Hi - I wash my hand knit socks in the washer machine on gentle, cold water, and then I hang them on a drying rack. I have a ton of socks…. (I always have socks on the needles) I haven’t had a pair get ruined yet. I like to wear mine with Birks - Boston oiled leather in black and I have a brown pair. On snowy days I wear them with my doc martin boots but mine have zippers on the sides and you can kinda see my socks…. I don’t worry too much about them being seen as much as I like the comfort of them. I wash them after each wear but for me they get too loose if I wear them more than once.

Socks in Birkenstocks is my absolute favourite. I wear my two strap birks as house shoes during the winter and love seeing all of my fun colorful socks.

I learned to crochet when I was a little girl but in spring of 2023 I saw the cutest knit tank and I tried it out. Socks were my second task as well and for the same reason. They intimidated me the most so I had to conquer the fear and I’m glad I did. I love knitting my own socks. Making a pair for my husband as I watch this video. ❤

Still working on my backpack. I’m on the straps now. I want to cast on a sweater next, but I’ll finish my socks sooner or later.🤭

if you really wanna give it another go, you can undo the sock from the top! that way you can keep the bottom half of the stock, and just unravel the colour work and re-do it until you get the tension right :) that’s what i would do! but then again, i’m too scared to do colour work socks for this exact reason 🥲

Wow! I have tried the magic loop a while ago, and never got the hang of it. I just don’t have the executive brain functions for it and envy you, lol😂. Funnily enough I had no problem learning how to knit in the round on double pointed knitting needles, my brain is an anomaly I guess🤣. I love this video, thank you for sharing ❤.

I am a sock addict. You really need to buy the 2 at a time socks by Melissa Morgan -Oakes. I had “second sock syndrome” until I got this book. It is so much easier.

This is very useful video😊 Im a new and slow and sloppy knitter with a job, but 35 hours for something short and summer-y is very doable. I was planning to start a summer knit right after christmas to accommodate my slowness 😂
