You are set! That's a lot of clothes, but it packs pretty small and is much more convenient than suitcases. Good preparation helps avoid problems on the way/ But the problems, and how we handle them are what we remember. Traveling with children is something I have no experience with so I look forward to watching your trip.

I think this trip is an absolutely wonderful idea. You guys are gonna have so much fun over the next few weeks. This is something your kids are gonna remember for the rest of their lives.

Wow, the trip from bend to sf is gonna be tough! Might want a backup spot to stay in Ukiah or Santa Rosa. Once you go past Ukiah, it’s pretty scenery but no towns to take a break in until Santa Rosa. If you’re tired by Ukiah, just be safe and stay there IMO. Hope the trip is awesome!!

I’m from Vegas! Born and raised in Henderson. Yes, Vegas isn’t the most family friendly, but downtown Henderson isn’t too bad (lots of nice restaurants and a snowcone place). There is also Red Rock (west vegas valley) and even Boulder City if time allows. It’s a dream of mine to do this road trip! super excited to watch it!

Excellent idea to give the kids a job. A responsibility, a challenge to look forward to. We stayed one night at a nice hotel with a pool, but the pool was empty except for about 8 inches of stagnant, scummy, dirty water with trash laying in it. Imagine going out to jump in the pool and seeing that!

Love going into the hotel pool at night in the summertime!

If you're going to Denver anyway, I highly recommend swinging down to the 'Garden of the Gods' (it has nothing to do with religion) in Colorado Springs. It's about an hour and a half north of Denver. I've seen a lot of beautiful, amazing and incredible things in my life but very few compare to GotG. Have a wonderful trip.

I'm not sure why, but I think I preferred the camera from the last video. I thought it was crisper. The sound on both seems the same to me. Both were very clear. Just watched all four parts. This sure looks like an amazing family trip! And it was cool to hear that you are using my rolls of quarters suggestion! I'm looking forward to seeing how things really go once you get started.

If you don’t want to go all the way to Portland, Maine, Ogunquit is about 20 minutes into the state. It has a beautiful 1 mile walk from the beach along the cliffs by the ocean, call the Marginal Way. The path ends up in a small harbor known as Perkins Cove. There is a little shack in Perkins Cove called the footbridge lobster and they have the absolute best and freshest lobster rolls in the country. :-) it’s a beautiful small town with all the feels of Maine. Much more Maine-like than Portland. And just a quick drive over the state line. I loved that video of you and your mom. ❤

I've travelled to CA several times in the last 5 year and I've seen the creamery but never stopped. Might have to add it to my next road trip.

That’s covering a lot of ground in a short time… sounds like crazy fun. Couple of thoughts… If you’ve got somebody who loves the NBA… you may want to consider passing through Springfield, MA to see the basketball hall of fame! Rhode Island is the best place for clam chowder… and the only place with three unique variations of clam chowder. Long drive in north Cal!!! I just come from there.The city, I like the most is Trinidad, no need to stop in Crescent and Eureka, very depresing! To see, Trees of Mystery, Avenue of the Giants, with drive trhu tree ($6). I think, due to working with about to retire people, you forgot about the kids!! :-) I would keep the ipads fully charged!! :-) Enjoy your trip!!!! great memories!!!

Well, Little Rock, Arkansas DOES have the longest pedestrian/bicycle bridge in the world designed and built for that purpose & the Clinton Presidential Center. Hope it's not too sweltering for your family.

I wish you luck at Disney. I won free tickets to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal one year and it was unfortunately in July. It was unbearable. At 7:30AM the humidity was so horrible we ended up ducking out soon after.

Avalanche Creek in Glacier National Park is beautiful! However, there are not fences or guard rails alongside of it so hold onto your kids! I sympathize with whoever is not driving but instead is keeping the kids entertained. I guess you’ve already made a stop to the Dollar Tree to dole out a new toy every once in a while, good luck! I think you need reservations to enter the park for Going to the Sun Road. Worth double-checking. Hope you have a blast, and enough “down time” too.

Fun trip! Bend is beautiful. The red rocks in Las Vegas are pretty epic too, but I guess none can beat Utah when it comes to red rocks. Bummer you are not going to the Olympic NP and driving the scenic route 101 from Washington to Oregon. Crater Lake NP is also phenomenon but I guess these are not for young kids. Have a great trip!
