The whole history of Bruce and Kosho Ryu has been fabricated. In the 1980’s he was so popular because the internet wasn’t out at that time and the world could not connect to compare notes. Today these type of frauds are exposed do to the internet with people connecting and sharing and proving information.When asked to Bruce why about the book he wrote - "why is Mitoses signature in his book he wrote erased out ?". His answer is " because so no one could copy Mitoses’ signature". What a clever why to cover a lie. Things don’t seem to match here. The reality is it’s a lie. Why do famous actors and sports people have letters and signatures in books but do not block out their signatures?... That’s why we have hand writing experts to easily determine by cross referencing that signatures are real or not...no need to cross them out in a book . Bruce talks in his videos about being true to ones self but he is the biggest twister of truth. He is a good showman and fabricator. Crazy how people follow this guy. Today alot of people have researched him and found out his lies. He doesn't have the following he had for years. Eventually people seek truth. Some know but turn a blind eye. Its sad.

Also in the book "What is self defence" in the front of the book it shows "Kosho Shorei Ryu Publishing company" a business name Bruce registered. So the book was reprinted and changed to add his so called letters from Mitose promoting him to Hanshi of the art which were also a lie. Its amazing how some people believe all this. He only visited Mistose a few times in prison. This has all been proven from prison logs ...They were visitation behind glass. Not to mention stealing the Mistose family crest without permission. This crest was in the Mitose family for along time. He had no right doing that. Thats speaks volumes to who Bruce is. If anything it belonged to Thomas Mitose. Bruce said he learned from Mistose in prison.... Impossible. They would never allow such a thing go on in a maximum security prison especially in those days with a prison equivalent to Alcatraz. Could that stem from the fact that my Dad whom I love with all my heart and soul actually hit me 1 time... and it didn't even hurt because I was thinking it was going to really hurt... balling just waiting then i slap... ok.. that wasn't so bad however I was just being sarcastic and not answering with a yes or no since that was too easy of an answer. These videos helped me understand my professor's direction how gave belts. It was obvious it was not about skill, muscle, or knowledge. I did not understand why these students deserve their next rank. I study a form of Professor's Chow's Kenpo before it was certified as Karaho Kenpo taught by his student Ron Alo which he eventually changed to his own. Ron's first student Stan Mattson and his Student Bill Marron focused preserving Karaho or Kenpo Karate the way chow originally taught. There are several katas and not sure if they weren't Mitose's or added cause of the Japanese trips to add to chow's limited system at the time. As the self defense sets are obviously chows works and fighting drills Ron Alo's also knife defense from Alo, and Stan while station in the Marines. Beside all the history as I study a William chow system James Mitose was highly more praised for his position as a spiritual person as my school often are in churches or YMCA's much like professor chow taught not owning a school. There are only a few now these days who know this system anymore and I not saying it is indeed the same that taught Ed Parker, Ralph Castro, Emperado cause in Ron Alo's hand I know he felt it wasn't complete or needed more much like chows students but we do believe we have as close to chow's orginal system which would have Mitose's influence much in it.

I took a few lessons from him but he & I never made that "connection",.. I appreciate and Respect GM Juchnics dedication and knowledge towards KEMPO,... That's odd. I have NEVER heard of Bruce Juchnik ever saying anything negative about Ed Parker.

When Wade Hoover was first arrested in October of 2012, Brent Crisci, doing business as United Martial Arts Academies, had ample opportunity to do damage control and be forthcoming with his former students and their families who had been exposed to Hoover at the United Martial Arts Academies dojo’s. (An article in Central Maine newspapers at the time indicated Hoover had been an instructor at United Martial Arts Academies, but gave no information as to the time frame or duration and extent of Hoover’s association with the operation.) By the time Hoover was convicted and sentenced by both Federal and State Courts for sexually abusing and making videos of the crimes, again Crisci could have contacted former students/families and explained his position and relationship to Hoover and that he had been unaware of Hoover’s deviant behaviors before Hoover’s arrest. He chose not to do so, and it appeared he was hoping silence and time would make people forget the some twenty years Wade Hoover had been connected with Crisci’s martial arts operation. My own son was a student at United Martial Arts Academies for a few years, apparently during the time when Hoover was there, yet no one from UMAA has ever contacted me to express concerns or explain its position in the matter. My concern continues to be for those who were sexually abused as children and continue to bear the pain and emotional scars through their adult lives. The damage done never goes away.

@BruceJuchnik Mr.Juchnik, I know you learned Kosho Ryu Kenpo from James Mitose and I would like to ask you one thing if I could respectfully, please. Isn't Kosho Ryu Kenpo from Okinawan origin as techniques of Okinawan Karate? I constantly hear, that Kosho Ryu Kenpo is Chinese techniques mixed in and I researched this and while I can see the onset history of how the Okinawans learned a style of Kung Fu a great many years back that eventually they turned that into Okinawan karate which Kosho Ryu Kenpo is being from Okinawan in origin and the techniques of Okinawan Karate. I see many references to American Kenpo and the added Chinese techniques of this and that.. And that's all fine and good with no disrespect to anyone, but as far as I've seen it going way back to the start, that Kosho Ryu Kenpo is of Okinawan origin as techniques of Karate with no Chinese named techniques like dragon hands, ect. If you good verify what I wrote, it would greatly help me understand. I again know you are a first generation Kosho Ryu Kenpo practitioner. Thank You Sir for your time, I appreciate it.
