#Woodworking for cheap Timelapse of bass fishing piece spiral blades
Woodworking every day is a Mission. People work out every day because they love it and It makes them feel good. Well Woodworking does the same for me. My goal is to provide Woodworking videos as often as I can to help people fall in love with something. Woodworking provides a tangible object that you can keep forever or sell for a profit. Woodworking has changed my life and I want it to change yours grab a cup of coffee, beer or whiskey, depending on what kind of day it is and watch my video with me.
I mentioned a scroll saw on homedepot.com and while I think that is a good option for the budget person, I don’t think it’s the best option for $100. Please do your research and look into different kinds of scrollsaw‘s. This will assure that you find the best one for your budget.
I think it’s important to find a hobby. I think it’s important to find a drive other than just work and family Woodworking has done just that my hopes is that I can help one person fall in love with Woodworking and get them selves out of any rut that they find themselves into. Mental health is all over this world and it’s a real thing but with anxiety and depression comes the chance to take action and change I am hoping that my videos can help somebody in need of that kind of change.

Hi. Enjoying some videos; for a newb, you've got a knack for it! I subscribed. I have a new to me Dewalt 20" saw and had mixed results with my 1st project, maybe you can help out. 5/8" walnut, Olson Double Reverse 9RG. None of the scrollers were at my Woodcraft so I was on my own and bought based on packaging. It cut ok, but wandered easily and was difficult to correct direction (or re-enter at a new angle). Would a skip tooth make this easier, or I just need more practice? (my tension was set to 1/2 to 1 click lighter than throwing a blade) Thanks for any help you can offer, Scott

    • @woodworkeveryday

Yeah walnut is very dense and a hard wood so it is very normal for some wondering. Maybe step up the blade thickness and skip tooth would be good. Good luck!!

I envy you my friend, you have a brilliance of artistic talent. I too …regardless of how much I DESPISE even mentioning any ability in art I have, people call me crazy, I am never ever satisfied with my pieces. I have and god as my witness only have been satisfied in some respect to an artistic piece I made 2 or 3 times in over 35 years of creating. I rip my work up and toss them. I was always told I had a gift and this talent that others envied. I didn’t see it. It runs in my family tree, so I suppose I got it. But my stupid arrogance and hubris didn’t allow me to study and learn from either university or mentors of old. In my own mind I thought if I was truly talented as I am being told then I don’t need to be taught or go to university to obtain any degree. The best artists in history have been educated and had mentors. But I just misinterpreted the word talent in the most despicable way possible. I wasted so many years. I am now finally willing to understand what being an artist is all about. You can not just draw a human figure and get all of our anatomy and proportions correct without being educated. But I thought “talent “ meant something different. It is a catalyst in the development but it goes so much deeper. I wasn’t so many years.

Specifically, I would like to find out where to get one. Also, do they mount to any standard bench grinder? I saw that Grizzly makes a drum/flap sander that would work well for this, but it doesn't get very good reviews, and it's not an inexpensive machine. Thanks!

WOW…me too. I picked up a Delta scrollsaw 30 years also. I have a great wood shop and this is my favorite. I cut out any and everything just like this video shows. I also do a lot of what is called photo sculpturing. I mount a picture, baby announcement, wedding;g invitation etc…etc…etc onto 1/4 inch plastic acrylic and cut out the image on the scroll saw and put it on a base….and walaaaaaa…..a great way to display any image. I could certainly afford to upgrade my Delta but it does everything I need …it’s on a basal so I can roll it around in my shop. Have fun…scroll sawing is great.

I would go to your local hardware store or online like Amazon and buy a couple 1/4 inch boards of balsa wood. I like sizes like 12 by 12 inch. Maybe in the same order grab some number 5 skip tooth blades (I use olson brand). Once you get that order print out some free scroll saw patterns (googled) and then drill some holes, feed that blade through, and get cutting! Good luck and know that this hobby isn’t the cheapest or the most expensive. Everything has a start up cost. Also this is my opinion on the very little I know about what you want to do. Good luck cutting!

What brand saw is that? I just picked up the Wen scrollsaw, my only complaint is it's a bit lightweight so it jumps around a bit, but I'm going to be table mounting it which should resolve that issue, other that it's a great saw that I just started with and started cutting out random shapes and letters for practice! Super easy to use, and the instructions on how to calibrate it and change the blade adapters were very easy to follow and super simple

The lesser tools are not capable of handling intricate work cleanly. The DeWalt version (IMO) is the best entry level machine. The machine in this video is a small custom manufacturer, built in America. Very High Quality. Machine.

@@woodworkeveryday thank you. I don't do intarsia or segmentation simply because fret work, which I do, brings me great satisfaction and relaxation. I have boxes and boxes of fretwork projects. I don't sell them. I give them as gifts. Christmas ornaments are really fun. I try to find the hardest and most challenging I can.
