I am in love with a married co-worker. I didn't tell her. But I think she feels that.
¡LOS 2 MEJORES CULOS DE STRAR TREK, DESPUES DE UHURA.!
imo. The best partner for both Seven and B'elanna was each other but they both got stuck with lames bc of heteronormativity.
I agree with Seven :)
Gates McFadden is gorgeous.
“Jean-Luc, I heard you. Don’t push it away.” God, it was so tender, intimate and sweet the way she said that. Being understood and not having to explain it further. I think I’d melt if a woman said something like that to me.
Beautiful tribute! 35 years and a son later...we still do not know if they are a couple....
We later found out that they did indeed get together and have a son. So it came full circle.
Well... Picard Season 3 changes everything between these two
Beverly now needs your help again Picard
Picard Season 3 Episode 2 Spoiler: Do Not Read if You Haven’t Seen The Episode! Picard and Beverly had a son named Jack.
insurrection would of been even better if they brought them 2 together in addition to riker and troi. hope picard season 3 finally does
Yep, they did eventually get together, right after Nemesis, briefly, she went to Starfleet Medical, then left abruptly...
Blame on the producers wanting to make Jean Luc Picard a little more Kirk/Bond like.
TV sure had different values back then.
wonder where picard season 3 will go with this
Picard S03E02 uhmmmm
SLUTS
Seven's a Playa. She's looked down, she knows what she's bringing to the game.
Sad episode.
How the hell they put two people side by side in a Jeffres tube?
What episode is this clip from?
Course: Oblivion
Wow seven was for the streets
I think Insurrection would have been greatly improved if this was revisited - but I'm not sure how it would fit into the story (it needed to be rewritten anyways).
Why are their voices so deep in this clip?
0:29 so 7 is interested in romantic intersections with more people?
i mean...i get why 7 was made but like...heels? really? doesn't seem like a Borg thing to do.
If you ever wondered if Star Trek is "sex positive"... here is your answer.
I am held hostage to keep me quiet while trash people steal from a fraudulent Court proceeding. ... they also raped me sometimes at night
lol just noticed how hot crusher is
So this debunks any theories that somehow Wesley was Jean Luc’s son. They were never physically intimate! But in fairness he was a father figure for Wesley. A shame Wesley never became more than an ensign. Being the metaphorical son of Jean Luc would still have carried some heavy weight in the federation’s eyes.
Pause at 0:21 You may thank me later.
It really sounds like seven is into polygamy XD
Well, you gotta remember she still thinks like a Borg. Her humanity is still barely activated at this point. Also, remember this is a Memetic Demon Planet copy of Seven of Nine. They went a different path than Voyager, different experiences. But at this point, both Seven's, She constantly interrupts, she speaks in monotone and very direct. If you look at dating from a Borg perspective it would mean dating everyone until she found the match that would resemble, perfection. Remember at first she was ready to have sex with Harry when she noticed that he found her attractive. As she grew she discounted the idea of dating Harry because of his personal quirks that confused her even more. She worried about Monogamy because that would also limit her search for perfection.
And it's kind of funny about how she wouldn't date Harry Kim. He was the first one on Voyager that got her. He tried to get to know Seven, understand her. Kept her safe when he stopped her from touching an open plasma conduit. When she cut herself and felt insecure about being essentially Mortal again, he comforted her. When Tom made jokes Harry could see Seven's pain and defended her. It didn't matter he was attracted to her. He was one of the biggest reason's Seven transitioned to Voyager as well as she did. Torres hated her and treated her like garbage most the time, Paris acted like she was okay with him but took a long time to realize his jokes were hurting her.
