Just started tuning into this series after learning about it from the Straight Path Convention that was held last weekend. I listen to it during my commute to n fro from work and i am definitely enjoying it. not to mention it makes me feel more motivated to enter work and be productive, insha Allah.

I love this book! Great conversation, guys! Kebetulan I came across Dr Zahurin's sharing of the video from LinkedIn and it was a really nice discussion to listen to while working. The part about the leadership style intrigues me. My family members are mostly businessmen and it's fascinating to see that they are indeed quiet and reserved and never really take credit for the company's achievements, but when it's needed, they will rise up with their "hidden charisma" to take charge. I make a comparison with my ex-boss who likes to put his employees down and talk big about his achievements. And the results don't lie - for each month I was there, an average of TWO employees resigned. Being humble, quiet and shy doesn't mean that they cannot lead a big organisation with charisma. It's like "sekecil kecil cili api" 🤣

Here is one dalil that not only zina itself is haram. But going NEAR fahsya' is haram. { ۞قُلۡ تَعَالَوۡاْ أَتۡلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمۡ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ وَلَا تَقۡرَبُواْ ٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَمَا بَطَنَۖ ... Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. ...And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. [Surah Al-An`âm: 151]

How interesting that revealing the human's aurah is THE FIRST intention of iblis towards mankind. فَوَسۡوَسَ لَهُمَا ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ لِيُبۡدِيَ لَهُمَا مَا وُۥرِيَ عَنۡهُمَا مِن سَوۡءَٰتِهِمَا But Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from them of their private parts. [Surah Al-A`râf: 20] And how interesting the reminder Allah swt gives to children of Adam, right after history of prophet Adam was revealed - focus on clothing. Not about the fruit of forbidden tree. { يَٰبَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ قَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكُمۡ لِبَاسٗا يُوَٰرِي سَوۡءَٰتِكُمۡ وَرِيشٗاۖ وَلِبَاسُ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرٞۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنۡ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَذَّكَّرُونَ } O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember. [Surah Al-A`râf: 26]

Assalam dr Adam ...Your video time marked 1.05 is so important that inspired me so much . I have some best friends that i wantvthem to revert . My mindset is definately wrong when i fear if they might get offended by my attempt to talk the truth about islam & loosing him instead .i pray to Allah swt to give me that strength not to be afraid to convey dakwah messages to our peers collegue , boss or even our best non muslim friends becos we loved them not only here in this temporary world but life hereafter / infinity akhirat.
