Brother East Brother West Band - Franklin's Tower Live 7/29/23
Live music. There's nothing quite like it. Everyone is in the moment, creating moments. Unrehearsed. No machines. Just humans reacting to each other's moment with their own. This sporadically happened the other night and was way more fun than we had a right to have. The band is Brother East Brother West. Cheers! #liveconcert #bass #guitar #drums

I hope you're all doing well, and I hope you're all navigating this pandemic safely and sanely. Lately, we all need a reason to smile. This song has done a great job of taking my mind off of the current situation we're living under and the friends I've lost. I hope it makes you smile too. Congratulations to Line 6 on their 15th Anniversary of Variax® guitars. I'm not playing a "guitar," but hopefully, this is creative enough to be considered for the hand-painted Shuriken Outlier Ninja guitar. I'm using the incredible Spider Capo. Hooked on Music is the opening track from one of my favorite live albums - Go For What You Know by the Pat Travers Band. Peter "Mars" Cowling was a tremendous force on bass, and this tune is a great display of a lot of the building blocks he used throughout his time with Pat Travers. He incorporated elements of rock, elements of jazz, elements of soul, and a taste of disco and did it all with a...

I've been influenced by a lot of Italian guitarists named Frank - Zappa, Vignola, Gambale, and Marino. In 1978 when Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush released their live album, a lot of guitarists went back into the woodshed and started to rethink their approach to the electric blues. I always thought Paul Harwood and Jimmy Ayoub were a great rhythm section, and Little Sexy Annie from Mahogany Rush ...

Run Silent, Run Deep by Raven from the album All For One. John Gallagher's bass parts on this tune are truly incredible. Yes - that is him soloing in the intro! John inspired me to put a whammy on my bass and let it rip! This tune also features a great 8/12 string bass part during the "quiet" interlude. John and Raven are truly inspiring. Check them out! Hey Nania, I recently launched a masterclass on music business, specifically on how to virtually sell music online in creative ways. It focuses on how to build direct, recurring sales as well as getting your listeners to invest in you as an artist.. It’s free because I’m a youtuber and love to educate and help artists to go full time in the music industry, and there’s also an offer at the end to learn with me on a close basis and get the entire system plus some bonuses for a couple hundred bucks. I think you’ll love the value in the free class. Would you mind if I send it over?

The level of transcendence in this track is just beyond words... I compare it to Maggot Brain, it's just full of emotions, and both songs are so similar in that regard and even the arpeggiated chords in the background... It's just a lovely track to ponder about life or to just take a step back and let it do the talking. Thanks Allan for your beautiful music and contributions, I'm aware you never liked compliments, but I can sense just how connected you were to everything... Your music is the only thing getting me through rough times, so thank you again for everything. Hope you are well on the other side. Much love from planet Earth, Allan.

Making the whole impression even more intense, to unbelievably sharp. One of the rare songs when Ian was able to show what he can do and lead the song. Got into Holdsworth in the late 70's, early 80's. Bought up everything I could find - Bruford, JLP, Gong, Soft Machine. Road Games, IOU, cassette of the Tempest record. Saw him at dinner clubs. Met him several times, had my pic taken with him at the Carvin booth at NAMM. Still have the GP mags, learned to mimic him on guitar but I could never actually play his music. >>SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME STORY! It's amazing how much of an impression he left.
