What This Wisconsin Doctor Discovered About Healing MS Naturally!
Have you been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis or another autoimmune condition? Do you have brain fog, fatigue, nerve symptoms and more?
For this week’s episode of the Reawaken Your Health podcast, we discussed how to improve mitochondrial health to improve energy and vitality with naturopathic physician and author, Dr. Debra Muth. Dr. Muth wrote the book, "If Not MS, Then What?" to describe her journey into solving her sudden health changes that began in 2022.
Dr. Muth described her fall from health into numbness, neck pain, fatigue, memory issues and much more. She even had brain MRI scans that showed white matter disease, which is typically a sign of infection or toxins until proven otherwise.
We discussed the approach Dr. Muth took, including treating a chronic Lyme disease infection, addressing mold toxicity, optimizing her hormones and brain retraining of the prefrontal cortex. She goes into more detail why she needed to work on each of these issues and the benefits of each.
She also touched on improving mitochondrial health. She mentioned what the mitochondria do for us and how we can improve their function in our cells.
We also explored lifestyle changes that are critical to our mitochondria, including addressing stress, environmental toxins, sleep issues and diet. We touched on some solutions for each of these areas.
Dr. Muth has over two decades of experience in treating complex chronic illnesses. Because she was able to resolve her symptoms despite a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, she has a unique and comprehensive approach to restoring health.
Please join us to learn more about mitochondrial health and chronic illness!

"Both Jana and I have benefited greatly from your course. I had a lot of pain because I’m bone on bone in my right knee, but refused to skydive on a fake knee so I had resolved to simply put up with the pain. My pain is much more manageable now and sometimes nonexistent. Thanks for all you do!" Randy Hubbs, Business Owner

    Hey doc, I just wanted to thank you for helping explain this. I have been trying to find an answer for this pain and lack of mobility in my left calf for almost 2 years now and this video finally gave me what i think might be the answer. I was at the gym last week and i tried doing calf raises and i noticed that i can only really raise with my right calf and my left one just seems to hurt when i try. Is there variations of this problem or do i have symptoms of another issue that i need to know about. please get back to me when you can. Thank you!

      Hi John! There can be multiple reasons why your can't lift up on your toes. Low back issues, including nerve impingement, is a common reason why. Sometimes people get their nerve pinched in other areas that can contribute to this issue as well. I'd definitely get looked at by a healthcare provider. This is what I have suspected about the B vitamins. Why would.we store B12 only? So this helps me. D can help to restore Bs.. but now there is the question of D maintenance dose.. we can’t do daily. Can we just keep taking 50,000 every week? Shoot. How did you calculate how much a person needs… ? And to keep the dose I frequent. Once a week or less.. not daily. Also B12. Oh I’m so angry., the pathologists are lying about the biopsies. There are parasites. Oh I’m so angry..

      Hi James. I'm so sorry to hear you had trouble from an injection. I never prescribe drugs and I work with people to teach them how to calm the nervous system to release muscles that abnormally press on nerves that cause this. I'd be happy to chat so we can look at working on this. Every person is different so there is not a specific exercise I would give you until I've seen your body and assessed what's wrong.

    Thank you for the advice! The writing posture makes sense for relaxing the shoulders/arms. Now how do we maintain that posture while not craning/bending our neck to look down at the paper which is now lower at elbow height?

    • @DrAmyNovotny
      @DrAmyNovotny 2 місяці тому

      Great question. Most people don't use their eye muscles separately from their necks. If you look down first with your eyes and still can't see the paper, then you can start to tilt your head down using muscles in the front of your neck. Your whole neck doesn't need to go forward. I hope this helps.

      Hi. The relaxation part can be difficult depending on the person. That's what I work with people on. Generally speaking, your ribs need to relax down and in to get your back muscles to relax. You can try switching sides often but ideally you want to be able to sit straight back or stand with a neutral spine.

    Hi! Thanks so much for this informative video :) I was wondering if I have to lean back if I use my exercise bike in a recumbent position? I usually lean forward (straight back, not arching) and hold the bars to engage my abs (the bars are chest level for my bike since it converts between upright and recumbent).

    • @DrAmyNovotny
      @DrAmyNovotny 3 місяці тому

      Hi! It really depends on how your body is positioned on the bike. If you are trying to get a leg workout, I'd recommend leaning back into the support so you can focus on your thigh muscles learning to do the work. If you are sitting up straight, you are training your back muscles.

      When you go to a doctor for a preventative check up, you typically don't get a cancer diagnosis at that time. You get might get referred for additional testing to explore what's going on. So, I wouldn't say preventative check ups are bad and I don't believe Katherine feels that way either.

