I don't often comment on any of this stuff on you tube. BUT I have to say, I've watched A LOT of Motorcycle videos on you tube and yours are the very best I've seen, bar none. The photography and the editing are magnificent. As far as I am concerned you two are the best on you tube.

This whole video of this 30day trip, has me envious of you. To be as young as y'all, and to be able to do this, I sure wish we could have been able to do that. I just love your videos, and as i watch them, I imagine myself doing that when I was that age. Enjoy, and do,and make as many memories as you can, because father time waits for know one.

So smart and wonderful that you have the means to do such adventures while you're young and healthy. These memories, you will cherish them the rest of your lives. So glad you shared this with us. My wife and i made plenty of memories before we decided to have a child. And so glad we did. Now in our senior years, we look back and happy we did so many things. And now, we are doing round 2 of making more memories. We hope to be able to do a trip like this on our motorcycle. Even if we can't go as far,do whatever we can do comfortably. Just take our time and go!!!!

Hey you two, really enjoy watching you as you go on your adventures. Love it that you are not on the latest Harley but riding a old school. I own a 99 Dyna Wide Glide that has been a project bike for some time. You have given me that push to hit the road with her and do some exploring in Washington State. If you ever get over to Bremerton say hi.....................

Glad to see you use paper maps too. There's been more than a few comments to me when I am carrying my atlas into a restaurant to map out my destination. I do have a GPS on my bike and of course my cell phone. Just on my last trip I was going through Colorado and pulled out my atlas and started to look at it and noticed that the Colorado Rockies were not too far away. So I headed that way on a side trip.

That was a very inspirational video. I have never taken such an epic journey on a motorcycle, though I have rode for most of the past 50 years, and always dreamed of doing so. I still do and seeing your adventure really has me considering doing so... In '99 I bought my first new Cruiser, a Kawasaki Vulcan 800. I had seen advertisements for it, but every northwest dealer I called was sold out. I was crushed, I really wanted that bike. Soon after a fellow Electronics Instructor, where I worked at in Spokane, came in and said "Darrell, They have your bike in Coure 'd Alene Idaho at a small powersports dealer" The next day I rode it home... Unfortunately I was again crushed when it was stolen 4/20/2000. In '02 I had relocated to Pullman Washington and saw a new Honda Shadow Spirit 750 at the local dealer and knew it was the bike I wanted. I arranged financing and I rode it home. Things changed after I lost my job, and I got rid of nearly everything I owned, jumped on bike, and rode down to Bullhead City AZ from Pullman to "start over". Three months later I jumped back on the bike and headed back to Spokane after things weren't going well there. Years later the Shadow Spirit was totalled and I was rushed to the hospital, when someone turned directly in front of me. It was the day I got the title in the mail after making the final payment, 1/2 hour later, 1/2 Block from my apartment. In '07 I ordered the exact same model from Honda. I completely customized the bike adding Cobra Exhaust, Hyper Charger K&N Air Filter, Scootworks Belt Drive Conversion, had every bracket and most external parts professionally chrome plated. I added many Harley Davidson parts like flame foot pegs, brake and shift controls and custom mirrors. Had installed tons of LED Lighting, had the tank and fenders professionally painted adding black flames and silver pinstriping at Sturgis Bike Week. I had a Honda Plexi Windshield like I bought for my prior Shadow. I had changed out all the handlebar controls, switchboxes, grips, levers and replaced with chrome. I also switched to custom LED Turn signals, added a headlight modulator and one for the brake light. I modified the rear fender extension/license plate mount to accept a Harley Chrome Pyramid plate holder and had it all chrome plated like I had done on my prior bike. I added a HD leather tank bib and too many other custom modifications to list. The bike was stunning... I had many comments on it while at Sturgis and Deadwood. I was able to do some rides around the area during the rally. In 2010 I built a motorcycle trailer, added a hitch to my Pontiac Fiero and again got rid of nearly everything I owned and loaded up my bike, and once again headed to Arizona to "Start Over". Unfortunately several years back my finances forced me to sell my motorcycle and I was really crushed yet again. Times have been tough here and a few years back I lost my housing and was facing homelessness. I bought a Chevy Astro Van from a friend which I converted to live in and traveled around Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico for several years. I was forced to return to the Phoenix area after an episode with severe heat stroke. A few months ago I decided that I really needed to get another bike, the same exact model as my prior 2 Honda Shadows. It has always been my dream to take trips and travel around this country on the back of a motorcycle, and would still love to before my body couldn't handle it anymore. I found an '06 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 used and bought it. the bike was in overall good condition for its age and considering it has 62K miles. I have been slowly replacing parts which it was missing or needed replacing,. Also all the parts to completely rebuild the forks which are leaking. I fixed a small coolant leak at the crossover between the cylinders and replaced the coolant recovery tank. I also replaced the battery and added a chrome Kuryakin battery voltage/charge system monitor like I added to my prior bike. I bought new vinyl and foam to reupholster the seat. The latest Shadow already had a chrome "Shorty" Exhaust system installed, K&N Air Filter and carbs were rejetted. after hours of cleaning and detailing, the bike looks nearly new. I want to replace both tires and get more hours riding it to ensure it wouldn't have any issues on an extended trip. Watching your video has reignited my dream of travelling, and I thank you for taking to time to document your journey, and edit such a well done video!
