    Personally I'd recommend printing the PLA prints sideways directly onto the printplate. That way only an edge of the coin is down and you retain details on both sides.

    • @nicolebiancodesigns7793

      Any saw that has a small blades would be better. Something like the scroll saw in the video, a band saw, and even small hobby table saws (thinking the small one sold by Harbor Freight for example) would work. You want fine detail blades to make the cuts smooth against foam. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching the video!

    what's the price for this machine.. looking around and can't get a price, I've seen 2 or three prices, but it was up there in price , where I'm not believing it's the right price.

    • @nicolebiancodesigns7793
      @nicolebiancodesigns7793 2 роки тому

      Ray, Prices for this machine vary a lot based on your location. My suggestion always when looking for any embroidery machine is contact several dealers and get their current price/offer deals. Some may be a better price or come with more add ons but be just a little more of a drive. Also depending on which dealer you get it from they may have incentives like 1st tune up is free. I have seen prices vary over thousands of dollars. It just depends. I hope this helps! Good luck!

    • @nicolebiancodesigns7793
      @nicolebiancodesigns7793 2 роки тому

      Hello Dion! I believe if you use a thin blade on a higher speed, it would cut foam board. The real test would be if it would cut it nicely on both sides. Definitely worth a try just make sure to be safe especially with the particles. Some of the particles from foam board can be nasty/toxic. Hope this helps!

    I'm creating a culture in which the act of gifting someone a Deck of Many Things is effectively telling that person you want their campaign to end immediately, and permanently.

    • @nicolebiancodesigns7793

      Super chaotic! It would be cool if that was a part of the campaign dynamic. Like if a player character accepts the deck and picks a card, that triggers the reality to change. ::starts to write a new campaign setting right now::

    Can you use eva for making slippers?

    • @nicolebiancodesigns7793
      @nicolebiancodesigns7793 3 роки тому

      EVA Foam could be used for the inside. Most thin EVA foam isn't strong enough to withstand becoming a full slipper. Like a flip flop. I have seen a ton of people making EVA foam covers for shoes to make boots for cosplay. Those usually are thicker EVA Foam more like the workout mat thickness.

    Would hot glue work for EVA foam?

    • @nicolebiancodesigns7793
      @nicolebiancodesigns7793 3 роки тому

      Hot Glue does work but I wouldn't advise it for your EVA project gluing. More information: Hot glue tends you unglue depending on the fluctuation of temperature and it doesn't allow for seamless visuals. Now if you want to use it to attach some details and you will cover your project with a thermoplastic, it might be okay. If you are worried about fumes from contact cement, there are other glues that work, as well as, a company named Cosbond who makes non-toxic glue sheets. I am working on a video talking about their products because I love new options and some people may not know about those options. Hope this helps and let me know if you want more information!

    • @fauxmarmorer9544
      @fauxmarmorer9544 3 роки тому

      You can use hot glue, and if you work with it enough and learn how to use it well you can get near seamless, seams. Also you can fill seams with a product called kwik seal, it's a flexible caulk that you can smooth with water, I reccomend this as a final step before priming, as it takes a while to fully cure. Elmer's rubber cement is also a decent adhesive option, I haven't put it to the full test, but it's plenty strong for most things, use more than one layer, and either put a line of hot glue on the back of the seam, or a strip of thinner foam to really hold it together
