Homeschool Planet user here too. I think for that last 3-4 years. Not sure how I functioned without it. Well worth the money. I also make most of my lesson plans. I have bought a few over the years, but I’ve also found it’s usually not necessary, just a nice to have or if I’m really short on time. It’s truly a great program and very versatile.
We started in the middle of may but we broke up at Easter and we didn’t start with language arts but more math!!! My older kids love moving assignments to another day and also doubling up so they don’t need to catch up!!! My kids know gameschooling is still school!!! Our literature is teacher led but we prefer it and I get quality time with my older kids!!! My older kids read books for history this year!!! Our co op has been awesome!!! I’m loving seeing how much we are working together especially as we end in late January as most of the families are travelling for sports comps that we are as well so if we want we can meet up at a hotel conference room if we want to add classes from February!!!
That co-op sounds like the perfect fit for your family! Glad you guys found it. My daughter wants to do more unit students (that tend to be history based), and I just had the thought that maybe I would just tie literature in with books she can read for the unit studies! Thanks for sharing!
Yes! I bet you would like them! Same author from some of the History Quests I think! We’ve bought 2 of them so far. Great prices but we haven’t used them yet

Have you checked out Hearth and Story? They have novel studies you can buy separately. We've used two of them and they are terrific!

Check Teachers Pay Teachers for novel studies! Or maybe just pick a couple novels to read together and discuss?
