I don’t think that hoyoverse barely making brown characters comes from a place of racism but rather from a place of colorism. As we know, china is a country with much different beauty standards than ours, one of these beauty standards involves pale skin, like paper white pale skin. Most chinese people themselves aren’t pale but yet, most liyue characters (except for Xianyun) are pale. Take a look at Inazuma, not a single tan character even though most japanese people are tan-ish. Of course this doesn’t mean that we should brush things off, but stop calling it racism when it’s in fact colorism. Hoyoverse wouldn’t make the effort to represent this many cultures (even if they’re not always perfectly represented) if they were racist.

134k views Marvel Rivals is still incredible and I have no desire to play Overwatch 2 because Overwatch 2 is garbage. If they brought back Overwatch 1 I would play the game but that will never happen, they would rather kill Overwatch 2 than bring it back.

when OW 2 came out i stopped playing Overwatch because OW 2 is not Overwatch it is a pathetic parody of Overwatch Blizzard promised so much and in the end Overwatch 2 which was created for PVE they said that it is all for PVE but PVE was cancelled and what is the point of playing at all

Marvel Rivals has 10x the players Overwatch 2 ever had. You can see this in the console rankings as well. Overwatch is not gonna disappear but isn't the king anymore.

Uninstalled after 2 days of rivals. It was a good ride from release and I did enjoy some of ow2. But it’s a drag.

Overwatch died the moment they called it overwatch 2 then actively started making the game worse. Like they should have called it overwatch 0.8. No promised pve mode bait and switched thousands of people who were genuinely excited for it. Not that i cared anyways im not paying for cosmetics in any game

I like both games. Yes I’m a little burnt out on Overwatch and Marvel Rivals has been receiving all my time lately, but I went back to Overwatch the other day to check out the Avatar collab and it felt like coming back home lol. But yeah Marvel Rivals is really good and I’m loving it and Overwatch is still fun to me, but for now I’m putting it to rest🪦

I disagree, overwatch 2 completely failed to pull me back, like ever. Biggest fumble oat as someone who actually liked it.

It's never going to just disappear, no one thinks that - but the 'Blizzard won't let' mentality is kind of hinged on the idea that the company is actually going to both notice AND fix problems as they come up and after being a hardcore OW player since the early days I can say confidently that they can't really do either of those things. Even when they notice a problem their solutions usually just make five more problems in their wake, rinse and repeat. I still don't know why they don't have a Faction or Guild system in the game so you can find other players to play with IN the game - Marvels launched with a system like that and it's great, we didn't even have to wait or beg for it they just anticipated the need and filled the need before we knew it was even there. That's just good business. Heck even their monetization system is significantly more fair than overwatch's, and it's from a mobile game company well known for being greedy! Overwatch stole all of my gold and refused to give it back during the switch from OW to OW2 and then also won't let me spend it on anything worthwhile, they want $20 human dollars for a digital skin - absolutely bonkers. The servers will indeed stay up and there will be a die hard player base, but it's never going to be the game it could have been. Blizzard won't let it =/

I wish. But I’ll never log onto OW again. Sticking that clutch pulse bomb and getting a clean one-clip on a support as tracer was the biggest dopamine dump ever. And I’d rather starve myself of that, than get one shot by another overpowered new character. Or waste 10 minutes mag dumping a Mauga that doesn’t lose health. I’d rather go outside.

Right now marvel rivals is the big new thing and that is ok, it doesn't mean overwatch is dead. The games will most likely coexist instead.I love the chaotic nature of rivals and the competitive and strategic nature of overwatch.

Everyone who made Blizzard good has left the company. I have no loyalty left for them. I like Rivals better than OW. I don’t no life a game. I have a job as a chemist, I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. My self esteem doesn’t come from being good at a “balanced” game. I just want to have fun. I’m not frustrated with Overwatch, it’s just not fun to me. The way Blizzard “balances” a game is to take diversity and choice out and make an equitable mold that kills any chance of me having fun as a casual gamer

Lack of male characters in natlan make it very boring

Some maps in Natlan are good exploration wise. I really liked OchkaNatlan. Some characters are good(gameplay wise) like Chasca and Kinich. But the story and character writing is actual garbage. The Archon quest is garbage. I think Sumeru is where Genshin peaked in terms of writing. And Fontaine was great writing too it kept you engaged till the end. With Natlan it feels like a fanfic. Even that's an insult to fanfics cuz fans can write better than these clowns