@@JaybayJay that's an interesting way to look at it, with Seven's search for perfection. It could definitely be that. The way I always saw it though is that she doesn't see the point in monogamy because she sees people from a scientist's perspective I guess you could say? Just seeing people as animals. And how usually animals don't stay with a partner but simply get together to procreate and then the male finds other females to mate with while the female raises their offspring (or that's the general idea anyway, of course it varies across the earth and especially so across the universe). She doesn't understand what love is at this point so she can't see it through an emotional perspective. I think that's also why she never considered relationships with other women, because that really requires the emotional side rather than the practical side of having children, until much later which I assume happened after Voyager returned to Earth
@@erinocelotl3578 Basically, Seven was still a 6 year old little girl when she joined Voyager. This was evident when she got scared she reverted to her last moments of being human saying, "Pappa? Pappa?" She never grew independently as a borg. I'm sure she learned about mathematics, and science as a borg, assimilation and omega that she was fascinated by, but really.. She was big kid who never got to experience her first crush.. Her first dance. Her sweet sixteen. She was a little girl in a woman's body with womanly feelings she didn't understand. When her sphere crashed she wasn't confident, she was that scared lil girl and assimilated the trio because she was terrified of being alone.
@@JaybayJay well she did, in a way, but only in Unimatrix 0 which was basically irrelevant as for the majority of her screentime she didn't even remember that it existed, but yeah :(
That stipulation began when the majority of Europe couldn't get child support from Charlemagne. That guy was quite the ho bag.
“Friends”.. no such thing.
LOL, wtf, you don't believe in friendship?
“That although I would never act on it, I couldn’t help the way I felt.” This is what it is to be a captain.
No, that is what it is to be (self-inflicted) lonely.
Not so much to be a captain, but since she was married to his best friend. Of course, a captain typically has to maintain some distance from the crew, but still.
Captain Kirk would have hit that five ways from Sunday and given them all alien STDs to remember him.
aw fuck dont stop now
I loved this episode so much
Seven: Disagrees with marriage Also Seven: Will later marry Chakotay
Seven disrobed in front of Chakotay and said, "resistance is futile."
Gotta love how all of Kim’s efforts and his relationship with Seven counted for nothing in the end Lmao. The man got cucked by Tuvok with a Hologram. Definitely a character who was hated by the writers who created him
@@Lava91point0 The writers loved Paris, though. Inconsistent and insubordinate, a loose canon in many episodes, a hero in many episodes, demoted and (re)promoted several times. While poor Harry Kim just kept plodding along, being reliable and loyal and capable, getting no respect, alternating between sidekick and damsel-in-distress.
@@pwnmeisterage I kinda liked Paris, but there was definitely favoritism going on, while Kim's character seemed to be just thrown around 90% of the time. Chakotay was another one, I think even Robert Beltram said he often felt like he was sleepwalking through the script.
Am i the only who wishes we got see the fight in the mess hall with these two? Lmao😂😂
I'd rather see them kiss.
It wouldn't have went on for very long. Torres would hit Seven and hurt her hand and Seven would just do a cute head tilt staring at her. Then Torres would realize the huge mistake she made and hide behind Tom. Remember in Episode - Day of Honor where she verbally attacked Seven and basically demanded Seven apologize for being assimilated and forced to assimilate others, something we learn later really hurt Seven, but Torres went on and on and on until Seven displayed more and more human like qualities. She was so horrible to her that I wanted Seven to clobber her but thankfully Seven didn't start getting angry about things until late in the show when Torres stopped being such a jerk.
Ugh, they never acted on it! I was hoping for a crusher cameo in picard
That may STILL happen. lol
Picard and Crusher marry in the future and found a lot of comfort and laughter together because of their friendship. Happened in one of the paperbacks, don’t recall title though...
@@yvettemarshallTWN Death in Winter. And several after that.
@@musemmgirl OK, yes! Finally, on the ocean 🌊, waves subsided, together. Two grown folks hand in hand. Random: (wonder which side of the bed Picard sleeps on?).
Seems they eventually did make a baby
so 7 is Polyamourous then.....
"Jean-Luc, I heard you. Don't push it away. When I said, 'Jack and I,' I felt this sudden wave of...something. I didn't know you felt that way." "Didn't you?" "I-I guess I always knew that there was...an attraction between us right, from the start, but I never knew how strongly you felt...Why didn't you ever tell me you were in love with me?"
Are you an interpreter for deaf youtubers that don't know how to press the CC button?
