@@svartmetall I've been periodically looking for other M87 stuff for years (which is how I found this), so glad to hear it. The capacitors on my Bose Wave cd player are fried so a digital version would hit the spot. The question of what you do technically to make this music with what I assume are conventional electric guitars and effects (I assume "all sounds produced on guitar and bass" means you don't just use them as synth triggers) is almost as intriguing as the music itself.

Sorry, missed your reply - it's a variety of differently-tuned and -detuned guitars, and various multi-FX chained directly together. I much prefer to do that than use plugins, for the most part, as you get a more chaotic and also more organic sound.

Heh - 'Abyssal Symphonies' has always been planned as a double album, even back when I was on Supernal, and the piece I've always intended to open disc 2 is a massive 40-minute epic that's going to be insanely difficult to record :) Translation: I want to get 'Abyssal...' out more than anyone on this planet, but I *will not* compromise the quality of either the pieces themselves (more than a few of the pieces turning up on this channel are effectively demos for the album) or the final sound quality on a labour of love like this :)

It's somewhere in the Lehman Caves in the US, IIRC. This piece is very much intended as a companion piece to 'Gallery Of Dreams'; not often do you have 25 years between 2 related pieces :D

Hi! I think it's only findable in various distros at this point, as the original (and only) pressing is now sold out; I'll check up on the rights etc and see if I can make it available digitally.

Thank you :) More of the M87 space stuff is coming, I promise (I have several album's worth of M87 stuff written), but I'm still getting used to using a computer-based setup as opposed to tape-based as I was using back then (especially given that this stuff involves some, er, 'individual' playing and recording techniques on guitar & bass) so it may be a week or two more before new M87 stuff turns up here.
