Sharpness was hard to tell on my computer but the colors of Camera B were definitely better in my opinion. Glad I bought my Contax film cameras over 10 years ago.

The feel of pressing that shutter and that distinct sound is Nikon F.

Not sure if anyone else commented, but you can attach a hot shoe and Nikon made a cable release for it too.

By far the best review I have seen for the Nikon F! It really held my interest. Just got mine!

I have this camera and I loved it so much I bought two. It's small, light and turns on fast and is ready to shoot photos in seconds when needed. Not a lot of shutter lag either. I keep it with me at all times.

You could use a separate vintage rangefinder/distance finder, else a laser distance finder which is very accurate.

bad camera,no one uses that type of battery powered shutter for film anymore for many years.Mechanical cameras are the only good choice.

It looks like you had either a lot of camera shake or your exposure time was too long. I have a Pentax K1000 and once I finish recovering from my surgery, I will be giving it a shot to shoot astrophotography on film. I plan to use my star tracker and film ISO 200 or 400 and either a 50mm to get a wide angle shot or a 135mm to maybe shoot the Horsehead and Flame nebulas. I hope I do not have any star trails or camera shake.

I'd lake to make a correction! The Cable release threads inside the film advance ring, around the shutter. You may need an adapter depending on the threads your cable has though.

Whoa, did that combat photographer take that AK off a dead VC? Jk but i work with a guy who was a combat photographer in the air cav during Vietnam. He has some wild stories about hanging out helicopters trying to get photos.

Yasuhara was a chief designer at Kyocera, designing some of the most elegant cameras ever - the Contax'es of the 1980'es and 90'es. He went on to establish his own company, designing and manufacturing cameras, lenses and accessories. Highly talented guy (although his company did not last...).

There is a screw fitment for a cable release around the base of the shutter button you need a Nikon AR-2 or similar cable or adapter to use it. Great video btw

I've been there and paid more for point and shoots with a cult following to find that a £5 point and shoot I found in a market out performed it in nearly everyway. In my opinion, there might be some more premium point and shoots out there but I really don't think it's worth following mob mentality when picking one, there are some true hidden gems out there to find for £2 in the bottom of a charity shop bargain bin that will wipe the floor with the famous favourites

the iso on the camera is just for the light metre it doesn't mean it supports 12800 - no analogue camera "supports" any iso

I cannot name only one favorite camera - they each have a different use; Pentax Auto 110 Super; Olympus Pen F half-frame; SX -70; Minox BL & A; and, Minox Digital Classic Leica M3 Plus. Many others, but not favorites.

The hidden gem in your collection actually is the Voigtländer Prominent. If it is in working condition with an unblemished glass, a rarity in these days.

I would rather have a 120 camera than one of these, but it’s still a beautiful example of a well designed camera. These old lenses have a certain look to them, 35mm barely does them justice. I was looking at an Afga Ansco camera tbh

What do you mean 1/32 isn’t handheld speed? I don’t start getting blurry until around 1 second exposures tbh. I would like to try this especially for the blue tones but meh, I have other weird film to shoot x3

Quite the entertaining video. I was planning on getting a NIKON F Camera, and now I also want the NIKON F Photomic. I noticed that in the movie Full Metal Jacket and Apocolipse Now that the photographers have both the eye level and photomic NIKON F cameras.

At the end of the day it's still a point & shoot camera. In that regard, my Olympus mju1 works just fine. All do it sees only about one roll of film per year anyway...
