DEVOID NEWS - 'Tombs' album release!

In case you were thinking it had been a bit quiet on the channel lately, that's because I've been busy working on this. I recorded the first piece of what would become the Devoid project back in about 1995, after being introduced to Warhammer Quest and wanting to make some suitably subterranean-sounding music to help our tabletop sessions be more immersive. Gradually I got more and more into making these kinds of soundscapes, and it also became a point of honour that everything would be done on guitar and bass which really spurred me on to being creative in how I approached the instrument.
So here at long last is the first Devoid album 'Tombs', all two and three-quarter hours of it; seven subterranean soundscapes designed to evoke various and mysterious underground places, some of it new all-digital recordings and some of it newly restored for this release from the original multitrack tapes from all those years ago (and if I've done my remastering job right, you shouldn't be able to tell the difference). The remastered version of 'Gallery of Dreams' is what's playing in the background for this announcement, by the way, in case you want to compare the before-and-after sound quality to the earlier version I posted here a while ago.