This episode is pointless in my view if crusher didn't really want to try this then there was no point in revealing Picard's past feelings
Probably moot to tell you this now after a year, but here goes anyway: This episode is one of those that focuses in character exposition and development. From the beginning, we as the viewers noticed some kind of unspoken bond between Picard and Crusher. In a previous episode, we learn part of the story, being that Crusher's husband was a friend of Picard that died years ago, and because of that Picard brought her to the Enterprise and is the reason he has been so supportive to Weasley and so implicated in his education. In this episode, we learn that it was a little deeper than just Crusher being "His friend's wife" and also a reason why at the beginning was somewhat nervous around her while others he appreciated having her close. With time, that feeling stopped being so problematic and ended up disappearing, accepting her as just a friend. Still, that doesn't mean he stopped feeling guilty about having loved her while the husband was still alive. Crusher finally knowing this and him finally being able to explain it probably answers some of her questions about Picard that were a mystery until then, he has lifted some weight from his shoulders and both of them have bonded some more in the mutual understanding they shared. This does not bring anything to the general plot of the show, but it helps the audience to empathize more and better with the characters.
Agreed. If human monogamy was natural for us, it would be effortless, as it is with other creatures which remain monogamous for life. Alas, it is not effortless, the entire idea needing to be either rethought or expunged from humanity entirely.
"We should expunge monogamy from Humanity entirely" And how do you propose that? Force everyone to have sex with each other? There's a word for that...
If you don't approve of marriage then don't get married, lol.
jeffries tube @00:21
I need a big, hard, man, and you need to get laid, both counselor troi and i can feel it! 😏😍😏
Near the end of this episode, Picard did ask Crusher if she would like to date and they shouldn’t be afraid now they both know how they each felt for one another. Crusher declined him because they’re now afraid it may jeopardize their friendship if the relationship doesn’t go well.
Excuses. Who would be lover to someone they wouldn’t even have as a friend? Friendship is a part of intimacy.
Also, how would the relationship not go well when they already ARE LOVERS who just haven’t explored one another in a new sensual (meaning physical-touch, kiss, exclusive bringing bliss to each other) kind of way? Only thing different is they realize and admit. 💚
Sending you sunshine (it’s free)! 🌞 Speaking blessings over your life, powdery smooth like suede gloves on freshly shaved skin. 😘 Love, your friend.
I always felt like this was the writers wimping out. They had already set up an intimacy between the two over multiple episodes with them discussing things over breakfast or tea... times when Picard wasn't the captain and was just "Jean Luc."
@@stuntmonkey00 part of it is that you can blame on the fact that I think TNG was about to make the transition to the movies and they wanted Picard to be somewhat like James Bond in that he would have different lady friends throughout the planned movie series. That would partially explain Insurrection.
I loved this scene entirely. The dialogue fits so well here. Picard stating he thought it was hormone, passion, lust desire... but explaining it in his own proper way. And as for Crusher, if you ever told someone your feelings knowing they were not likely to be reciprocated... well; that is how the person reacts. Awe and care, surprise, sorrow and a confusing joy, pride and sadness at the sametime
She definitely in love with him too. It is just to complicated been on one ship together as a couple and as a captain and subordinate...
how could he even begin to know what’s “likely “ in someone’s heart? You know they say, closed mouth never gets fed.
Most men probably have crushes on women in relationships.
Most women too. Just because people are in relationships don't mean they lose their appeal.
If I had been in Picard's shoes I would have given Wesley a dozen half-siblings.
Bruh XD
Every teenage boy and single men would 😏😏😏😏😂😎😁👏🏽👏🏽
Jean-Luc Picard: The only Frenchman who ever turned down _two_ affairs with married women.
I thought he was gay. That would explain it.
@@williamzhao2521 like all Frenchmen, he's bisexual.
Who's the second married woman
@@simon-peterwilliamson2412 the second was in one of the first two seasons of the show. I'd hafta look it up, but I do recall the reference.

Damn it, Picard! If you won't, I WILL!
