel, headers too but also a little more compression from the earlier 70-71 heads. Cars got 3.73 gears so it goes pretty good still
Nice video tackling this tomorrow
Hi, well, when the pacer came out I went by my AMC dealership and checked it out, the only one they had was a poop brown color, and I thought it was the ugliest car I'd ever seen! My girlfriend wanted me to buy it but no way. Now, I've owned many Jeep CJs, Cherokee wagoneers, and a Hornet wagon. I also while working at the steel mill, bought a Gremlin X, v8, I loved that car it was blue, white graphics. 4speed I shocked the shit outta guys with cords N chevys. I lived in Swanton VT 6 miles from border, I brought my CJ 7, my. Gremlins X with me. I bought a Jeep J 20 used pickup and no snow ever stopped me from my teavels. I was so damn sad when AMC shut down and was sold. Now, I'm 76 ears old retured, and watch all the AaMC shows each year. Now the Pacer has gained its due respect and it has grown in me. I'm glad so many have been saved. But I've never seen one with a V8!! Now its a cool collectable and its great!!! Ill be looking forward to seeing her done!!! Where's the Hornet X?
Thanks! Your video was very helpful! Go Pack Go!
Great video! Helped me with the install on my own Eagle!

I just did this job with confidence thanks to this video. Honestly, grinding down the puller may have been the hardest part. I know it all would have been much harder without your help though. Thank you!
@@kylescott6638 Glad it worked out for you, good luck to you going forward!
Man I wish this video existed a year ago. Nobody ever mentions you have to modify the puller. I went through three pullers (with my car apart) before just grinding down the one you used. Unfortunately, two weeks after doing the job to success, I found the snap clips in my toolbox. It lasted 40k without those clips so here I go again..but your video is by far the best!