    Hi, Dr. Amy! I'm 59 with osteoporosis and herniated L4-L5 and L5-S1 discs. To gain leg strength, I will purchase a recumbent bike. What brand(s) do you recommend for a modest budget? Thanks for your videos! Cathy

    • @DrAmyNovotny
      @DrAmyNovotny 4 місяці тому

      Hi Cathy, Instead of a particular brand, I'd try to go to a sports shop and try out the bikes. There are so many types out there and you want to make sure you can sit in one and try it out to see if it fits to your body. You want a seat that reclines a tiny bit so that your whole back can touch it. Then the pedals need to adjust to the length of your legs. There is not one best one out there. You really need to try a variety out at a store. Thanks!

    I don't think there's really any such thing as an "autoimmune" disorder because the human body isn't stupid. It isn't attacking its own body. According to scientist, Lida Mattman, PhD, what the immune system is really going after are the "stealth" Cell-Wall-Deficient bacteria hidden in those tissues. CWD bacteria cells are so tiny that they're as small as, or even smaller than, the cells of a virus. In addition, it takes months for them to be seen on a petri dish so pretty much all lab tests miss them because their tests only run for up to 3 days. Other scientists are saying Vitamin D isn't really a vitamin, that it's a natural steroid which was misclassified as a vitamin back in the 1920s. So I wonder if that's one reason why people feel better after taking it: are they, in fact, taking a (natural) steroid? In addition, scientists say this D-substance feeds the CWD bacteria. They LOVE the stuff so, of course, they multiply and grow stronger, eventually making us sicker. I avoid taking "Vitamin" D supplements. (There are websites and YT videos on the science behind the "Marshall Protocol.") What finally cured my heart disease was homeopathy. It has cured so many problems in my family, even my loved one's "incurable" "bipolar with psychosis" and another relative's so-called "schizophrenia." (What they both seem to have had was Toxoplasmosis, a common cause of mental disorders typically misdiagnosed as "bipolar" or "schizophrenia," likely contracted from our sick cat.) -- Linda, author of "Goodbye, Quacks - Hello, Homeopathy!"

    • @DrAmyNovotny
      @DrAmyNovotny 4 місяці тому

      Thanks for sharing this Linda. I have many clients who use homeopathy as well as take vitamin D. Yes, vitamin D is mislabeled and it's a hormone that's produced in our body in response to sunlight. So many of our conditions are related to a multitude of factors and finding the right solutions can take time and be frustrating. I'll look into the CWD bacteria!

    • @lindasantini5618
      @lindasantini5618 4 місяці тому

      @@DrAmyNovotny I so agree with you, Dr. Amy. It's just my theory, but I think CWD bacteria are the same thing as the miasms. As you probably already know, if someone contracts, say, syphilis and has it treated with high-dose, short-term antibiotics, the bacteria just run and hide somewhere in the body. They often don't show up in the bloodstream but they're still there. They don't come out again until the coast is clear and they often simply pleomorph into CWD bacteria. The founder of homeopathy, Dr. Hahnemann, discovered the same thing 200 years ago even though he didn't use microscopes. Back then, syphilis was treated with mercury (!) which turned the illness into what he termed a miasm. They sure seem to be the same thing as CWD bacteria. I really can't tell the difference. I'm not a doctor or scientist, just someone who is fascinated by homeopathy and use it to cure pretty much everything in my family. BTW, there are lots of medical doctors who now treat their patients with homeopathy. According to the science underlying the "Marshall Protocol," (videos here on YT) people feel better with "Vitamin" D because it feeds their CWD bacteria, making them happy so they are not so hungry or aggressive. Scientists say that when we do this time and again, often decade after decade, these bacteria grow stronger and are what eventually overwhelm the body and kill us. The Marshall Protocol did help my heart a little - but homeopathy cured what was causing all the palpitations, skipped beats and other "gymnastics." That was years ago. - Linda, author of "Goodbye, Quacks - Hello, Homeopathy!" (It's about how psychiatry is quackery and cures no one - and is also a primer on homeopathy.)

    Wow I stumbled upon this open focus/feeling space in my own meditation explorations (I think this is the same thing that would be called "the felt sense of being" in meditation language.) I kind of underestimated its significance for a while because it seemed almost too easy but now do this all throughout the day. It's basically instant liberation, you are immediately "unstuck" from some inner point of view or fixation and feel clear and open and free and not in opposition to anything. I imagine the space expanding to include the entire universe and everything the you can perceive. Amazing shift in a matter of seconds. Fantastic to hear the brain science behind this!
