Looking at this again, and there's a dialogue error "The Enterprise D? But how?!" should be "That's OUR Enterprise! But how?!" Why the latter? Because it ramps up Picard's own nostalgia, even if she's not the Stargazer.

There are two things in this scene I had missed - the Enterprise-D and proper lighting. Seriously, after a season of atmospheric darkness, the light here is such a relief.

I’m glad this show is over. I feel like the people who made this had never watched Star Trek before. All of those carefully and lovingly crafted characters… I just don’t see it in this iteration. We spent five seasons with this crew, and there were some good moments, but they were far and few between.

Weird - Scotty knew all about the Gorn when Kirk and the Enterprise encountered them on Cestus 3 and were completely puzzled as to who they were and he didn’t mention it at all when the Enterprise encountered them? Hmm… there are logically two alternatives. Either Scotty contravened his sworn duty as a Starfleet officer or the SNW writers are a bunch of lazy sacks of shit who can’t think of any stories that aren’t piss poor retcons.
