How to - Fasten a Double D Ring chin strap on a crash helmet
D ring helmet fastenings are the most popular type of helmet fasteners and if you can do them that are so easy to do that you don’t even need to think about it, if you’ve never done one before then they can be quite confusing. Especially when you have the helmet on and you’re having to fasten it just by feel. After meeting a few customers who didn't know how to fasten a Double D Ring chin strap on a crash helmet, we thought it would be a good idea to do a step by step tutorial to guide anyone who was struggling with them.

Fast city filtering on a Motorcycle - Riding to MyMoto Manchester (Royal Enfield Meteor) Time Laps
Переглядів 11714 годин тому
Commuting into a city on a motorcycle, although not everyone's idea of fun, it does make a lot of sense. Quick commute times, low cost and an opportunity to ride a bike every day, outweigh the risks of busy roads in the rush hour. When we had the Royal Enfield 350 Meteor, I commuted into MyMoto Manchester on it for a whole week to see how cheap it was (see link below to RE running cost video). ...

Once a year, @RichyVida hosts an event for all his followers, called The Wildbad Weekender and this year we decided to join in on the big ride out. Day two and already 403 miles into our five day tour of Scotland's North Coast 500. This leg of the journey took us up from Dingwall to John O'Groats and we finished the day at Caithness View Lodges with a total mileage of 542 for the trip so far. We decided to do the NC500, anticlockwise because so many people had told us how boring the East Coast is and that if you do the West first, that it'...

    Pro Tip: That red tab is also very handy for helping you find & separate that 1st ring by feel only from the 2nd one, since you usually can't see what you're doing, unless you're cheating by using your bike's mirrors..😄 Great vid! 👍🏼

    Im curious what the top end would be without the 73mph limit..Bit Draconian to put that limit on if you ask me. If youre riding on an A-road dual carriageway you'll have people whipping by you at 80/90 +.

    • @mymoto-uk
      @mymoto-uk 10 днів тому

      Hi itzajdmting. It is a very tricky bike to de-restrict because apparently it is linked through the ignition system. I know someone who got one of these to race in freetech, and he actually switched it from an injection system to a carburettor, which bypassed the restriction. With that, he said it managed to do over 90mph. Thank you for watching my video and thanks for leaving me a comment 👍

    You're wrong about this being the pinnacle of the 4 stroke 125's. Back in 1980 Honda had the CB125T. If memory serves me right they would rev to 17000 rpm and.produced around 17bhp. They would top out at around 80-85mph depending on the wind. They were the quickest 125 I ever came across.

    • @mymoto-uk
      @mymoto-uk 11 днів тому

      Hi bimdg. That sounded so cool that I had to have a closer look at the CB125T. I managed to find a video on UA-cam and it was quick, managing 80+ mph. I did only redline at 12000rpm though. This Kawasaki sounded like it was really trying hard when it was near the redline, if you could gat a 125cc single to rev to 17000 it would sound incredible. If it is overlooked then it should definitely not be because it is a great bike. The only reason I think it could be overlooked is because it’s engine is too big for a learner and small in comparison with other A2 licences eligible bikes. I would like to add to your review speaking as one that has owned one now for about 3 years. Bought my 2001Stellar Red Meteor 350 in August of 21. I currently have just a little over 11,000 trouble free miles on mine. When you were struggling to find something wrong with the bike you really couldn't find anything. (Except the cables when you lock the handlebars. lol) My one complaint is the halogen headlight. The first time I rode mine at night, I couldn't wait to get home. Really dim, I couldn't see anything. I fixed it by putting an engine guard on it and attaching a couple of LED lights to it. Really helped and I have no fear of driving at night now. Not to mention people see me coming and I haven't had anyone pull out in front of me since. I live in Texas, and you are right about the top speed. Not going to break any land speed records but I will be 68 in November, and I did all my fast motorcycle riding when I was younger. I had a Triumph 750 back in the 70's. I have the Tripper navigation on mine, and you can put in a destination and avoid highways and toll roads. I get on mine and ride the country roads. Over the years I have added a windshield, saddle bags, touring foot pegs, and just got a touring seat today. In conclusion my son who rides an Indian Scout 60 and I are planning a trip from here in North Texas to my home state of Iowa in October. About 800 miles one way. This is a great little cruiser, and I have no fear of making a long road trip with this bike. The tripper navigation will keep us off all the busy interstate highways and we can enjoy the less traveled roads. I agree with your review. The one statement I hear on almost all the UA-cam video reviews is "when I ride this bike it puts a smile on my face". Smiling here in Texas.

    I used to have a TZR125 with a working YPVS valve It could easily go off the clock and keep up with RSTurbos up to 70 mph in the early 90

    Thank you for the comparison! Question: what is the shell material on the K3? What is the benift going from plastic to fibre in terms of safety? Thanks!

    Nothing wrong with a 500....except it is not a three or four cylinder. So, you are riding a 1960 BSA with cool bodywork, basically.

      Hi Craig. I haven’t got a 500 BSA but I have got a 1960s Triumph 5ta, which is a 500 twin and it’s worlds away from this Kawasaki. It’s faster, it stops quicker, more reliable and it’s compatible with modern fuels. I love old bikes for what they are, but there is no comparison with this other than the number of cylinders it’s got. Thank you for watching my video and thanks for leaving me a comment 👍.

    There is no limit to the size of bike you can use for long distance it is just going to take longer. Years ago, my mate went from North to South Wales and back in a weekend on a Garelli Tiger Cross 50cc moped. Probably averaged only 40mph but he did it.

    Hi I’m unsure whether to buy the tractech eco 5 leather jacket or the s1 ce leather jacket. Could you give me any advice on the advantages of either one? Many thanks

    This is a good cost comparison but you’d need to add service costs insurance and road tax but am sure would still be cheaper then the other options Great work
