@ I was thinking the assembled models must take up a bit of space. Now that you mention it, I guess I have both questions. Do you sell assembled models, and is this any part of your livelihood beyond UA-cam?

I have collaboration with Occre to build their models on UA-cam to show to people, both the ship and the build process. Kind of like “how to” with details. I don’t normally sell the ships once they’re done, some I give away and there’s a museum next to where I live I can donate too, so they will be on display. I’ve also given ships to nursing homes etc. it’s only a few models I keep for myself and some are to big to be kept. I’ve never really sold one of my ships, as I don’t know what to charge for them. 😄

Hiya. Yes, this is a 1/200 scale wooden kit from Occre. All the PE is supplied in the kit alongside everything else you need to build this behemoth 😁🫡

@ no problem mate. In my description below the video, there’s a link that will take you straight to the model on the Occre webpage. It’s an awesome kit, and if I tried a little harder I could have made the lights work. Ie using fiber cables as one in the comments suggested.

@@gretareset6016 hiya. Sorry for the delay in answering, but I’ve been away for Christmas. You’re absolutely right. The deck planks are out of scale. I can’t really make them thinner.. this is a collaboration build, so I’m also not going to buy a deck on from another brand and put it on. It would also not be good, due to how the ship is being build up. But I agree that it is out of scale. Even if I cut the planks in half they would still be out of scale, so I decided to just leave it. Hope you had a good Christmas and I wish you a happy new year. 🙌🫡🎄

There’s some more pieces going on, near the end of the superstructure build, that looks like hose reels(?) You have to tell me what that is when I get to that point. I use a filler from the local hardware store and also Occre putty. I can highly recommend the Occre putty, it’s really good. Thanks for watching and happy Christmas mate. 🫡🎄

Yea used CA flu for the PE parts. For all the details the CA glue I got dries to quickly so I don’t have time to aligns them prober. Got some new glue coming soon.

It’s going to be pretty standard, with only a little weathering. I’m building it upstairs, so don’t have the necessary tools and accessories to do something detailed. Missouri takes up the entire table in the workshop. 😅

@@garydewitt8205 it has 4. I have to make the two outboard propeller shafts at some point. 😊 I just haven’t made it to that point yet. It’s a massive built as all is wood, so things takes time. 😁
